These guys are good at fixing vehicles. Our Ford F150 front drivers side caliper got stuck shut coming down 221 from Spruce Pine. We arrived at Camping World in Marion but noticed a bad smell and smoke coming from behind the front driver side wheel. I called Derek's muffler and automotive repair at 1:45 p.m. on a Saturday. They close at 2:00 on Saturdays, but we're kind enough to fix our truck so we could take our camper home. The mechanic that worked on the caliper and rotor and brake pads on the front driver side was also kind enough to put the two extra pads that came with the other two on the passenger side. All this was done at a reasonable price. They did not raise the price because it was Saturday and they did not raise the price because they worked an hour overtime. I extremely urge you if you ever have problems in the Marion area to go to Derek's muffler and automotive repair! They will do you right and fix it right!

I was very pleased with the job they did for me to replace valve cover gaskets on my SUV. The cost for the job was well within my budget. Everyone from the lady at the front desk right down to the one who shows you what they did very courteous and family oriented. Will go back!! A+ guys

Definitely recommend. 🚙 My Jeep died on my trip to North Carolina from the Midwest and these people did all they could and beyond to help us out knowing we were pretty stranded at the time. They even looked over my vehicle to troubleshoot problem at no charge.

These guys were awesome!! We were traveling and had trouble with the brakes on our truck. We had already spent a considerable amount of money getting the brakes fixed only to drive on to Marion and had the same problem. Derrick's Mufer knew exactly the problem, stopped what they were doing and got parts and repaired in about 2hrs for a lot less than we had earlier paid. They know vehicles!!

I was camping in Marion and my truck blew out a brake line. These guys helped me on a Saturday. Did a great job on the repair and were very reasonable, did not try to take advantage of me being from out of town. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Had them work on our Cadillac because it was running hot. We had to have a motor replaced the other was done for. 2 weeks we were driving again. That was 2 weeks to check old motor, pull old one, order new one, and put it in. That's pretty fast in my opinion. Ross is my go to guy, very nice, knowledgeable, and gets the job done. Thank you to all of yuns, we Cadillacing again.

This is one of the most efficient and honest auto repair shops around old fort and surrounding areas. Ross is a great mechanic, and will find the fix to any auto related repair. They work on both foreign and domestic vehicles for an affordable price

Just dropped in unannounced needing some exhaust work performed. They were working on it within 30 minutes and fixed more than I was quoted with no upcharge. Upstanding group of people with great prices.

I got a new engine put in, and Derek made sure that I had a warranty to cover it, so that it would be better protected in the future. His pricing was extremely fair, and allowed me to get an even better motor than previously quoted at another shop, for my car.

He has also done exhaust work, which I love, and am extremely happy to show off. He knows exactly what his customers are aiming for, and he does his best to provide that.

I'm from Florida and was in Asheville for Thanksgiving week 2020. The heat shield of my exhaust came loose and was rattling. I went to 3 different shops and no one could take my car in the same day since everyone is short-staffed this week. I went to Derek's and they were extra nice and were able to squeeze me in given that I was out of town and had to drive back home . Thank you so much for the help!!

Was in a wreck on Thursday which really messed my muffler up and needed it fixed. Went to 4 places on Friday trying to find someone to fix it... none of which had time to fit me in.... however, Derek's Muffler, even tho they were covered up too, was able to help me out. I travel alot for my work and absolutely needed this done so I could run my business and they were able to help me out. So, shout out to these guys here for being understand of my situation and getting back on the road so I could continue business as normal.

My van broke down at my grand daughters VBS. We called around finally got someone to come pick it up. After getting it in the shop the next morning, they told me a list of things that was causing it. So I told them not to mess with it and I brought it to Derek's Muffler where he told me he would find the problem asap. He then contacted me and told me it was the fuel pump. After just fixing that one part, my van was working perfectly again. This is the best shop in Marion, and I will continue to bring my vehicles to this affordable and reliable place.

Got my vehicle fixed at a good price and they do accept walk ins..being my only transportation I needed it worked on before I drove any further...all other places I called...wanted to set an appointment for three days later...I needed my vehicle fixed asap.. Dereks Muffler & Auto did a outstanding job. I was back on the road...my vehicle feeling brand new agian. 👊😊

The Taj Mahal it ain’t. But if you’re looking for honest, swift, economical service, get your car or truck to Derek’s Muffler! My wife and I broke down high in the Appalachian mountains near Mt. Mitchell on a holiday weekend. These men worked their mechanical magic and got our only vehicle back up and running in short order! The only wait was for parts and that was out of their control. While they’re located over an hour from us, I’d seriously consider using them again! Thanks guys!

I brought my 85 Camaro up there for some exhaust work,,, being a man of over 30 years experience as an A.S.E. Certified mechanic/custom specialist I shopped around before letting them work on my car,,,, I'm 100% disabled now and no longer have my own shop,,, so I was reluctant getting it done by anyone but myself!!! I just got done building the cars motor and transmission,,, it took me over a year to get everything done since I live on a low fixed income and have a hard time doing the work now,,, but I wanna say that these guys run a family owned business so I was comfortable with the atmosphere there and the staff that worked there,,,Matt had some an excellent job on my exhaust because he took the time to do things right,,, they price was alittle more then wanted to pay but it was well worth the trip,,, I'm very satisfied with his work on my baby!!!
