Macado's

First time visiting this establishment. On the outside of the door they have a sign posted saying please be patient because we are short staffed. The staff was super nice and they made good recommendations on the drinks and food. On Sunday they have 3.50 Bloody Mary's drink specials and .39 cents for boneless wings. I also ordered the basket of pretzels with the beer cheese dip, which was amazing!!!

Some girlfriends & I were out shopping while visiting the area. It was time for a snack & a beer. They have quite a few things I would have liked to tried out, but appetizers were on our minds at the time. The atmosphere was great. The fresh cinnamon rolls they were making smelled delicious. We sat at the bar, where they had lots of tv’s to watch the games that were on. I will definitely go back for sure to enjoy more of there menu, when I’m in the area.

The atmosphere at Macado's is amazing. It has a very cozy, informal vibe. There are many different choices on the menu and our table of 5 all LOVED the food! There were only a few severs which slowed things down only a tad but we still got everything we needed and wanted. I will definitely be eating here again!!

My husband and I love coming here. We have been coming here for over 30 years. We love how they kept the same feel from our college days through the renovations. Mike Bosse has always been a great manager and has put a lot into this. We had the pleasure of meeting Austin and Ben today! Excellent service!! Very clean.
We had the Jamaican Jerk Wings and Thai Chili with hot sauce and fries. Ben had more tables come in but killed it. Enjoy the photos! See you soon!

It’s been about 14 years since I frequented Macado’s back as an AppState student. Stopped in and was surprised to see it renovated! Got a great happy hour deals on pint mug margaritas and tacos. My fiancé also got a burger and thought it was really good. Service was great and quick despite the bar person being the only one managing the bar and the bar side of the restaurant. Really good spot for a wideeee variety of sandwiches and beer. A go-to 14 years ago and a go-to now. Wish we had had room for the infamous cinnamon roll!

Not to be missed..busy so try yo plan ahead. Generous portions and selection of craft beer. When seated at bar couples do not have to wait too long for service. Great atmosphere..we had a super day in Boone!!

It had been years since I had eaten at Macado's, but I was not disappointed! The food was delicious! I ordered the McDuffy and it was one if the best sandwiches I've ever eaten! There were six of us and everyone was more than satisfied with their meal!

We loved this place! It's really charming, the food was really good, and our server Piper was terrific.

Went there for a drink after a day of hiking. Their house chips and cinnamon buns are a must. Great overall environment.

Grabbed lunch after touring App state. Definitely will be back, delicious food and great service too!

We had a late lunch last Friday while traveling through the high country as leaf peepers. We were a party of two and got lucky with parking out front and waited less than 10 min.
We were seated in a big booth in the bar area and were greeted by a smiling, friendly bartender named Madeline.
She answered all our questions and gave us time to read the menu. We started with the Bang Bang shrimp. It was piping hot, fresh, huge and delicious, served with ranch dressing.
Next up was Mom's Ceasar salad with more fresh grated cheese on top than they gave me in Italy. The dressing was amazing. You can tell they are all housemade.
Our meals came out in perfect timing and they were big portions. Mom ordered the grilled chicken alfredo with fresh broccoli and penne pasta, all cooked to perfection with a generous side of tasty garlic bread.
I ordered the Buffalo fried Crazy Chris wrap with fries (and I was delighted at how fluffy, crispy and tasty they were) Perfectly seasoned and sauced, I also got a side of bleu cheese for dipping the wrap. Yummy.
We had read reviews for so many places and decided each visit is different. We weren't disappointed at anything. Great food, Covid friendly, nice atmosphere and clean. No tourist trap here!
We will be back. Home is 2 hours away.

I ordered their fabulous chicken salad croissant. My adult daughters ordered burgers, and my hubby ordered chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were a bit over cooked, but everything else was great. They waitress was sweet and took the chicken fingers off the order. Great place...great memories.

Been eating here for the last 30 plus years. One of my favorite places to eat in Boone.

The best cinnamon roll I have ever had. 2 thumbs up. No clue about any other food. Cool stuff on the walls. I enjoyed the framed Wheaties boxes in the bathroom.

This was our 1st time here. They seemed short staffed but our server was awesome. I hate I didn't remember his name but that guy was in running mode the whole time, serving and cleaning tables. They should give that young man a raise! The food was very good, I'll definitely try it again next time I'm in Boone.

After touring Appalachian State University, we were hungry. Saw Macado's downtown, and decided to have lunch before headed on the road for our five hour drive. The food was delicious!!! The waiter was very kind. Sat us near one of their TV screens as we watched Rugby. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. When we visit again, we'll make sure to stop by for lunch 🥰

Really like this place, huge verity of sandwiches to choose from. The atmosphere in this restaurant is really cool too, also they have awesome homemade cinnamon rolls! Will definitely be going back here soon, good drinks at the bar to!
