Mast General Store Boone

Fun to visit the original store. We have been to a couple others

We bought jackets, children's books, toys, candy, a knife, and nehi grape soda.

That's two locations here. The original store that has a large knife selection and shoes, kitchen stuff and children's toys.

Then the annex that has a huge candy selection, camping, hiking and outdoors wear and a massive selection of clothing.

Hit them both up

A most interesting establishment. Certainly the variety of candy is extraordinary. Many unique items you don’t see any more. Be prepared though it’s $6 for a half pound.
Prices on many items were hard to find.

There is a large clothing selection on the first floor. Be sure to venture to the second floor for many other items such as shoes and gifts.

Conveniently located in the downtown area.

This store has a little bit of everything making it a true General Store. One of the must see places while visiting Boone NC. Old school candy and throw back toys and local goodies and kitchen items on one side and clothing to keep you outfitted for a good hike or the super cold winters on the mountain on the other. Nothing is cheap by any means but where else can you get your candy sticks aka candy cigarettes?

This is a pretty cool store in the heart of "Downtown Boone." The store is divided in two with one side being outdoor/adventure type clothing and the other half being a really cool vintage candy store that also has a small collection of craft sodas. They also have a pretty nice collection of unique t-shirts.

The only downside is that it is a bit touristy and on weekends has always been crowded when I've visited. But definitely worth a visit.

Famous store to go to in Boone for decades. I love all the clothes and shoes. Mast Store has an old timey feel. Kids will love the candy barrel section and all the unique toys. Great store and has the similar products and excellence that their other locations have. They sell clothing, outdoor gear, and many food options, like their apple cutter and baking mixes. Don't forget about their extensive, old-fashioned candy available to purchase by the pound!

GREAT General Store with decor tha gives a nod to an earlier time! Barrels for candy and vintage items decorate shelves. Highly recommend a walk through!

Any visit to Boone, NC, must include a shopping trip to Mast General Store. Great sale racks! Finest offers of quality garments you will proudly wear. Be sure to visit upstairs and don't dare miss the candy store. I promise you will be happy you made a visit and your sweet tooth will love you too!

Really fun general store. They have what you need and even more items that you never knew that you did! Everything from old-fashioned candy to snacks, camping gear, clothing and so much more. I lost an hour of my life and some money! Lots of fun.

Always love going here when we are in town. This time we brought our dog and the staff all loved on her. She got to pick out a toy.

I had visited Mast General Store once before many years ago. Without a doubt this store was a lot larger now. It was organized like before but noticed their store was laid out like a Vendors Marketplace. My wife Loved It! There was a literal plethora of antiques, collectables as well as new merchandise and we made two stops to make some purchases. It will definitely be a future place to visit, despite the numbers of people who were there, for it Was Very busy.

Nostalgic fun. Lots of neat, some hard to find items. We have been coming here for years and there are always new, unique items. I love the history behind the Mast General Store. We also love to stop by the Candy Barrel and other unique shops while we are there. Everyone should visit at least once. If you do, you will be sure to go back!

Always a bit of an adventure. Lots of camping gear, but also clothing for men and women, lots of old-timey kitchen tools, hats, knives, rocking chairs, even barrel candy like the stores of old. And high-quality throughout.

This is one of the must visit stores when visiting the Boone area. From the old fashioned candies to the games we remember as kids. They also have a very nice selection of clothing. Staff is always nice and helpful.

Fun store! Definitely stop in

2 floors of seasonal clothing in all colors and fabrics, geared to the outdoors and cozy in house lounging, aprons, kitchen gifts and Boone and mountain themed souvenirs. Fabulous barrels and tables of candies, jams and goodies. Well kept and friendly staff. A must visit when I am in Boone.

Much better store layout than the Original Mast General Store in Valle Crucis. There was a very helpful employee that was helping when my sister was buying some Chacos. A lot more selection when it comes to clothing than the Original store as well.
