Mac&Z Play and Cafe

I came across a Groupon for 2hr play and my 2yr old and I loved it so much. We’ve been there a couple times and had her 2nd birthday party there! The party room was the perfect size and was already set up and sanitized for the kids. I had the most compliments on her birthday party! The staff are always so accommodating, welcoming and kind. I appreciate the cleanliness and the constant disinfecting. My baby loves to play and momma loves the coffee! If they were closer to my house, we’d be there all the time!

My daughter and I absolutely love this place! They offer many activities for kids and even have craft time and Spanish classes. Its a great place to grab a cup of delicious coffee, relax and let the kiddos play. They also have a nice sitting area with tables where you can bring a laptop and get some work done. They offer all kinds of yummy treats with gluten free options as well. The wondeful staff and owner keep the place very clean and sanitzed. Highly recommend.

This place is awesome!

Stopped in for what happened to be opening week. Checked in the toddler for two hours of supervised play time. Grabbed a Latte and a scone, set up my laptop at the bar seating looking into the play area.

Daughter went from station to station around the play area, four other kids playing at the time which kept her occupied. They had a dedicated play area adult monitoring the kids and picking up.

Will definitely be back.

This is the cleanest, brightest and most convenient drop-in play place in the metroplex that I’ve been to. They clean constantly, check temperatures of all the guests upon arrival (very important), have all the treats my little love, and are very friendly to all. BONUS: blazing fast WIFI and flat screen for the dads. A+!!! Pete P

If you’re looking for a fun, clean and family friendly place for your kiddos, THIS IS IT!! They hosted our sons 3rd Birthday Party and it went flawlessly! The party room is spacious, you get hands on help to set up and take down, you also get extra time to do that that won’t cut into your party time!!! And best of all, you get the whole place to yourself! We were allowed to bring in our own food/cake as well, but they have a cafe with yummy treats if you just want your guests to treat themselves!
You will not be disappointed with visiting! Your kids will love it and you’ll have a few hours to yourself, which is a great plus :)
Oh and as far as security, there’s a camera so you can watch your kiddo play, a gate to keep the kiddos in the play area and a code to get on!
Mac and Z is our go to for fun and we hope you’ll visit soon!

We came to play for the first time today. I have a four and two year old and they both loved it and were occupied with imaginative play the entire time we were there. The facility is bright and cheery and set up like a little town. There is a nice amount of tables and chairs outside of the play area to eat, work and drink coffee. The teddy graham latte I had was delicious and there are snacks available for purchase as well as food. I didn’t get food today but there were several options for kids and were well priced. Several others ordered food and looked and smelled delicious. The owner was very sweet and attentive. This is a great spot to meet up with friends or get some work done while your kids play. We will definitely be back!

This is a very well though place with lots of attention to detail. The play area is by far one the most entertaining (at least for my daughter), it feels safe and secure, and it is beautifully decorated. Food options are great and the coffee is outstanding. We will definitely make this place part of to go activities with out kids.

It’s the perfect place to meet a friend for a play date and grab a coffee! My toddler has so much fun playing with all of the toys in the different areas and everything is always sparking clean. Definitely check it out if you have little ones!

We had our son’s first birthday party at Mac&Z and it was a fantastic experience! The staff and owner couldn’t be nicer and the place accommodates adults and kids so nicely. There’s plenty of space at the venue to decorate and host. It just has an adorable look and feel!

What an awesome concept especially during these times to try and celebrate birthdays! Booked a private party where we had the entire place to ourselves. Everything exceeded our expectations!

Definitely want to highlight the owner Hallie and staff Kat, Christine and Abbigayle who went above and beyond to put the together a perfect birthday for our daughter. From the planning to execution it was such a stress free experience. They went over the top in decorating the party room and hosting all of the guests. Everyone one of the staff were all so courteous and attentive.

Great local business and we will definitely support them for future celebrations!

Great play cafe for kids and parents. Very clean, organized, fun. Adults are required to wear masks which we like. Kids under certain age are not required, but my 3yo has no problem masking inside. Cafe has great food and coffee. Restrooms always clean. Highly recommend!

My 3 and 5 year olds LOVE this place. There were so many different areas for them to play and explore. As a parent, I genuinely enjoyed spending time here too. They have a coffee bar and have food options. It was a great place to relax while the kids played. I can definitely see this as a place to meet up for play dates in the future.

Mac&Z’s was the PERFECT place to host our 3 year old’s birthday party this past weekend. Everything was set up perfectly and the kids had a blast! The team at Mac&Zs even had a gift for our birthday boy after the party. All our party attendees had a great time and the parents were hoping to bring their kids back soon!

We love this place! Hosted a joint birthday party for our kids in May and they had such a fun time. My son has attended summer camp a couple weeks in June and loves it as well! Great coffee too and very friendly staff

I have loved both times I've been to Mac&Z. My almost 3 year-old and my 9 month old both have plenty of activities to do. It's a great place to go with other mom friends and enjoy the atmosphere. The coffee was great and music choice impeccable. It truly is an upscale indoor play place for kids and cafe for parents. I have nothing but good things to say about Mac&Z.

This place is a go-to with your kids. Such a relaxing, clean environment. Tasty food at the cafe too. I always leave with my son happy and I feel like I get a break but am able to be close by! The staff is super friendly and truly enjoy what they do. Highly recommend the membership

Mac&Z is such a great place to take the kiddos and enjoy a coffee with an avocado toast while the little ones get their energy out. My two toddlers love all the imaginative play, from the fire department and vet's office to the cafe and grocery store. They have a ball! And the best part is no clean up duty for me 😅. Also, did mention the avocado toast? Seriously, try it 🥑

There are many reviews already about the quality, hygiene, and fun about Mac&Z Play and Cafe which I totally agree with. I arranged a birthday party for my 5yo daughter and her classmates (included boys and girls) two weeks prior to the event. I purchased their "Next Level Up" birthday package.

Over that 2 weeks, the staff took several steps that made this a truly amazing customer experience:

- They first took the time to get to know me, define aspirations for a memorable outcomes, and understand my communications preferences and how involved or informed I wanted to be on progress
- They asked about my daughter's personality - not only what would make it an amazing experience for her, but also what to avoid.
- They summarized the preparation tasks needed, sequence of events, and who was accountable for what and by when. This was managed like a project plan. As a customer, I felt this was very personalized and much appreciated, especially since I need reminders when I have to do stuff!
- They kept me informed along the way either with progress made or reminders for me
- They had learned enough about me to be able to make certain decisions themselves (garland, design, etc) and when to escalate to me to get my preferences (what was in the goody bags, etc). They would not have known this had they not first taken the time to learn about me.

I felt I had to write this review because the professionalism and efficiency of the process in the lead-up to the event blew me away. I definitely recommend this place for anyone planning a party and wants a guarantee that the kids will have a good time. With this kind of incredible preparation ahead of time, the actual event was completely stress-free.

Pros:

- Floorplan: The space is laid out in a way where the play area is wide open for kids to run around but also where they don't feel like adults are just staring at them. It is the best example of "free play" that I've seen as a parent.

- Good for a wide age range. In my case, I had a 5yo and her classmates, but I also have a soon-to-be 9yo daughter. I was concerned that my 9yo might think the event was "childish" because there were so many 5yos running around, but she told me it was very fun. I asked her separately whether this was the kind of place she and her other 8/9yo friends would normally like to play and she enthusiastically said "YES!"

- Video displays. In my case, I arranged a video package and Mac&Z has a large-screen TV with a full motion mount so it could be oriented towards the play area or the cafe. My daughter's classmates loved seeing their friend on a video reel as soon as we turned it on.

- Engaged, but not too-engaged, staff. Staff was present to help with the event of course, but they were "behind-the-scenes" and not interrupting play time. The kids never really noticed that they were there and could just focus on each other the entire time.

- Hygiene. The impeccable cleanliness of Mac&Z has been noted in other reviews. In my case, this gave me confidence to inform parents that their kids could come to the event with less concern about COVID or other health issues. That would not have been the case had I booked a more public place like a Chuck E Cheese.

- Open layout of the party room. Separate to the play area and the cafe, there is a private party room. Some reviews here have already posted photos of their wonderful experiences. In my case, I took notice that most of the room had huge tinted windows. This not only allowed for great photos, but it gave the room a sense of openness.

- Professionalism. As described, I really wanted to write a review because this entire process was so well-managed.

Cons:

- Absolutely none. I got what I paid for, and my daughter will remember this for the rest of her life.

New, clean, fun, safe place for my four year old to play with friends. The play area kept their attention for 2hrs while I enjoyed yummy coffee and a place to hang out. We’ve been twice and we will be back soon!

Super fun place! Staff is extra nice and helpful. Love the classes they offer in addition to the play area. The food and drinks are awesome. They even have boba tea! My kids each it all very much!
