I came into this store with a lot of questions regarding the guitar and what I exactly wanted. The store manager, Vance, was very helpful, welcoming, and understanding to me and all of the concerns I had. When asking questions, Vance patiently guided me through the entire process of finding a personalized and ideal guitar for me, while also looking out for the best interests of me and my financial situation. My family’s been visiting this store for a couple of years and always come back with nice things to say. That being said, this location deserves a 5 star review for its amazing customer service, staff, and facility!

showed up the day of a gig desperately needing a trumpet lyre and music holder - an assistant at guitar center looked completely bewildered when i asked where their trumpet lyres were and referred me to music and arts. matteo was incredibly helpful and made sure i was getting the correct type of lyre to fit a yamaha trumpet. i was impressed. will definitely be giving this establishment my return business. excellent customer service. highly recommend.

Encouraging instructors and all the things a new musician might need to get setup to learn at good prices. I have two children taking lessons here and both are progressing nicely.

Overall, they have the best practices in Austin. Their inventory is vast and their rent to own program makes getting an instrument so obtainable.

Renting an instrument? This is the place to go! Super easy, quick and they didn't require a huge deposit. Was quoted $410 to walk out the door with my childs instrument at a different place but came here instead and left paying less than $20 with instrument in hand. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the young girl w/ glasses and young dude ( I'm bad with names) for making everything fast and easy.

Great store, open late, very helpful, knowledgeable staff. I called at 7pm on a Thursday night asking about a last minute marching band supply for my son, and Vance took the time to check their inventory, and also suggested I check the model number of his trombone before leaving my house (to be sure I purchased the right size lyre). Super easy experience, I will be going through this store for all future band purchases. Thank you!

We are always so happy with Music & Arts Sunset Valley. Vance and staff are amazing, they have helped us with everything we need, and recently went truly above and beyond finding the perfect piano for our son!! Finally a music store that is genuinely all about the customer! I had so many unnecessary annoyances dealing with guitar center just to have a product shipped to my house. Upon coming into the store, the staff was unbelievably friendly and gave me a HUGE discount on a very expensive digital piano, with FREE shipping. This store is leaps and bounds above guitar center pricing and customer service. I will be giving them all my business from now on and highly recommend you do the same before making a purchase. Lance was so helpful. My daughter is entering 6th grade and he was able to set her up with everything she is required to have for her first day of band! Great experience and I didn't feel like I was just another mom coming in for her kid like I did at the bigger store up the road.

I was referred to Music & Arts to purchase a new trumpet for my daughter. I'm glad I was. Jamey, Vance and Lance were amazing. So helpful and not pushy. Seemed more interested in making sure my daughter got the right horn and not just making a sale. It was worth the extra drive (from Belton). Thanks guys!!

The manager is always super friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of synthetic reeds and a helpful chart that compares the synthetic reed sizes to brands/sizes of wooden reeds.

We went in to just get info on keyboards for our daughter we previously did research and looked on garage sale sites etc.(not happy with info we found) we figured we would just go to a store and talk to someone and look at them. We planned to go to a bigger music store originally but we found ourselves next door to this Music & Arts store so we walked in.
The staff explained everything and showed us how to use the keyboard.
The price was so great and service was amazing we bought it that day.

I visited this store first time in Feb, 2019. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable also takes time to explain your questions. I ordered my very first clarinet to pick up from the store and store manager Lance notify me as soon as my order was ready to pick up. I definitely recommend this location.

The service at Music & Arts has been impeccable! Lance goes above & beyond to help his customers with everything from small accessories, to upgrading instruments, and everything in between. This store is definitely built on relationships and we will continue to return for all of our music needs.

Such an amazing store and staff. This was the only place that actually helped me when I called looking for a Bass Clarinet. They didn't have any in store but Lance did research over the weekend and found one at another store and had it shipped to the store here in Austin at no cost to me for me to have a look at, and even offered to let me play it before purchase to make sure I was happy with the sound. Above and beyond service.

Favorite place for my music needs. Have purchased 2 instruments from them with their amazing sales people (shout out to Jeremy/Vance for selling me the recent guitar!). They aren't focused on commission but rather what is best for you and your instruments. Great selections, great people, and great time all the way around.

Awesome service from Chase. Went today to ask about violin lessons for my 7yr old and piano for my 5yr old.. Great service all around.. Especially to be able to rent the instruments and get lessons all in one place... Im sooooo glad i called and got more details about this place instead of going to a place where they only offer lessons... Their service is quick and amazing. My daughter had to be measured to order her size violin. Her violin will be in next week and can start taking lessons.. And the prices for the rentals and lessons are great...

Vance is cool ppls. Very knowledgeable and funny. Many ways to find a hobby that is affordable. Instant connection on music. I will go back.

Once again, Vance and Eric were great helping my son find the right instrument! We returned because of how helpful they have been and will return for any future investment needs.
