Pretty good experience, the cashier was pretty helpful. She did a good explaining membership benefits and walked me through signing up for a rewards card.

This was my first time at this Ace Hardware, I was able to find a blue toilet seat, most places you have to order online . I found some other things. The customer service is always great at Ace Hardware's Stores.

I was just looking for duct tape and as soon as I walked in this older man was so beyond friendly. I’ll always go to this store

Great service. Had just what I needed (wood and galvanized spikes) to repair a 4x4 garden edge.

They've been in business forever for a reason. They have good selection and it's nice not dealing with a chain lumber yard. The staff is knowledgeable and they have free popcorn. Can't go wrong. Dave in plumbing is an excellent resource.

A good place to get that part you just can't find at the big box stores.

They are so polite and helpful and if they don't have what u r looking for they will order it and have it in in a few days. Not to mention there popcorn 🍿 is always fresh 😁

👍Durst. Lumber and hardware has a great helpful staff, excellent product and service. It's like going to a hallmark a hardware store and a lumber yard all in one. It is a neatly organized little gem that is filled with everything you would need to complete a DIY project as well as many gift ideas, and while you shop you are welcome to a free bag of delicious freshly popped popcorn, who could beat that deal? I have been here multiple times and each time mirrors the last. 5 stars.👏👏

Living just a few blocks down the road from Durst for the last year or so has been amazing. It's an awesome place for any tool or part you'll ever need. Plus they're dog-friendly, so my basset-hound mutt was on a first name basis with half the staff!
I'm moving out of Berkley now, and I'll miss having such a great hardware store so close by. I'll be sure to stop in whenever I'm in town!

Fun Fact! All the women who live in the big city actually shop at ACE before going back to their small farm town roots to help a sick family member while also reuniting with their childhood crush.

Be like them, shop at ACE. It won't help your failing marriage or help you meet back up with someone who makes you feel like a kid again, but it's a great place to buy light bulbs.

Just did a quick run in. Found some cool clearance items. They did not have what I was looking for. It was something they no longer carry. The gentleman answered some other questions I had. Very helpful.

Absolutely incredible service they have everything you need at a fair price. They even have pulleys for belts. All the random little knick knacks that you would need with your build-it projects. Every single staff member knows exactly what they have hope you find it. Jerry Durst still working the store and rocket like a boss answering questions. Glad that they were around when we were building Oak Park Social.

You haven’t had good customer service if you have not been to Durst Ace Hardware. Specifically this location. I go into this store all the time and have never had a bad experience. Everyone is also wanting to help you. I have never been in this store without someone actually asking me if I need help finding something. Not only do they help, they know what they are talking about and don’t just guess to get you to go away. They help you until you’re 100% satisfied. Everyone is so friendly, inviting, and makes my day. Nowadays everywhere you go, you cannot find someone to help, or someone that wants to help as well as bad customer service where they act like you’re ruining their day by coming into their store. This place is highly recommended and well worth while. They are fairly Inexpensive compared to most other places and they have literally everything you may need along with a rewards app that gets you 5-10$ off coupons which is very convenient. The only downside I would say is that their hours are a little shorter than most Ace locations that close around 6. This location closes at 4 which I wish wouldn’t close until 6 but they are still awesome! Go check them out!

Awesome place never been into a hardware store that had that much stuff that me as a woman would want to buy very helpful people help you find what you want and also help you find what you doing never liked the store like that before it always felt so manly very friendly and helpful as a woman I like it

I have been to Durst ACE about 15 times. And what does this place have?
Service excellent service! It's a lost art these days. The workers are not silly kids, they are professional and knowledgeable. Every time I have gone there I was not disappointed. I'll be back as much as I need to. And I always enjoy seeing the polar bear in the main entrance.

This is a family owned hardware store. It is always neat and orderly with a surprising amount of stuff in the space. What they are known for is their exceptional service. My visit yesterday was no exception. Tod insisted on going to my car to help retrieve two electric handsaws for which I needed new blades. He patiently demonstrated how to change the blades after helping me choose the blades. He then carried the saws back to my car. A perfect gentleman who made me feel like a princess for 1/2 an hour.

Stocks, many of the items found at the big box stores with the ability to get in and out with what you need. Prices match or better than big box stores. Plus, always available experts to help you make the right purchase the first time. Great parking and location save time in buying supplies.
