Q Street Diner

My stuffed French toast was so tasty and a big enough portion for a second meal later. The coffee was excellent and our server was friendly.

Excellent diner food in South Portland that is cash-only. Home fries were seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. The Guy Smiley was cute and was well prepared. The pancake was perfect, and the over easy eggs were exactly how we wanted them. The toast bread was thick, and fresh. The service was friendly and helpful in deciding our meal. We also had mimosas and coffee - both of which were good. Overall this was the best diner food we have had in a long time.

A minor upcharge for waffle fries and zero charge for all the smiles in the room. Money well spent.

Being new in the area (from Connecticut and before that NYC) we were looking for a good place for breakfast, like the diners we used to go to in CT and NY. Happy to say we just happened to find the "Q" on line and gave it a try. Glad we did, food is really good and portions are generous. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Also, love the old movie and rock star posters on the wall. Just remember to bring cash since they don't take credit cards, however, it's well worth it to make a quick stop at the bank first. It's not exactly like the diners we are used to but it's pretty close and maybe a little better!!

I have been coming here, albeit it not regularly, for many years. The home fries are perfection, they have gluten-free toast and it's just really good authentic diner food. The atmosphere is delightfully unpretentious and service is friendly.

This place never fails. Food and service is 1st rate. Daily specials are always different and they'll make it how you like it. Staff from the kitchen to the tables are always upbeat and personable. Locally owned and operated, this is a must stop.

Great service, great staff. We had an amazing waitress named Sandy. She's so nice and extremely funny. She makes this diner. The food was delicious. Hometown atmosphere in such a busy city is such a great feeling. We had reubon Sandwiches.

I just had a pancake a blueberry muffin and it was pretty good, but only thing I didn't like is that the blue muffin didn't have that many blueberries in it.

We found this place by accident when travelling around New England. Our friends had picked a diner in Portland but the queue was long and it was raining so we drove across the bridge to South Portland and ended up here. How lucky we were. Great atmosphere, lovely food and first rate friendly service. We bought the T-shirt. Highly recommended.

I love the friendly servers and the awesome breakfast. It is a true small town diner in the shadow of Portland. Cash only. You will not leave hungry!

The food was exceptional! The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The waiter brought a couple books over so we could read to our daughter. Food didn't take long to cook and get to us. If we come to Portland in the morning again, I will gladly come back!!

Try and eat there twice a month great place foods good atmospheres great services outstanding. Definitely a place on your bucket list

Very good and inexpensive diner for breakfast and lunch items. Breakfast is served until they close. Cash only. Enter from the side parking lot behind the sign. We hope to come back many times.

Typical diner atmosphere and food choices, and it all tasted very good. Our server was distracted trying to cover too much area at one time, but I doubt that's common. I'd go here again, for sure.

Delicious, traditional diner food. Solid service and reasonable prices. I ordered the bacon jalapeño Benedict and was delighted. Can’t go wrong for breakfast here.

Casual, home-cooked goodness! So enjoyed our family outings when visiting from Hawaii!
