After several meetings with the designer she was unable to provide a concept that was within my very reasonable budget and billed me for $1,200 worth of design hours. I needed design assistance with my living / dining room that included purchasing a dining room table and chairs, drapery, chandelier, wall color selection and lamps. At the final meeting they presented what they considered to be a completed project that was within budget. It lacked cost of wall paper and installation, lamps and drapery, key items for a finished room, and was still over budget. The designer selected items with complete disregard to price and my budget.
