Love the staff! So friendly and helpful. The facilities are great. My favorite place to be is swimming laps in the pool, but I am trying yoga later this week as well. 😀

From the moment you walk in the door, you feel welcomed! The variety of classes has kept me hooked — BodyPump, Cycling, Bootcamp, you name it the Y has it. Physically, the results are showing up, but it's the mental boost that is truly transformative. Stress fades away, replaced by a positive mindset. Thank you to everyone at the Y for bringing me energy, joy and the growth it brings to my life 💪😊

Staff is friendly and there are a good variety of classes to choose from. I always work out here when we visit family.

This is fantastic! They're always clean and repaired. They have a pool, classes, plenty of equipment, track, basketball, saunas, and wonderful staff. They really make you feel welcome.

Parking is simple - the lot is huge.

Their app keeps you up to date on any hour changes like pool closures.

I only wish they had a bigger sauna for the women and a lounge for resting.

Staff and other attendees are very pleasant. I'm having a great experience and getting a good workout!

Omg words can not explain how much I love coming to do classes at this ymca all the teachers are so positive if you are looking to challenge yourself come join some of the group workout classes zumba will make you smile so hard and step class with Jim is awesome the yoga is great also if you have small babies can go to child watch they have 2 awesome people over the classroom and they treat the kids so good great family vibes there

I've been a member of the Y since January, 2015. Since that time I've been impressed with the expertise of instructors, the friendliness of staff and the wonderful connections that the Y has with our community. It's always an enjoyable to be at the Y where staff knows my name and there's friendly people with whom I can have good conversations. In particular, I appreciate the classes that are available for seniors. Thank you, YMCA, for everything.

Always a Joy at the Royal Oak YMCA. The staff is personable like family ...professional...knowledgeable. Their genuine concern for all the members is especially touching to me.
The guess are friendly. I look forward to attending and working out 3 to 5 days a week.Not only does the staff motivate you also the members motivate each other. One if my best decisions I made when I joined over five years ago. My family away from family.

Wow South Oakland YMCA I really enjoyed myself I find myself going often and it is a easily and conveniently in and out safe and I enjoy the senior programs this is been a real eye-opener and actually end up being close to my home so I love it I recommend South Oakland Family YMCA they're all seniors that want to stay active

Great friendly and supportive staff. The events are well organized and lots of fun! The people I have met are very happy, encouraging and always smiling. I love my YMCA experiences.

If you're thinking of signing your child up for the basketball program, do it! The people running the program really made every child feel special. The volunteers were incredible too! My little guy loved it.

Very low cost for all services provided. Friendly and competent staff.
