Johnny is the best! If he doesn’t have what your looking for, ask because most likely he can/will get it!

Incredible service. John goes above and beyond to help his customers. Most recent example: I was looking for a specific Bourbon for a gift, but GS didn’t carry it. John said “wait a minute”. He called a buddy who owns a party store and found he had what I was looking for. I thanked him for the effort, and was going to go pick it up, but he said “oh no, I’ll go get if for you and will have it here in the store for you in 15 minutes”.
That’s service. Highly recommend.

Store was nice & clean & very well stocked. We went there during the dream cruise & they were only allowing a certain amount of people in at a time, which made us feel safe. The owner & his sons were awesome. They were friendly & very helpful. Would definitely recommend this store & will be going back whenever I'm in the neighborhood

The best liquor store in metro Detroit! If it can be gotten, Johnny will get it for you! He is super knowledgeable and a great guy. He has suggestions for every occasion - I just give him a dollar amount and he tells me what is the best value in that price range.

Great selection of whiskey, bourbon and scotch. They have some unique choices. The rest of the liquors leave a bit to be desired. They also have a good selection of beer. As you check out there is a small selection of cigars as well. Most of the workers are knowledgeable about what they sell and make good recommendations.

Johnny is a great guy, loves his customers, and his number one goal is to make you happy. He is super-knowledgeable and accommodating. The selection at the store is phenomenal and Johnny knows his products well.

This is by far one of my favorite liquor stores in the area. Johnny the owner is a great guy. If he doesn't have something in stock he'll try to get it for you and if you're a regular he'll remember you. Some places, you can go there everyday for years and they act like you're a complete stanger. You won't get that here.

Called from across the country to order a special gift for my Grandfathers birthday. John went ABOVE and BEYOND, patiently walking me through the different options and even went as far as sending photos through text.

Sure this is a top notch place for all your boozey needs, but GS Market really hits it's stride with owner/operated Johnny. He is a pillar of his community and all around good guy. Get to know and support this gem. You will not regret it.

The store is clean and it's easy to find things! Another cool thing about Royal Liquor is that they offer samplings and great music.

Love this store! Being on the East Side now, I will play my lottery here instead of most other places. They know about RESPECT! I was going to the BP Gas Station at 8 Mile and Kelly, but not anymore! Their condescending, disrespectful attitudes lost me as a customer permanently! Gas, lottery or anything else!

Found everything I needed to find. plus a great cashier was very helpful when I asked where I could get a Detroit Tigers hat he gave me detections on paper to 2 deferent places. I would go back there again also nice to get a bottle of Hennessy for 34 dollars instead of 80 dollars. Also if the Woodward Ave dream Cruise is going on it's right on the main strip. Enjoy Detroit don't be afraid of it.

Overall this is the best liquor store I have ever been to. They have an enormous selection of local, domestic, and imported liquors and beers. The owner claims he has the largest selection in Oakland county and his inventory backs him up. He has stuff I have never even heard of and some of my hard to get favorites. The clerks are very friendly and have a large knowledge of their inventory. They know what they are selling inside and out. In addition they have my favorite drink imported all the way from Europe, Dansk Vikings Blood. Along with this they also have some local and imported meads (which are hard to find!).

They always have a great selection of Michigan breweries in their inventory. Picked up a couple sours and ciders. Staff is always attentive and courteous.

Best place to go for beer and liquor. I will even go out of my way to come here.

If you need a recommendation, the staff is always willing to help and they've never steered me wrong!

You can walk in and tell john, the owner, what you are looking for and what your budget is and he will give you a great recommendation. I’ve been going in there for 2 years and he’s never steered me wrong. Great guy, great prices.

John runs a very nice store! He and the staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. I always by my liquor needs from here.
