It was my first time here and the server was really friendly and everything including food was great. I ordered the Uptowner Eggs Benedict. The large amount of food that they provide is very generous.

I recommend this place for breakfast lovers. 😋

Awesome little diner that is everything you're looking for in a breakfast joint. Bottomless coffee, quick service, and tasty food. We sat at the counter and were entertained by the amount of hash browns that were cooking and the consistency of delicious food being sent out. I recommend the banana pancakes if you have enough room after eating the hash browns, eggs, and sausage/bacon.

Nice small town feel, great breakfast menu, great food, and friendly staff. And it's groupon able.. so go on get that discount. Enjoy! 😁

This is my favorite breakfast spot in St. Paul right now. In the neighborhood, it's great to take a morning walk in the spring or summer to pop in. They do the standards right, the speed is wonderful and it's an incredible atmosphere for an old school diner spot. I'll be back time and time again.

I ordered the sourdough French toast with strawberries for myself and my toddler. It was a hit with both of us! Someone I was with ordered the Cajun breakfast and raves about that meal constantly. Another in my party ordered the eggs Benedict and enjoyed it. Savory plate portions are large, just what you'd expect of great diner food. The sweet plates weren't overwhelming and I felt I had just the right amount of food. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic! I had the Hacksaw and it was the perfect mix of texture and flavor. Hash brows were just crispy enough and the chili had just a touch of spice. It's really small so there's not too much noise. Highly recommend for a small old cafe vibe.

Been going here for years! Chocolate chip pancakes are amazing + they serve a generous amount of hash-browns. Their Groupon makes their already fair prices that much better. Worth trying if you enjoy wholesome breakfast food for a good price.

Best little spot in town for that real 'small-town diner' feel. Food always comes out piping hot and the hashbrowns are perfectly browned and crispy. There can be a wait during late breakfast/brunch on the weekend so expect a wait if your getting hangover food.

The food we had at The Uptowner was AWESOME - very down to earth diner style - big portions - quick service. But when you talk about the breakfast burrito - it brings this conversation to a new level - the salsa is INCREDIBLE - and still a large portion. The flavors work together SO well - a masterpiece!!

Amazing food! Excellent service, so fun to watch the cooks whip the food out so perfectly and quickly. Well worth the stop for breakfast! We were there on a Saturday morning about 10am, waited maybe 10 min. I had the Cajun breakfast with Andouille sausage. Also couldnt pass up the cinnamon pancake - Wow!

It's really neat hole in the wall diner. The food was really good and the service was great. They got everything out quick and it was all right. My daughter didn't like her grilled cheese, they replaced it with a cheeseburger no questions asked.

Hole in the wall place advertising all day breakfast. Looked like a cool locals type of place. Friendly staff, I took the waitress recommendation of the Cajun breakfast and didn’t regret the choice. At first I thought it was expensive, but between the quality and the size, I’d say it’s worth the price.

Had breakfast here recently as we prefer homey, local cafes. Breakfast was excellent, service top notch and friendly and we very highly recommend. The things they do here with hashbrowns...:)

The food was fresh... the price was right. The portions were massive. I been trying out different breakfast places and by far this one surprised me and was the best I had in a long time...... check it out!!!!

Great greasy spoon-type diner. Coffee and breakfast is everything you want it to be. Most notably they actually make the hashbrowns brown and crispy!
