What a wonderful date night. We did not plan to go to Lexington, but decided on a whim. We found seats at the bar and had one of the best steaks you can find in the twin cities. Their secret sauce is a wood burning fire. The mashed potatoes, oh lord the mashed potatoes… Cocktails were on point. Service excellent. And priced adequately for an excellent steak house.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. I highly recommend the pot pie 🥧 . We enjoyed dinner in the main dining and then had an after dinner drink / dessert in the bar to listen to the Jazz Band 🎺🎷. The service was outstanding!

During my recent visit to The Lexington during restaurant week, I had the pleasure of encountering an exceptional individual who truly elevated my dining, which was Andrew, the standout bartender. His warmth and knowledge enhanced my evening, as he expertly guided me through the cocktail menu with personalized recommendations. Andrew's passion for mixology and hospitality shone through, making my experience amazing. I highly recommend The Lexington where Andrew's exceptional service sets the standard for excellence.

Andrew's warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for an unforgettable evening. His genuine smile and attentive nature immediately made me feel like a valued guest, as he took careful consideration and interest into creating personalized experiences for all his guests.

Thank you, Andrew, for making my evening truly exeptional. I eagerly look forward to our next encounter. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience paired with impeccable service, look no further than The Lexington. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Oh and the steak was delicious!

The Lexington is an institution. This was our first time dining here and it was amazing. The food. The service. The atmosphere. All top notch. Probably my favorite of all the steakhouses in the Twin Cities. I’m going to ruffle some feathers but the food here is every bit as good as Burns Steakhouse in Tampa, Florida.
You owe it to yourself to make reservations here and have the meal of a lifetime.

Had a fantastic experience dining at The Lexington this past weekend! The restaurant itself is gorgeous, and so was the food! Our server made wonderful recommendations, 2 of which we took her up on, and we weren't disappointed. Please make time for a full course meal, including drinks, as this delight should not be rushed.
The only minor thing that could be critiqued, but hard to avoid, is that we were seated right next to the window looking into the kitchen where they cook certain meals over a hardwood fire. We left smelling of smoke! Just a lingering reminder of our magical dinner at The Lexington!

First timers. We sat at the bar, Andrew was the bartender and the service was impeccable. The food was awesome, best oysters and steak tartare we’ve had in a long time. We will be back again soon.
Best French 75 I’ve ever had.

We had a wonderful dinner, the music and ambiance was we nice but a touch loud to talk over. We would highly recommend the lobster, cauliflower cheese dip for an appetizer! The porterhouse was absolutely delicious with a side of seared scallops! There was something so amazing about the baked potato I think it might have been the creaminess of the butter or sour cream.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Lexington and it was an absolutely amazing experience! All of the staff that I spoke to were so kind, attentive, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy their job. Our waiter gave us top tier recommendations and had extensive knowledge of the menu. We visited on a Saturday so they also had live jazz music playing. This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had so thank you to everyone! I look forward to coming back.

A M A Z I N G!!! I had the Sea Scallop platter and I am still thinking about it. The waiter was very pleasant and had a lot of knowledge on the Menu and the Lexington itself, the history. Then the appetizer… cauliflower lobster in cheese, and it was amazing. Everything was good! Old Fashion #9 was great.

The Lexington is such a classy establishment. They had such a wonderful Mother's Day menu. The Onion Rings, Wedge Salad, Meatloaf Wellington, and Mushroom Stroganoff were all delicious. Our server was attentive, kind, and very professional. They were quite busy (being Mother's Day), and he was exceptional. Definitely fine dining at its best.

Philip and the rest of the staff were excellent, every bit as delightful as the delicious fare!

First time dining there and Shane scored us a corner table in the Wellington Room no less after calling as we drove by... what a treat!

Had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. Food was perfect! Had the steak tips as an appetizer, Cesar salad, and lobster spaghetti! Ordered a side of the wood grilled asparagus and it was so flavorful and delicious! Dessert was a Bailey’s Irish Cream Brûlée! Service was excellent, ambiance was fantastic, drinks were delicious. I’d rate this meal one of the best meals I’ve had ever! Highly recommend!

We went here for our anniversary, so if you're looking to celebrate something special and enjoy a wonderful night out, this is the place to go. The atmosphere was amazing, service was beyond spectacular, I'll let the pictures talk for the food because it was so delicious! They even take your picture and bring you a card to commemorate the night! My only suggestion is to get there ahead to allow time to find parking. There's a small lot behind the restaurant that's free, otherwise, there is a lot across the street (from the back) for $5/$7 depending on the time you go there, and of course street parking. Enjoy!

Lovely place to enjoy nice food, listen to live music (we went on a Saturday) with great service.

Food: We went as a couple. We both ordered different salads ( the iceberg and him the Caesar) both were excellent! Then we ordered the walleye cakes for an appetizer- which was a refreshing and well paired combination with cucumber. For dinner he ordered the Lobster sandwich (which was an open face, slightly warm lobster with a delicate avocado spread on Texas toast) and I ordered the Salmon which was crusted with crab paired with bernaise sauce and asparagus. Both were delectable, although the salmon could have a little more flavor. We each ordered reds for wine which were full bodied and full of flavor. The bread served was delicious as well. For dessert we did the crème brûlée was was enjoyable to the palate, overall the food was 4/4.5 out of 5.

Atmosphere: we sat in the Williamsburg room a table away from the live jazz pianist which was wonderful and exactly what we wanted. You only have to pay an extra $5 per person in that room but I do recommend if you enjoy music and are there on a weekend. The building was clean and is kept up to my higher standards of cleanliness. 5/5

Service: friendly, knowledgeable and professional service that was also quicker than we expected. Our drinks were always filled, cutlery restocked and attention was key. Also appreciate the white glove service attire. 5/5 for service.

Parking: several options. You can park valet for a fee, back lot for a fee or find street parking or in the “st. Paul eye clinic” lot if you’re there after 5pm daily. 4.5/5

Overall we enjoyed our experience. We would recommend if you enjoy fine dining in a more causal dressed place. Some folks wore button up’s and a causal dress whereas others were more semi-causal. But most folks put some effort in looking well groomed as you would assume in a place like such. My overall rating is 4.5!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was incredible - from the historic atmosphere, attentive service, delicious food - to the professional photographer that stopped by our table to capture our picture to send home with us. I framed the picture when I got home and smile when I look at it. Very memorable experience!

This is a first rate establishment! Staff are excellent. Could not ask for a better server. He was attentive but not pesky. The food was superb. We had Fillet (add Diane). Atmosphere was wonderful. This restaurant is a Jewel in St Paul. Will definitely be back!

The unctuous delights of The Lex can't be ignored. Everything from the service to the birthday card was on point and welcoming and utterly delicious. I highly recommend it - especially those magical mashed potatoes. SO GOOD!
