Lowell Inn - Hotel & Restaurant

We just had our wedding there. Amy, Lauren, and Kevin were awesome! Answered all our questions. Even the ones we didn't ask. All the bartenders and wait staff did great! We couldn't be more pleased with our experience! Thank you so much!

This is our third time staying at the beautiful Lowell Inn. It is always a treat to have such friendly and helpful staff to greet you, and everyone we met is very kind and respectful. The owner is so humble and gracious... What a treat to visit with her !

Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable! Linens and pillows were perfect, and everything was super clean, as always. Water pressure was very good in the shower.

It was indeed a restful, elegant stay enhanced by a quiet evening in front of the fireplace in the lobby. We saw no other guests at that time.

Another wonderful amenity is the free parking on the same floor that your room is on, and wonderful shopping, restaurants, and fun adventures within an easy walk.

We went to the Lowell Inn for a double date for their special order fondue. The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing! The fondue is a special menu that you need to request 24+ hours in advance. It's a four course fixed menu, but they have two add-ons if you desire. I would say it was delicious, but I think the main course could have had more meat for two people. The photos show a shared portion.

We went for brunch and I had a quiche Lorraine. I general don't like quiche because I find them dry. Theirs were not dry and I loved it. They have really great food. I did not stay at the hotel.

Was here for a long weekend. Really enjoyed the quaint rooms. Nothing over the top but cute and comfortable. Breakfast and staff were wonderful! Very convenient location! Free parking in ramp next door. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful elegant and romantic place to stay! Front desk staff were amazing and made our trip extra special by upgrading to king size bed and just very helpful and informative in general. Thank you for this place and the stay =)

I wanted to go to a lovely Thanksgiving away from my family. Hard to accept but has to be done. Two days in advance Tim answered the phone and said he would have a table ready for me, even though I didn't want to reserve with my visa. What was amazing is I called the Lowell Inn on Thanksgiving morning, just ba general mailbox to see if I could still come out to dinner and if there was room. They called me back and invited me to come out. Tim greeted me at the door, with a warm professional smile, and he and Paula escorted me to a beautiful coffee table with a linen table cloth and brought me a hot coffee ☕ and cream. And water. They were in between services. They smiled at me, while I watched them replacing linen tablecloths. I realized they had seated me early as others were waiting in the foyer. I never paid for that cup of coffee. After every one was seated for dinner, Paula and Tim came over and asked me to step up to the buffet as it was all prepared early. I felt like I was their friend and family. It was absolutely sweet. The turkey was hot and the broccoli salads and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. I think they would have given me the entire Thanksgiving dinner for free, but I offered to pay. The other people in the room, were so lovely and the two people sitting next to me reached out to me to chat during dinner. Finally, a nice server, Kim came over to talk put her arm around my shoulder and said Happy Thanksgiving and we shared some stories. I am grateful for you Lowell Inn. Thankful as well.

Historically restored, quaint, days of yesteryear styled hotel with amenities of today! Beautiful hotel. Great place to stay while in the Stillwater, MN area! In walking distance to local eateries, pubs, and downtown businesses!

I absolutely love the charm of this historic hotel. Most of the historic rooms are smaller than an average hotel room, but they are an experience unlike the typical hotel stay. Most importantly, the beds and pillows are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Every historic room is different which makes for a unique visit every time. The "new" annex rooms seem nice, but we haven't stayed in one. One downside I noticed this time is the shades are not blackout, being they are old school roll-up style, so if you need dark and plan to sleep in, the historic rooms may not be a good fit. Not sure about their "regular" annex rooms.
The food served at the restaurant is fabulous! I have had the eggs Benedict several times which is wonderful.
Parking is plentiful if you arrive early enough, but can be slimmer pickings in the lot if you arrive at checkin time since the lot is shared with the city, and tourists are bustling by then. I believe you get free parking when you arrive before checkin, so it's not a bad idea if arriving on a weekend. The staff have always been friendly as well.

My Girlfriend and I spent the weekend for the first time in Stillwater and had a wonderful time!! The Inn was so Beautiful and just takes a person back in time!! Lisa checked us in and a Guy directed us where to park in the lot and it was perfect with our room just inside a couple of doors on the 2nd floor! So friendly and Great service from them! We ate breakfast on Sunday before leaving and the food was incredibly Delicious!! Compliments to the Chef! Our server was Teri who was So Nice and gave us fantastic service!! Loved the location downtown, so easy access anywhere we wanted to go!! We Will be back again!! Thank you to All! 👍🤗❤

Lovely hotel just a few blocks from the river front. The room we stayed in was good. Large shower and overall large bathroom. Step up, but I know there are other rooms that are accessible. Staff was very friendly, and we
Could park in the garage next door.

I recently visited the Lowell Inn in Stillwater and was blown away by its charm and character. From the ample parking to the historic rooms, this place has it all. The restaurant is also a must-visit, with a ton of activities to keep you entertained while you dine. The Event Center is fantastic for hosting any kind of gathering, and the staff is always super friendly and accommodating.

During my check-in, I had a delightful encounter with a staff member who made me feel right at home. They were attentive, helpful, and really went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one.

One thing that struck me was the number of grandparents bringing their grandchildren to Sunday tea times here. It's clear that this place has a special place in the hearts of the local community, and it's not hard to see why. Perfect location for a short trip to Stillwater. Pretty historic building very close to the downtown and attractions like the trolley and riverboats. The afternoon tea service comes in 4 courses at the best price I've found tea service in the Twin Cities, hosted in a really lovely setting of the George Washington Room. The scones are delicious and moist. Great service!

We had our wedding at the Lowell Inn and it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff was helpful, the food was great and the rooms were clean. We had rooms in both the historic and new portion of the hotel and both were great!

We visited for Afternoon Tea and has such a fun time! Each of the 4 courses were wonderful :)

We had our wedding ceremony rehearsal and dinner at Lowell Inn in their Matterhorn room, and it was wonderful! The food was delicious and the space was perfect. It was also very affordable and ended up coming in under budget! My husband also did brunch here with his groomsmen the morning of the wedding, and they said that was amazing as well!

My wife and I went here for dinner. We made the reservations 24 hours in advance so we could do the fondue dinner. We both had never had fondue before. We loved our experience. Our server,Kevin, was super nice and was willing to give us advice on ways to do it. He was also the right amount of attentive. He was the only one working the room that we were in and it really seemed liked He cared that everyone was having a good meal. The dining room was beautiful too. All the wood carvings and details were amazing to look at.

Was there for afternoon tea. Had choice of several kinds of tea, food was good, ambience was fun and service was excellent.
