I am absolutely obsessed with this store. They have amazing, all natural products at fair prices. I have yet to come across a product I didn't love. Their magnesium balm and spray are probably my favorite products. I use them almost every night, and I sleep like a baby. I really love their lotions, too. They have a large variety of scents as well as unscented and child friendly. I have very sensitive skin, so most main stream lotions make me itch or break out with rashes. I've never had that issue with the lotions here. This is also a great place to find gifts--I've bought so many things for friends and family, and everyone has loved the products as much as I do.

Great shop & hidden gem! Love their soaps & shower bombs. The ladies that work there are so warm and welcoming. They even gave my son a free bath bomb just because. Will definitely be back in the future!

Found this treasure the other day ~Modern Roots in Stillwater. A must stop! Gifts, makeup, spa products, soaps (including laundry soap.) Just walking in smells like a spa. Non toxic, locally made. Another small business on my list of highly recommended. Managers understand gluten free, celiac & environmental toxins. Very knowledgeable. Even recommended a place to eat that is celiac friendly.

My fave place to get soap! They are all natural and smell and look amazing. So pretty. Also love the Almond milk and honey lotion! Smells so good.

I just found my new favorite go-to beauty and health line!! The bath bombs are awesome and really elevate my bath time. The lip tinted balm is so moisturizing and the color stays looong after many sips and eating. I’m very impressed with how high quality the products are and they actually work!! The prices are very competitive too and are much more affordable than some “high-end” lines where the results are middle of the road. Do hesitate on trying! So glad to have found this local gem :)

Love modern roots!!! I have used multiple products for a while now and have loved them all. The magnesium lotion is my favorite- it works so well and seems to be calming. I recently purchased their hyraulic acid serum and love it so far. I also have tried Rudolph's mask also and love it as well. I feel so lucky to live so close to this gem ❤

Love this shop! Lots of homemade soaps, lotions, scrubs, etc. Natural-smelling products, not that horrible fake Bath and Body Works headache. Staff is very friendly, too. I've bought a lot of gifts for people here (who doesn't love coffee scented massage bars or lemon soap??) and I'm using their zero-waste shampoo bar right now, it's great!

Very convenient location too, right down on Main Street and very close to a lot of parking.

If you love soap, you will love this place! So many different kinds of beautiful soaps, all handmade with natural ingredients by the owner on her farm! None of the soaps are particularly strong smelling, which just signals that everything is super natural and good for your skin. I haven't tried any of the other products, like shampoo or toothpaste, but it looks very intriguing. The staff there is always very sweet and attentive, and will answer any of your questions about the soap. A very rewarding opportunity to support a local artisan!

This is a go-to for us whenever we crave some good bath bombs, and we are bath bomb connoisseurs and enthusiasts. The scents are amazing and they leave you feeling silky smooth. The natural ingredients are kind to your hair, leaving its natural oils alone unlike other bath bombs that can sometimes damage hair because of the chemicals. Most bath bombs focus more on scent, but these are focused on making you feel just as good as you smell. The scents can last for days at a time. They are also affordable for 6$ a pop, unlike other bath bombs I saw for 12$ a piece that barely had a scent. I'm sure their other products are just as good as the bombs, and they have a huge, huge selection of soap bars. And there are very friendly staff there to help you.

I bought a few small lotions from here as well as an amazing chapstick (a combo of cinnamon and peppermint = perfect match) and several of the soaps. I thought the prices were fair for the high quality and a steal for the soaps. Tons of interesting scent combinations, my nose was put to good use as I made my way around the tables of soaps.
It's a cute store with quality products and I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

Great little shop to get soap, oils, deodorant and lotions. High quality - I buy items here all the time to use as gifts. They are unique and fun! The almond lotion is divine and the chapsticks are great too.

Had a lovely visit on small business Saturday. Gretchen was a delight and really added a lovely vibe to the store. We ended up buying an assortment. Particularly pleased with the solid conditioner. Will be coming back soon!

Unintentionally, and I advise against it, I reached the store just at closing. The lady (proprietor?) let me in to browse despite the time. I was pleasantly surprised how welcoming she was. It was my first visit and memorable. I am always looking for gentle, natural soap products and this place had an extensive selection. After I picked a couple bars, she rang me up and offered a sampler of hand sanitizer as I left. She could not have been more gracious and accommodating, and I left with a smile.

i love coming here! all of the employees have always been very friendly and pleasant to talk to. the soaps are fantastic and i love their salt bars. i’ve tried soo many of their products from the handmade soap to the lotion to the natural deodorant and so far nothing has disappointed me. every time i go to stillwater i come here just to look around.
