Running Aces Casino, Hotel & Racetrack

First time here, it was a good time. Nice/clean atmosphere and great/friendly staff.

Wonderful hotel and a stellar value. My wife and I needed a hotel near Hugo Minnesota for 5 nights. After looking at the places just off 35E south of Hugo and being disappointed with the crazy high prices we decided to go a bit north and check out Running Aces. Wow. Spotlessly clean place. Great amenities. Friendly staff. Decent hot breakfast. All for at least 25% less than the other options. I can't stress enough how nice the room was. The furnishings were clean and useable. The bathroom was large with a shower that had good water pressure - rarer than one would think. Highly recommend.

Cool place to play blackjack poker pai gow... racetrack is open only May through September but you can bet on races from other racetracks there. Food is ok but affordable. Didnt stay here but I will try it next time I'm in Minnesota, room rates are comparable to other hotels in Saint paul

Running Aces is a top notch casino, hotel, and racetrack just outside of Minneapolis with plenty of parking and friendly staff.

Recently Lumenarius had the opportunity to install a permanent projection mapping system on the roof near the entrance and it was excellent to help light up the already gorgeous architecture.

It was great to get to know the area and we look forward to seeing the place in the summer months.

Stayed here for several nights. It was a great experience. The rooms are well appointed with nice sectional sofas, big TVs, comfortable beds, and great lighting. The team provided excellent service.

The amenities are nice. A standard gym and a big hot tub/pool with lots of space to lounge. Half of the hotel faces the horse tracks. You can wake up to see the horses being walked around the course and catch races during certain times of the year.

Breakfast could be better. The team members who take care of breakfast do a great job with what they have but there could be more of a selection. Still 5 stars overall! Highly recommend!

Fun time. No slots. Table games only and dealer assisted electronic table games, those were fun as well. Something I've never done. Customer service at the players desk was amazing, Lacey Lynn registered us for players rewards and she was fabulous, knowledgeable and friendly and I hope your bosses realize what an amazing bright helpful person you are!

Booked it online and got a great price for the weekend. Very spacious room up on the 4th floor with king size bed, walk-in shower and great view of the racetrack. New hotel and rooms were clean and soundproof. Continental breakfast was fair and we were unaware that was part of the reservation when we booked our room. The pool, hot tub and exercise room were available for our use but we only used the hot tub. Casino adjoins the hotel and racetrack. All satisfactory. Clean rooms and pleasant staff.

Nice hotel and casino. The horse racing was fun. Be aware, though, no slot machines!

I come for the races every race night. The bartenders and servers are above and beyond the best in the business! The feature nights benefit everything from kids, homeless to heroes! Family fun nights are the best, face painting, fishing and just fun for the kiddos.

I highly recommend this for a really great date night or Family night.

This casino is not as far as Canterbury is. This one is on the south side of Forest Lake. I played in their $90Splash Pot no-limit hold 'em tournament. The dealers know what they are doing. I say that even though I didn't do well, mainly due to getting dealt poor cards.
Still, a fun experience and I will go back the next time I'm in Town.

I was going for a casino with slots. However ended up here.

First and foremost. AMAZING food!!! And really well priced. Mine was only 11$ and came in delicious quantity! A big shout out to my friendly waitress who let my cook know I loved his food

Next I want you to know. Jacob, John, Moua (I’m so sorry for misspelling your name) and the nice lady who had a Rainbow Sparkle gator mask on. (Blanking on name.) we’re extremely funny, respectful, and helpful for blackjack. After telling them I was deaf in one ear. They all raised their voices to accommodate my needs.

They were all super funny and you Truly got the feeling they enjoyed each other’s company. The way they interacted with each other in good humour in passing.

So I will definitely be coming back!

Plenty of parking, staff friendly, fellow customers all seemed to be having fun. The five adults and two children in my group all had a great time, ate at one of the food trucks, placed a couple $2 bets, watched the races and some of the card games. We will be going back to maybe fish in the stocked tank and perhaps go to the casino across the road. There is hotel near and adult beverages at running aces, plus a restaurant. Dress is casual but I did see a few with Kentucky derby style attire including the hats.

Had an amazing stay on their soft opening week. Staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. The style of the hotel was incredibly sleek, modern, and vibrant. Would come back again! Had dinner and breakfast. Great food and drinks!

Nice place complete with pool, restaurant. Casino for cards and OTB. Full bar and laugh your ace off comedy shows. Had a great time.

Haven't been back there like I should have been. I enjoy the atmosphere and pretty much all around the staff are cool. There's not a lot of places that I feel accepted and where they were willing to give my service dog another chance.

What a fun night! You can get right up next to the track, and might even get a chance to congratulate a winner as they return from the winners circle. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Easy to place bets and friendly staff.

I love running aces! I will say to people going to please tip the dealers. That’s how they make their money.

I lost at texas hold em tournament but they run a good game!! Place is nice

Love the poker room at Running Aces. Play mostly tournaments and the players are fun. The staff are always friendly and you can't ask for more than that.

Just purchased a 70" LG Nano Cell. You know what the means. I'll be taking that TV home. It's a Murphy's Law thing.

Only saw the races, but an awesome experience that anyone can enjoy. Walk in, get a program for $1, and hang out near the track. Family friendly. Loved it!
