O'Brien's Wine & Spirits

Walked up to this store from a hotel stay, and absolutely had the best time talking with Matt. He gave me a phenomenal education on the bourbons I sampled. I’ve never had such a great and informative experience. In fact, I returned the next day just for fun and got a kick out of his mandatory taste testing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a shop with great selection of spirits, and a modern kind of “Cheers” vibe where you’ll be remembered and welcomed every time.

The gentleman with the long hair who was running the shop today was one of the most knowledgeable individuals that I’ve met in the industry. He knows a lot about each of the individual products, ones that are similar or rival in your favorites as well as a goal to support local business. This is one of the coolest shops that I’ve been to. I would highly advise it. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I’ll come back and do my best to join your beer club.

If you want to support a small business, this is an amazing one! You will feel like family when you walk in. The owner, Dave, is a gem. Matthew, the manager, is incredibly helpful and always has a smile on his face. Check out the free tastings every Friday and Saturday. O'Brien's is a must stop anytime in Stillwater.

I usually go to the liquor store in my hometown but the tastings Matt offers have brought me in Friday and Saturday nights. They offer a beer and wine club as well. When you go in, you will be met with top-notch customer service and treated as if you’re family. Thanks for all the banter Dave and Matt!

I went to get a couple of cigars for a gift. The gentleman working was very helpful and super nice. He pointed out the candles they were selling for a fund raiser and the cause it supported. Mark it sold. Please support the local businesses.

This store has the best varieties around. Carries locally made beers, ales and such. Run by a friendly, knowledgeable staff. They even offer tastings every week.

Just left this store and had such great service that I had to write about it! The owner Brian was working and was extremely helpful in picking out a bottle of wine for a gift. I like to buy local and help out those hidden gems! I spent more time than I anticipated, but got great customer service. I will be back! Keep up the great service Brian!

I’ve never had a more pleasant experience at a liquor store. Loved the vibe and selection, and Matt’s recommendations were excellent. Wish this place existed where I live!

Great place and I stand by this store 100% giving people the choice to choose freely mask or not! 🤙🏼 for anyone upset about an employee wearing a mask... how dumb... you are doing way more damage to yourself by drinking alcohol than being around someone without a mask on let’s get real. If you want to make a difference for yourself and those around you then maybe hang up the booze

This is a local owned family business that caters to the residents of Stillwater and also the boat traffic and visitors to downtown Stillwater. I'm so glad that the new owners took it on and kept this gem in downtown Stillwater.

Best place to get beer and liquor in minnesota or wisconsin. Friendly staff and great customer service. The owner is a great guy and has turned the place around! Highly recommended
