He was always professional, fair, and friendly and I looked forward to our transactions. I would like to commend his wife, Paweena, for carrying on the business exactly as he ran it. I needed to sell alot of estate jewelry and Paweena spent an inordinate amount of time sorting and testing my items and offering me a very fair price. Highly recommend! Allan would be pleased. Really fair pricing, really beats a lot of other places around, especially pawn shops when comparing what you buy. Went earlier this week, already have plans to go again.

I pawned my guitar and amplifier here and they only charge me $45 a month to renew it. Other places are dealt with or more expensive. The best thing is if you're late on a payment your next payment is due from that day where other places will charge you double if you're late. It was a great experience and the owner is very friendly and would go back there again.

I pick up coins for my father-in-law at Port City Coin & Jewelry from time to time. They have a great selection and the owner Allan is nice to do business with. It's conveniently located in Bowl-O-Rama plaza on Route 1 in Portsmouth. If you want to get into stacking coins, this is the place to go on the seacoast.

I've been buying silver bullion from Port City Coin for close to two years now. The selection and service can't be beat! The prices are definitely the lowest around and Al and his staff are both knowledgeable and friendly. Some of my finest gold numismatics have been purchased there as well and the information he's provided to me as a beginner has been invaluable. The selection of coins, silver/gold bullion, numismatics, and accessories makes it a great place to shop whether your a novice or long time collector.
The "coin table" really makes his shop children friendly and my young boys have already started their own collections. If you have young ones you'd like to introduce to coin collecting, bring them there.
I'll be branching out into diamonds soon and know Al will patiently answer every question I can come up with.

The shop itself is nice and clean and boasts a great variety of inventory, from coins to bullion to pre owned jewelry. His prices are fair and he treats the public well. Portcity is the best place in New England for coins and bullion. The owner Allan is the most knowledgeable coin dealer I have met & there prices are excellent. They also pay the highest prices around for old jewelry and scrap precious medals. Highly recommended.
