What an amazing shop! I’ve been seeing Jake here for over 4 years and his attention to detail, great conversation and overall vibe is simply the best. I have some unique hair to cut (tight curly hair) and he kills it every time giving me a cleaned up look with good shape. Nate, the owner, is amazing at his craft too and a great guy if you choose to get your haircut with him. Overall, all the barbers are so professional and you can’t go wrong with this shop. The decor is awesome too. Simply the best around!

The staff were not only skilled professionals but also incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my visit. My barber, Nate, was truly exceptional. His attention to detail and precision in crafting the perfect haircut and beard trim and style exceeded my expectations. The end result was nothing short of fantastic. I left feeling rejuvenated and confident, knowing I had found my new go-to barber. Scuttlebutt is the best place! Isaac has been cutting my hair for a couple months now and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him! I like to go every couple of weeks. His cuts are meticulous. Before I started going to Scuttlebutt, after a couple weeks, I'd always be ready for a fresh fade and felt like my hair looked awful. But whatever Isaac is doing works, because the way my hair grows out now, it's still looking fantastic 2-3 weeks. He's incredibly friendly. I just continue going every couple of weeks, because it's so relaxing and I love going. Really great spot, I'd recommend trying it and think Isaac is just the best!

Scuttlebutt Portsmouth is The only place I go over my haircut now. I also always go for Jack. He is the best. He takes care of me does a great job with my hair while giving good conversation. Price is good and they have drinks if you are enjoying the hang. It is the only place I will go to cut my hair.

Amazing experience here for my son’s first haircut! Nate was exceptional - took his time and worked around a wiggling toddler. Super skilled and knows what he’s doing. The shop itself is also classy and full of small details that make for a really nice experience. Highly recommend!

Matty is the man. I had been going to a shop in Dover for years, cheap and very basic. But have been wanting to step up my game for a while and became hopeless after trying different cuts

Matty hooked it up. I felt comfortable telling him what I wanted and showing references. He asked questions. I notice small things like how he will have your back to the mirror so he can use the mirror and light to line things up. Each move was measured and thought out. Every aspect of the cut was to 10s. Rebecca has been cutting my hair for at least six years. She does a professional job, always checking in with me before beginning to see what I would like. She does a great job. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going here for over 5 years now. I wouldn’t trust anyone else other than Rebecca to cut and style my hair. Every haircut has been great, and I still cannot thank her enough for the cut she gave me just before my wedding. My wife and I look at our photos from that day and she always points out how great of a hair day I had. I always attribute that to Rebecca! They have complimentary drinks, good music, big tv’s with sports on. Everyone is friendly, good vibes all around! Make sure you book ahead of time, because Rebecca’s very popular there and her schedule fills quick. Seriously, best barbershop on the seacoast without a doubt!
