Griffin Ace Hardware - Carmel Valley

I have always found everything I need when I visit and they are also great at making keys. All of the people who work here are amazing people and I really appreciate them keeping a hardware store open in our neighborhood.

This store has a little of EVERYTHING and is well staffed with helpful folks. I could have ordered what I needed from the dominant big box DIY store and waited 4 to 7 days. Griffen ACE Hardware had it on the shelf at the same price. They have packed out the space with an incredible range of products, just like the hardware stores of yesteryear. I was greeted when I entered and offered help finding what I needed by three different employees throughout the store. Note: there is a second floor.
This is a grown person's candy store.

Probably one of the most well stocked ace stores I've ever been into. I was pleasantly surprised.

Warning.... this is a snooty area and the customers I saw weren't very nice. Their lack of kindness is hard on the staff.

Help the staff out and be kind to them. Your smile and cheer can help out a staff member that may otherwise be beat up emotionally.

This review is overdue. I’ve been coming here on and off for quite some time. The staff is always pleasantly helpful and always greets me with the welcome at the door. I want to specifically point out Andrew whom is always very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He is a man of all trades. From tiny tools to a grill he has attended me with the upmost respect. I really appreciate him and the rest of the staff that seem to always have a positive welcoming vibe. This is why I rather support this hardware over others.

The staff is consistently so nice and helpful here. They also have the cutest boutique section of curated gifts and home decor; it reminds me of the store Pigment minus the plants. I purposely try to go here if I need to buy something they might carry because this is a business I really want to support. I get the impression they treat their people well, and I just love their thoughtful selection. Whenever my mom visits me from out of town, she wants me to take her shopping here lol I'm serious that their boutique section is so cute and unique.

Just another great Ace Hardware. Great assortment of products. They are well staffed and everyone is very helpful. Prices are not the best though, but that’s not their niche.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, fair prices, and a wide range of products for sale. There's a reason why I visit this location often. The train is cool too.

The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. You pay a little extra but not much considering the price of gas these days to go to the closest Home Depot.

It’s so refreshing to find what feels like an old-fashioned neighborhood hardware store where people enjoy working, they’re helpful at every turn, know their stuff, and are pleasant to the customers.

This is one of those few remaining places.

Surprisingly large. Has a second story in the store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They've helped me find alternative furniture screws and troubleshoot how to make what they had for the purpose I needed as they didn't have an exact match. Easy to lose track of time as they have a large selections of all kinds of things

Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and everything you need from a neighborhood hardware store.

Showed up for some blue loctite on a Friday afternoon and everyone was honestly so friendly and helpful. I was told the exact aisle where the loctite would be and I was greeted by all the employees who saw me. Awesome store with awesome people. Keep it up team!

I love this store! Just picked up a brand new Weber natural gas grill. They assembled it and delivered it for no charge. Now that is service!

If I can avoid a run to home depot I'm grateful! Our neighborhood Ace is both well stocked and full of the most helpful and gracious staff. Thanks Ace, you made our Christmas bright!!!

You can not have this type of customer service in a big warehouse store like Home D and Lowes. Expect to be greeted at the door and expect someone to walk with you to where you need to go. I love Ace, def the place for me. ❤

I would add more reviews on top of my earlier 5 star rating. This ACE store is so friendly and they have more stuff they you might imaging. Staff like Colin are so helpful. I have since been there multiple times this year. Last time I was looking for a bolt set to match my car roof rack and I am glad staff Colin and other employees helped me very patiently to get it finally working! I definitely would go back when there is an issue. Suggest to other folks: You don't have drive another 10 miles to go to Home Depot, this store could serve you better and check with them first!

Nice store. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pretty much a little bit of everything here as a smaller hardware store should be. Needed to get a conversion kit to run a 20lb propane on my portable Coleman grill. I was helped and they had the tank ready for me in all under fifteen minutes. Much preferable to the big box stores and way closer to home.

Very helpful staff. Your recognized as soon as you come in. Almost everyone has an up beat and positive attitude
