My estate attorney introduced me to Kim Realty Group and it didn’t take long for me to appreciate the value I had with Jeff Kim and Jessica Appley. Their professionalism and attention to detail went far beyond what I expected. As a trustee for my best friend Roy’s Living Trust, Jeff and Jessica really made me feel at ease through the entire process, even though I was 1500 miles away from San Diego! I have never met them personally, but they cared enough to treat me like family. They knew my situation and how difficult it would be. They didn’t know my friend, Roy but I know he would’ve been very happy with them. Jessica handled everything from estate sale, prepping the house for sale, the solar company and the mortgage company! Without them, this would’ve been a nightmare.

I’d like to take time to discuss the importance of customer service. As a retired nurse for over 30 + years, (my patients were my customers) I can tell you how much I appreciate stellar customer service encounters. Studies show that if a consumer has a negative customer service encounter, they will tell as many people in their inner circle as they can. In comparison, why is it that when we excellent customer service, we’ll actually take it for granted and tell perhaps a few close friends and family.

I’d like to change that scenario today. My family and I were recipients of incomparable customer service and I’d like to tell you about it.

In December of 2022, our family experienced the tragic loss of a son, stepson, and a brother. Suddenly we found ourselves afloat in a sea of sorrow. I was assigned as the administrator of my son's estate. One of my duties would be to sell my son's condo and follow the process through probate. We live in AZ so it would entail us working the process through phone conservations. It seemed like a monumental task, and because of the grief and emotional pain that accompanies any unexpected death, I did not feel I was up the task. I had so many calls from strangers representing various real estate agencies. That's when the PIRANHAS AND THE VULTURES (as I like to call them), first appeared. I refer to the dozens of real estate agents that called about my son's property and also wanted to send pamphlets, books, and other materials they expected me to read and digest before their next call. And call they did, some repeatedly, even when I asked them to stop and even when I informed them that I was not interested in their services as initially I was in deep mourning for my son. They were like vultures who would not take no for answer. Their pamphlets, and books wound up in my trash can. My estate attorney found out what was happening. She referred us to JEFF KIM REALTY, and that proved to be the greatest blessing to our family.

From the moment I first talked with Jeff Kim and Jessica Appley, I knew we had found the right people to deal with the sale of my son’s Mission Bay condo. They were the calm voice of reason in an emotional storm. It wasn’t just a sale to them, but rather, an honoring of my son’s legacy and life. They got working immediately to assure us the best outcome with this sale. They are so incredible knowledgeable of the area. They were very active listeners and presented us with several options to consider in the sale of this condo. The offered suggestions of steps we could follow to improve the appearance of the property. They understood the entire probate process and would keep us informed every step of the way. They had answers for all the scenarios we could encounter and were very proactive. They were professional and prompt. They returned calls immediately. We never had to guess what was happening behind the scenes as they provided constant updates. The sale moved along at a steady pace. They always alerted us if paperwork was coming over that we needed to sign, etc. They were patient with our questions, concerns, and our emotions on days when the loss of our family member was too much to bear. In addition to their business savvy, they were incredibly kind, compassionate, and faith-filled. As cliché as it may sound, they were real, they were genuine.

I cannot say enough about Jeff and Jessica. They became family. It wasn’t just about the sale of the house. It was about the legacy of my son after all.

By the way, my son’s condo sold to the very first person who saw the property during the very first showing which was an open house. With their professionalism, the condo sold at a higher price than anticipated.

We were in CA not long ago, to handle some other matters of my son’s estate. We finally had the pleasure of meeting Jeff and Jessica in person. They were everything they had portrayed to us via phone. They will always be a part of our family.

I contacted Jeff based off reference from a good friend a little over 6 months prior to when we eventually closed on our home. He was very easy to talk to and he had a good grasp of the neighborhoods we were interested in. We had a very clear and productive discussion about expectations, my timeline and what we were looking for. Jeff set up a couple different searches to target the areas and types of homes I was interested in. Before long, Jeff was calling agents and touring a bunch of properties for me, and he never took more than a few days to get back to me with ample pictures, videos, and comments. Many of these homes were over an hour drive away from his office (one way!). I can't say enough about his customer service and work ethic - homes in San Diego are sometimes only on market for a couple days, and Jeff will not let you lose out on an opportunity.

If it weren't for Jeff's perseverance, we would not have gotten our offer accepted. Because Jeff was willing to make the extra phone calls, we got into escrow with the exact home we wanted.

Throughout escrow, we would text and call each others all the time, it didn't matter time of day - he always responded. He pays great attention to detail and he is extremely reliable. Also, Jeff has a lot of good resources for any type of inspection or service. Every escrow can run into obstacles, but Jeff constantly stayed on top of all the documents and inspections. In fact, he called over 20 San Diego roofing companies to get us the estimate we needed. Jeff's dedication to service, communication skills, and willingness to do all the little things really saved me so much headache and frustration. I had complete trust and confidence that he would represent our best interests and take care of us.

I really had a great experience with Jeff and his team, and I will definitely try to use him again if we can purchase another property. Can't say enough positive things about Jeff, I sincerely hope all potential home buyers/sellers seriously consider using his services as well.

Jeff was consistently professional, considerate, and went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable with all decisions and talked us through every step of the process. We worked with Jeff last year on selling our townhome and were very pleased with how that went and so we decided to work with Jeff and Katie during our home purchase this year. We were in a unique situation with my husband on the east coast, but they were able to work with us to coordinate showings and get our desired homes all scheduled on one weekend which was great! Their communication with us was very transparent and we felt very comfortable in the state of things because of that. In addition, Covid created a further challenge in that showings were limited and the home loan process was challenging, but they really just worked with us and were flexible.

I’d highly recommend them if you’re searching for a home because, as a data driven person, the information provided about the various neighborhoods and recent sales really just helped us understand what situation we would be in with each particular home. Overall, Jeff and Katie were a pleasure to deal with and really minimized the stress of buying a home. We would highly recommend them to anyone that wants that truly personalized experience when buying or selling a home!

My first experience with Kim Realty Group 2 years ago was also my first home buying experience and I have to say I couldn't have asked for a better combination! From the second my fiance and I met Jeff, we made a connection instantly. Jeff was extremely welcoming and he really made an effort to not only understand what we were looking for but also us as a couple. Throughout the whole process, he was always very knowledgeable, positive and extremely accommodating. There were also a lot of fun and memorable moments we still look back on and laugh about. We have been in our dream home for almost a year now and a huge part of that is because of the guidance Jeff had provided. My parents are now permanently relocated to San Diego and have been living in their dream home for almost a month and we couldn't have done any of it without Jeff and Katie.

We spent months going back and forth about selling our home, even though we had relocated to another state. At the time, Jeff had just sold a home in our neighborhood so I saw him as the listing agent and started looking into whether he might be a good fit for us to work with. We reached out and were so happy we did because they were great to work with. While most of our communication was over the phone and through email, when he heard that I was going to be in town for a wedding he made it a priority to meet up in person which I think says something about his character.

After deciding to move forward with selling our home in San Diego while we were living in Maryland, we were nervous. After an initial conversation with Jeff, we felt more at ease with the process but were still skeptical with our ability to get updates and sufficient communication. Immediately we realized that the communication/information was free flowing and that he and his team were easily able to accommodate our communication method needs. They provided timelines and modified them as items were checked off of the list which was a great reference for us. He even met with us every time new homes in the neighborhood went on the market to go through any impacts it could have with our listing. He knew our overall goals and could tailor steps to ensure we met our financial goals.

Being first time sellers, he walked us through every document and answered every single question we had about the forms, timeline and expectations. He was honest, hard-working and he made us feel as though we were his only clients, though we most definitely were not.

The paperwork transactions were very easy as well in terms of logistics. When we bought our house we had to scan every document, which was very time consuming, but when we sold with Jeff, digital signatures were the norm and very convenient.

Overall we are extremely satisfied with Jeff and his team and their outstanding service and ability to advocate for their clients. We will absolutely use him in the future.

Our experience with Kim Realty group has been top notch from start to finish. He set up meetings and calls to discuss the process and make decisions as things moved along. We were given a timeline early regarding exactly what was going to happen when, which was really helpful because this was our first home selling experience and with so much going on, it helped us stay on track. Jeff and his team have helped my family in both of our home purchases in San Diego. We recently sold our starter home and moved in to our current home using Kim Realty Group. Katie, Jeff, and Jessica very elegantly navigated our contingent home purchase (and sale) such that our contingency was hardly an issue at all. We sold our house right before COVID largely shut the city down, but Katie and Jeff helped us negotiate with the buyers to give us the time we needed to find a new home during really uncertain times, and without us having to find a place to stay in between. JEFF KIM is the BEST!!! He was thorough with impressive attention-to-detail that met or exceeded my own (which was fantastic). Every house that I showed interest in was tackled with an immediate plan of action as to whether or not we should/would pursue it or not. He explained the home-buying process in such a user-friendly manner! Jeff took out ALL of the guess work which was great. He had such a quick turn-around time for questions we had. As an investor, I have purchased and sold multiple properties. Jeff definitely approaches real estate a lot differently that other realtors that I have dealt with. He sold my in-laws Carmel Valley condo by first really understanding what our goal was and then building a strategy around that goal. There is a lot more than selling a home than just getting the highest price. We had a very particular timeline so needed to sell the condo during the holiday season. Additionally, Jeff knew we needed to Net a very specific return and made sure we got that amount. Jeff is a great negotiator and his home seller system allowed us to accomplish all of our goals and got the condo sold quickly.

The first time I worked with him was for the sale of my previous property. Even though the transaction was a bit complicated due to some litigation with the condo association, Jeff made it as painless as possible. He guided me through the entire process and provided me with various options backed with market data and analysis in a clear and concise manor. I truly believe we completed the sale at the right price. So when the time came to purchase my next property, it was really a no-brainer to continue working with him. As expected, he delivered again with excellent service!

It took 8 months to find the right place for me and throughout this time he was extremely patient and always focused on my needs, answering all of my questions and providing plenty of guidance. Even the escrow process was virtually painless due to his assistance! Needless to say, I was very happy with the purchase and very thankful that I had Jeff on my side to guide me every step of the way.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Kim a few months ago when we began our search for a condo in San Diego. Jeff and Jessica were great to work with. They were super helpful throughout the entire process.
