Glacier Brewhouse

Glacier Brewhouse was recommended by our tour guide, and I’m so glad she mentioned it because I don’t think we would have stopped in otherwise. We didn’t get to eat, but we had a few different beers and each was phenomenal. We came in late, less than an hour before closing, but every staff member we encountered was super friendly.

An absolute culinary gem! The calamari and ale fondue with pretzels appetizers set the bar incredibly high, undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. The pizza? Simply phenomenal. We ventured further into their diverse menu with the Salmon, herb crusted halibut, mixed seafood grill, seafood fettuccine, and the peppercorn crusted steak — each dish was a masterclass in flavor, easily some of the best we've ever indulged in. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the desserts made their grand entrance. The peanut butter pie, their world-famous bread pudding, and the summer berry cheesecake were the perfect sweet endings to a memorable meal. Highly recommend!

Had to make a stop here for the bread pudding. The shrimp and grits were incredible. Pleasant surprise. The bread pudding but had a bit too much apples in it for me. Otherwise texture was great… soft not mushy.

The food here has been the best I've had since being in AK. Everything I've tried was amazing. The wait staff is very efficient and friendly. The beers are great. Recommend the chicken sandwich

This brewery is expensive and worth the visit. It was really loud and crowded when we were there, but with the high-quality food and drinks, that's to be expected. They have an excellent beer menu with a wide variety of beer to choose from--I, of course, tasted two and got a flight. I ordered the crab legs. They were REALLY Pricey, but they were excellent. There was so much meat on them that I didn't finish the rest of my meal. Excellent experience.

Great place for seafood based meals in the heart of Anchorage Downtown. The Calamari is a niche above and highly recommend. The meals are excellent and flavorful. The menu skews to seafood and fish dishes but when in Alaska you should be eating Salmon anyway!!! There are also good pizza options. Save space for desert too.

I'm a local Alaskan. Been quite awhile since dining at the Glacier Brewhouse because it seems it's always tourist season time summer/winter and I let our tourists have it.
My wife and I running errands today while in town from our Big Lake area home, stopped for lunch at 2 pm. No tourists, a few people only, front door street parking, perfect,,,place to ourselves👍
The French dip was THE best I have ever tasted. Our server was excellent and our timing to be there was by design and we were delighted.

Had to come back a second time because it was too busy the first time we tried. Made a reservation and it was well worth the wait. Had the calamari appetizer which we ate fast enough I wasn't able to get a picture. I had the cod fish and chip and my wife had the filet and shrimp. All were very good including my George Dickel Manhattan. Excellent service!

Everything about this place was wonderful! The seafood chowder had delicious flavor. The beer flights was a nice variety of tasty beers. Finally, the service from Dawson was top of the line!

Wonderful staff that made us feel at home. Delicious crab legs didn’t disappoint. Beer and wine was fantastic with our buttery crab.

I came here for dinner with my partner on a Thursday evening. For 2 we had a 45 min wait and we did wait just a little over that time frame so I definitely recommend making reservations if you can!! This place gets very busy. They are moving drinks and food quick but it’s such a popular place. The inside has a very “Alaskan” atmosphere. There is a fireplace, lights, and lots of pretty exposed wood. While waiting for a table we got drinks at the bar. Drink costs are as expected and pretty reasonable. You can also get food at the bar but we waited for a table for the full experience. We ordered the Alaska Alder Grilled Salmon ($33) and the Herb Crusted Halibut ($41). Bread does not come with meals and is available for an additional cost. Overall, the meals were exceptional. I do still think the food is a touch overpriced. The special of the day was salmon with vegetables and it was going for $55 and was not different enough than the grilled salmon on the menu to warrant ordering. Only complaint with my meal was the salad was dry and the waitress was too busy so I didn’t want to bother her for dressing that should’ve been on it. But overall still a good meal! PS if you want a wheelchair accessible restaurant, know there are stairs that go up to enter so it’s not the friendliest in that aspect

First time visiting and it will not be my last! First off service was top notch. Made reservations ahead of time. Greeted politely and sat right away. We were celebrating my husbands 40th birthday with our 5 kids and I was pleased to see so many different crowds: boys night, date night, families with small kids, people eating solo and the vibe was right for all. Calamari was delicious! So were the pretzels! We will definitely be back!

Always love coming here! The service is incredible, the food awesome and the staff is always ready to assist. It's no wonder this place is always packed!

Let me start off by saying that there is barely a handful of restaurants that never dissapoint me, and this is one of them. We have been going to this place for years and our favorite is the grilled salmon. It is always packed with so much flavor. The appetizers alone are so delicious. Their bread and butter and calamari our on the top of our list. I haven't even gotten to the dessert but I always try to make room for it. The bread pudding with ice cream is a must. On top of all that, their service has always been absolutely great. Very attentive servers who check on us often if we need anything. This kind of service combined with a superb menu is hard to come by. I will continue to be a regular at this place and it is easily one of my top favorite places to go.

Omg! Jacquie, our bartender, was the best ever! Love how she makes everyone feel special! She made this just for me! It definitely made me feel like VIP!

I recently visited Glacier Brewhouse (The Brewhouse) in Anchorage and had a great time! I tried their “flagship” beer flight and was impressed with the selection. The cornbread appetizer with jalapeño turned out to be a perfect complement to the beers. The place offers an expansive menu for food and other alcoholic drinks as well. I'd absolutely visit again and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

This was by far the best restaurant we had food in Alaska in our 8 days trip. We got salmon spread, halibut and steak and all were super delicious!

A really great overall experience! We started with an appetizer of the seafood platter, which was way more food than we expected! 3 generous amounts of various samplings of seafood, all equally amazing. We were huge fans of the salmon dip!! We had the halibut as well, with a salad and mashed potatoes, which was very satisfying. Great beer selection too!

Would definitely recommend! One important thing to keep in mind; make a reservation! This seems to be a very popular spot in town, so if you’re just walking in for a meal around dinner without one, expect a wait (we did for an hour)

Absolutely one of my favorite spot here in Alaska and Anchorage. If you like beer, this is İdris you should come.. but when you coming to Sezen, it’s gonna be busy just so you know. You’re probably gonna wait for a while at least an hour. I’m not blaming them because they are so good for food and drinks.

This place has great atmosphere, food and amazing staff.
