Once in a Blue Moose

One of my favorite locally owned gift shops in AK! As a frequent visitor from the lower 48, I always stop in when I'm there to pick up gifts for everyone back home. I've also ordered online when I can't make the trip, great delivery time and it's always personalized. ❤

I wouldn’t say “high end” but has some more pricey items compared to Polar Bear Gifts. I really enjoyed their knife selection and their staff was incredibly helpful and patient. I would definitely visit again and I recommend you checking them out for your Alaska Souvenirs.

Love this company. I live in the Kansas City area, but I wanted some Alaskan goodies. I was happy to discover they could ship me anything I could possibly want. I was delighted by how quickly my package arrived. Be sure to check their website, they have lots of cute stuff. Shout out to Dolores and Jameson for the excellent service.

When you need a gift, but you don't want to break the bank. Once in a Blue Moose has multiple locations, but if you're near the Hotel Captain Cook you'll save time walking to the 5th Avenue Mall area. The gifts are mostly inexpensive and many gifts are small for mailing or packing. You'll also find snacks and drinks here if you're in a hurry for a quick lunch.

My mom & I shopped here last week and bought some really cute things! The staff were so kind and welcoming. The store was very neat & clean as well. The items we bought were really great quality too. I bought a sweatshirt, a beanie, and a hat. My mom bought a few things as well.

Lots of cool knick knacks and trinkets. Got some cool shirts and a hat to take home from our fun time in Alaska.

If 10 stars were available I would give them 10! Once in a Blue Moose has unparalleled customer service and products! For Christmas I ordered my family some goodies and since I do not live in Alaska I wanted to make sure that their presents got to them before the holiday. After not seeing a shipping notification, I called to make sure my package was being sent out. The woman who answered the phone was so nice and relayed my message to someone who could help me. That same day I received the NICEST EMAIL EVER from Vernon, explaining that they originally lost my order, but had it prepared and sent off that day! They also included extra goodies in the box for the inconvenience! LOVE THIS STORE!!! If I am ever in Alaska I will make a point to stop in and personally thank the wonderful staff there! Thank you again for making Christmas possible for my family who lives so far away from me!!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We just had the best time shopping! The service was incredible—we are traveling with a baby and they offered to stow our car seat and diaper bag at the counter (such a relief!) and then helped us find the sizes we were looking for and played peekaboo with our baby too!

I love to buy myself a treat from here!! Don't deal with Jill just leave her in the depths of despair plus her kids are rowdy! Nicki is my favorite employee she's in a good mood and it's there to stay!!

So much to see and so little time to see it. Unique gifts well made and reasonably priced. The sales staff very courteous and helpful. Wrapped up our items so that they would not break on our return flight home. Definitely will shop their online store.

Unique gift/souvenir shop w/ very friendly and helpful employees. You can stop in just for directions & they're so nice! Some of the cutest and classiest gifts in all of Alaska! They also carry sundries, snacks & drinks.

Service is selling! And selling is service! I just saw a YouTube video the workers made for the store and it’s hilarious! I wish I lived in Alaska I would shop here EVERYDAY! They seem like a super friendly and energetic staff!

The customer service at Once in a Blue Moose is the BEST! I needed to replace a bumper sticker for my son. He had purchased the same sticker on a cruise to Alaska last year. He recently got a new (to him) car and really wanted another Alaska sticker. Nikki was so helpful in making this happen. The sticker shipped quickly and my son was so happy when he opened it for his birthday!

Best customer service EVER! Thanks, Morrisa and Team in Seward :) My daughter is working in Seward this summer; first time away from home for more than a few days at a time, and her 19th birthday is today. I called OBM to ask if they'd mind delivering a birthday gift if I chose a few fabulous items from their website. Why, no problem! I'm really grateful when I encounter folks willing to go the extra mile.

A nice shop for Alaska gifts and souvenirs. You will probably find something for everyone here. Prices are typical for souvenir shops, so really reasonable!

Great place to find a huge variety of Alaska souveniers. The store is clean, organized and they have friendly and knowledgable employees. Highly recommend!

Alaska was the most beautiful place I ever imagined. Weather was beautiful and it was a wonderful place to vacation with your loved ones or family.

Ordered a shirt Friday and it was here in Lousiana by Monday! Despite a huge earthquake! To top it all off my shirt is amazing!

Always such a good selection of Alaska gifts! Though I probably prefer their Talkeetna location.
