Today I had the most pleasant shopping experience. Season was the most helpful person and incredibly kind, caring and passionate about ensuring that I felt like I was getting exactly what I needed for my trip. What she didn’t know was that I’m in Alaska on a small retreat to find myself again after my husband passed away unexpectedly a few months back. Today was my first day here and she was my first person I met when I arrived. I was apprehensive about taking this trip alone, but if the rest of my time in Alaska is like my experience this morning and the folks here are as kind as she is.. then I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. Thank you for your kindness.

Recently visited Anchorage for a winter trip. Living in the Southeast US I don’t have a need for heavy winter gear. So I rented a heavy parka and snow boots from 6th Ave Outfitters. The gear was in excellent quality and worked very well. The crew there was very knowledgeable and very helpful.

As a travel advisor I would definitely use them again and recommend to my clients.

I just shopped here last week and gosh always enjoyed my shop, 2nd year now where I got what I needed and they ship it for me, so had awesome help from with all that I didn't for my clan. Also great help with figuring out shoe sizes for my kids boots. Boots aren't here yet but think we did good. This is where I am gonna be shopping from now on, well my second year so sure I will see them next fall. Great service and great peoples. Thanks again.

Heard an advertisement on 100.5 the 🦊 for this place. But a pair of kids winter boots and jacket, and get the winter bibs free. Went down that same day to check it out. Great quality gear and sizes as well. The staff were super helpful with all sizing/fitting of all 3 items. Ended up even buying an extra pair of boots for my wife as the prices were so good.

They had what I wanted and knew what they had. They were perfectly helpful, there when I wanted them and not hovering or trying too hard. They bent over backwards to help me find what I wanted. Prices were fair. It felt comfortable and inviting.

Season was very helpful and patient as I searched for the perfect walking boots. She made sure I found something perfect for me! Great selection and friendly staff. Nice place to shop!

Staff is always helpful and respectful. I fish the Bering sea and their prices are better than what you can find in Dutch harbor. This is where I buy my gear when I’m in town most definitely.

I had an amazing experience and customer service. Mr. Paul went above all my expectations. I was in contact with this company since one week prior to my trip, I was going to get gear with my tour company, but due to unforeseen circumstances that was not able to be done. So hear I was in Seattle, WA waiting to arrive to Anchorage with no winter gear for my family and myself. So I contacted 6th Avenue Outfitters and Mr.Paul, paid over the phone, the issue was it was Christmas Eve and the company was closing, but no problem my gear was sent in boxes to the hotel I was staying. I thought that was the end of it but wait there is more to tell. The plane was delayed finally arrived at Seattle and to the hotel, but the gear was to small for us. So Mr. Paul was kind enough to give me his contact number and he told me anything wrong pls inform me. It was 9pm Christmas Eve and he opened his store and my family and I were getting fitted with winter gear until 1030pm. This is something I can recommend 100% to any one going or wanting to buy gear to Alaska or waiting to buy online.the gear was so cozy warm new with no issues. 6th Ave Outfitters has an easy to find location downtown Anchorage. Good shopping experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Great, quality products at reasonable prices. I purchased a couple coats, shirts, and a hat. I'm happy with them all.

Ive been a customer for several years, here, and found 6th Ave Outfitters to be excellent. A healthy mix of top rate and value focused equipment for much of our Last Frontier. They recently opened their outlet upstairs, also. More than just merchants.

I love Paul. It was a pleasure working with him. SAV-ON installed his new FLOORING and we hope he loves it. We look forward to buying some winter gear this year. He has the best prices in town.
