New Sagaya Midtown Market

10/13/23- I found this by accident listening to a radio commercial about Poke at Sagaya.
I met Justice who said he makes the Poke and it's a Hawaiian dish. I have a lot of Hawaiian and Polynesian friends in Utah but I don't eat it. I had no choice today because Justice shared a sample of his Poke and it's delicious 😋
I told him I liked the spicy best. I'm glad he let me try it because now I am hooked.
They have cooked food upfront and lots of hard to find groceries. I hope they recognize Justice because he gives awesome customer service!

The deli offers an impressive variety of delicious meals at prices that won’t break the bank. While you might encounter a line depending on when you visit, the wait is undeniably justified by the quality and selection of food and beverages on offer. Personally, I was astounded by the generous portion sizes; an entree combo here can comfortably satisfy two people. Wonderful selection of a little bit of everything and at a convenient price that won't hurt the wallet.
I really enjoyed both the Asian selection (especially sauces) as well as the Hispanic ingredients (peppers and hot sauces).
Highly recommend that you investigate this place for yourself as something new, something to provide meal ideas, and to just go check out!

Great fresh, locally-sourced and also internationally sourced, fish are all labeled accordingly. Great prices on produce, lovely little bakery.

Great produce/wide selection of unusual vegetables. Any Asian sauces you can imagine, great for ethnic foods and snacks. Eat-in deli and coffee bar. Prices vary, some are cheaper than major stores others are not.

I had the Spicy Ahi Poke and Tako Poke fresh from the Seafood Department
Live Dungeness Crabs also available!!

New Sagaya does such a great job with their produce selection. It's my go-to for Asian ingredients and specialty products. Excellent selection of chocolates and candies if you're looking for stocking stuffers and gifts to take to seasonal gatherings! Plus, you can grab a Kaladi Brothers Coffee while you're there. What's not to love?

New Sagaya is the place for prepared foods, fresh seafood and high quality beef. The produce is excellent and they carry many items that those who enjoy Asian cooking. The staff there are always kind and helpful and the store is easily navigable. Their pastries and catered products through l’aroma bakery are always excellent...we especially love their cheerfully decorated and delicious sugar cookies! Try the eggplant or salmon pate as well...you will not be disappointed.

Great selection of Asian foods, seafood, and freshly made meals. Great stop on your way out of town for your next adventure.

Food and customer service was an abundance in quality and also quantity at a very excellent consumer price range. And I hope that doesn't change, i have eaten there 2-3 times a month since the first visit.

If you don't know about sagaya you need to check it out. Very good Asian grocery selection plus tons of fresh produce and protein. Lunch options are unbeatable. Sandwich shop, salad bar, sushi, quick serve Chinese food, soups, kaladi bros.... Everything

This place has a little bit of everything!

Salad bar, food entrees, and live crab are only a few items that bring me back to New Sagaya. If you're looking for something from the sea then you need to have a look here. I think the Midtown location is much better than the Downtown location, so check here first.

If you're looking for lunch then get here early or late. The lines are insanely long and you'll spend 15 minutes waiting. Bring a friend and hold them hold a table for you outside while waiting in line.

I love New Sagaya! Their Chinese food during lunch is top notch and they don't skimp on their portion sizes!

Plus, ready made sandwiches, calzones, and other items are always delicious as well!

Coffee shop and oriental buffet with self seating area. Pastries available but can bring your own and meet with friends for conversations.

Many of the prices are better than larger grocers, especially on meat, poultry, and seafood. The produce seems much fresher and the selection of items is excellent!

Nice store. I do not have much that I get here but it is fun to browse. I really enjoy getting their chinese food that is ready to get for lunch. It is quick and good. Not a bad price either.

I shopped in the seafood department, excellent service. Also I had my dinner there, the food was so delicious. Love it 😃

I love shopping here. I don't come here very often but I can find unique items. When things are on sale it's usually a pretty decent sale. Food court is the best! American options and Asian options. The bakery is good too! I also like their selection of produce. From what I understand it's an employee-owned company now?? And the employees are treated really well. A very respectable Alaskan Business.

Best place to get lunch. Affordable and great choices. Love the banana milk!!! It is also a great place to get spices other stores don't carry.

Good food in the deli with decent prices. Haven't had much trouble finding the grocery options I needed.
