49th State Brewing - Anchorage

This was our first “taste” of Alaska and we loved it! We both got flights so we could sample as many beers as possible, and each one was very good. We also tried the Aurora soda, which we liked so much we ended up trying many 49th State different sodas as we found them at different places throughout our trip. The food was great as well, and our server was very friendly!

Very nice atmosphere with great food. The halibut and chips was excellent and so was the king crab legs. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Highly recommend this place!

Great place to eat. Recently there for a cruise and we ate there twice. Super busy place especially right before/after cruise traffic so expect to wait for a table. We just waited less than 30 min to grab a table at the bar area. Extensive drink menu, great selection of beers and bourbon. Wedge salad is massive. Calamari is very good. Special that day was Halibut and it was very good. My favorite app was the Bavarian Pretzel. So warm and it was MASSIVE! $5 paid parking across the street. Service was excellent! Highly recommend.

This place is so amazing! my boyfriend is OBSESSED with the Mt. Magnificent Burger. it’s absolutely excellent. The specialty lemonades are soooo delicious. And genuinely every dessert is perfect. Probably one of my favorite spots in Anchorage

I really like the place and the atmosphere but the bartender who served to me was amazing! His name was “Mert”, he was completely in control and took care of us in the best way! I appreciate for the service and drinks! “Tiger’s blood” was delicious, if you are a sour beer lover, I strongly recommend this one and if you are looking for a place with tasty draft beers, it’s your place! Thank you!

First time in Alaska. Omg, I’m so glad I came to this place! Everything is delicious! Please get the King Crabby Grilled Cheese, but make sure you get a larger seafood chowder, because it is to die for (if you can eat it all!). I got so full, I sadly didn’t even get to try dessert! The Apple Fritter Ale is my new favorite beer of all time - yes, it’s that good. Evelin was absolutely fantastic - girl helped me through all of my choices, and just provided amazing service (thanks, girl!). The atmosphere was fantastic, and overall the place is very clean. I wish I had more time in Anchorage, so I could try more of the menu! Highly, highly recommend.

It has breathtaking mountain views from their outdoor seating area. The combination of stunning scenery, exceptional beer selection, and delicious seafood options made for an unforgettable experience. The beers were expertly crafted, offering a diverse range of flavors to satisfy any palate. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the visit. I highly recommend this brewery to anyone seeking a perfect blend of nature, brews, and seafood in Alaska.

We had delicious brews and food and great service! Our server was attentive, gave great suggestions on a beer when I described what I like in a brew. We ate at the bar and the place was busy but still maintained a laid back vibe. The salmon BLT and fries were very tasty.

It was very busy when we came, but the line was actually moving fast. We sat at the outdoor roof terrace, there were heaters all around so it felt warm enough.
Food was delicious and the Alaskan mule was great too. Would definitely come here again!

Excellent service from Catlin - he was fantastic! Great beer, great food (we had the pretzel, meatloaf and Mt. Magnificent burger) and it was awesome! The pretzel was probably the best we've ever had - Highly recommend!

Walked in was a great entrance and ambiance. Our waitress Misty got snippy and rolled her eyes when we called her over to change our order. She then had an obvious attitude dropped a drink off and looked away never acknowledged us. Then avoided our table. My wife received her food my waitress never came back to to take my order. Upon asking for the manager, Josh (manager)remedied the situation, he listened to our complaints without bias. We appreciate that. Josh was professional and resolved the situation where we felt heard. We ended up staying longer & received another server Cam. Cam was professional and accommodating. It's a new day! 2023 customers are tired of spending their hard earned dollars leaving gratuities/tips and not receiving the service they deserve suffering in silence. Thank you 49th Street for making this right.

I had such a good time I came back a couple days later and sat at the bar. Jacob is by far the nicest and most considerate bartender I’ve ever had. Just incredibly polite and attentive and funny and just as kind as can be. Made me feel so welcome and taken care of. He raises the bar for service industry and just how to act as a human being. Thanks Jacob!

Estelita was so nice! Food was great! Beer was really good! Hope to come back and check out more of the menu!

I went in for a quick bite before a trip. My server Cameron was friendly and efficient. I ordered the mt magnificent burger it was huge and delicious. As my first time being here I didn’t know what beer to get. Sonia stopped by our table and was very knowledgeable about the beers and encouraged me to try the smokeshine shot. I’m glad I tried it because I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be back!

I was really impressed with their superb service and imaginative food! I ordered the handmade Bavarian pretzel, halibut and chips, and the Blueberry cream soda. I came with a party of 20 and they actually got our food at the same time. SO impressive that they have such a coordinated kitchen. They don't even have a microwave in this place. Talk about fresh!

My experience never disappoints here! Once again, they crushed it with 5 star service - John was my server, he ensured my food was hot, my beer was cold, and the atmosphere was friendly!

49th Brewery should be your GO TO in downtown Anchorage for lunch and dinner!

Definitely worth the wait to get in. We were there for lunch on a sunny day and the rooftop was really nice. We even saw Denali. The beer was our group's favorite of the Alaska beers they tried on our trip. Our food was all fantastic. I had been waiting on this trip to splurge on king crab and I'm so glad I had it here. It's expensive but it was delicious.

Ordered a sleeping lady Cheeseburger. Calamari and the Mexican corn nachos. The nachos and Cheeseburger was Great. The calamari was well over cooked. Took forever for the cheeseburger to be served when there was about 10 guests in the restaurant.

The beer selection is great. They have a couple of pre-planned flights to choose from. I ordered a pint I wanted to try that wasn't on one of the flights. The food menu has a wide variety to please most folks. I shared a huge burger with my husband. It was delicious. Highly recommend. :)

Def our server was the best host ever! She catered to our every need in a timely fashion and was very sweet! If you go to 49th state ASKED FOR DEZ!!! Cleared plate LETS GO

Amazing! My tastebuds were tap dancing all over I felt like my mouth was having a party. An earthquake of epic perfections rattled my tastebuds. Great meal, great service, great food and amazing views. I felt weird not ordering beer at a brewery so I ordered a soda. The service was so good I had 9 refills!! Previously record was as a Danky pizza shop in Jackson Hole Wyoming (6 refill their). They brought us 1.5 pounds of crab “Straight Outta Da Ocean” (slight callout to popular rapper NWA). It was amazing and creatively authentic. Mac n cheese-yes please. If they telled me I must return each day to eat it, I totally wood… no argument from me. Enjoy!
