Luzmila's bolivian restaurant

This is a best kept secret in Falls Church, did not know it existed but I am happy I ventured in. The food is so good, I ordered enough to make sure I had leftovers. Saltenas (empanadas) are so good, I ordered 8 of them, both chicken and beef were so yummy. I was full and kept eating, not sorry at all. The lady who took my order was very nice. If you like authentic food, try this place, I will definitely be back. Can't wait to introduce this place to others.

Absolutely delicious! I’ve never tried Bolivian food before, only hear how tasty it was from one of my Bolivian friends. I put my questions. Today after having some delicious salteñas! Also enjoyed the pupusas. The prices was very reasonable, and service was prompt. I absolutely recommend trying this restaurant!

I eat here all of the time and I’ve never always had great food for great prices. It’s hard to beat the serving size, the quality and the value you get from Luzmilas. The people who work here are also really kind and I always leave having my day improved!

One of the best Bolivian restaurants in the area. A must recommend if you are looking for quality Bolivian food and a nice Bolivian aesthetic. When I walked in the restaurant and sat down it felt very much like home with nice Folk music and decorations. I've ordered the plancha, parrillada, empanada de queso, and salteñas and they were all up to par with quality and taste. Good service and good food.

I was driving by and saw a line at this place.. figured lunch time lets see why is there a line.. Wow i mean wow. This is a must go too place if you like food from South America. Bolivian cuisine to be exact. I asked the waitress start me out slow.. We went over the menu and i decided to start out with a peanut soup and a saltena. The peanut soup was veey good it had potatoes, beef and peas. It was creamy but not like clam chowder. It was excellent. Served in big bowl and with a piece of fresh made bread. They also have this hot sauce called llajua nice very nice.. The Saltena was next it was like eating a jamaican beef patty but so much better. The dough was hard on the outside soft inside. Inside there was potatoes, peas,chicken, olive and a tasty salsa sauce. Be careful when you eat it it will stain your shirt. Wonderful experience and lunch. Will be back to try the menu plates very soon.

Oh boy, great authentic Bolivian food. The “salteñas” are out of this world. Great customer service, Great tasting food and Great location. Good for the whole family. Moderate price. I strongly recommend. 👍🏻

This place makes the most authentic style salteña I have tasted this side of my native La Paz. Chicken or beef you will not be disappointed.

Best Bolivian restaurant around. My girlfriend is Bolivian and she brought me here to share some of her favorite foods and I was a fan of everything.

The service is always great and the food is always fresh. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are affordable.

I would recommend the salteñas and the lomo saltado if you want to ease your way into a new cuisine.

Saltenas, empanadas and chicharron is the truth at this Bolivian restaurant in falls church. It’s a hidden Jem in the area that features a wide variety of Bolivian dishes that is super tasty if your looking for a new South American cuisine. Highly recommend his place for lunch and dinner.

A few years ago I tried a few other Bolivian restaurants in the VA area, but wasn’t captivated by the food. but when I went to this place today I knew I had hit the jackpot! Having grown up in Bolivia for 16 years, this brought back so many memories of home. I wanted some friends to try Bolivian food so we ordered close to 7 dishes and split them in addition to some appetizers. we tried soup and multiple drinks, and all of it was amazing, and I felt like an adequate representation of the tastes I wanted them to experience, unlike my previous attempts with other friends. If I were to have been blindfolded I would’ve thought I was back home- and that is the first and only time I could say that in the past 22 years living stateside. I will definitely be making the 12 hr round trip road trip to get back here! I loved it and so did all my friends!!

A small place but real hidden gem in Falls Church. Their weekend platters and specialty Bolivian dishes are great but the real winner here is the quick grab and go bakery items like their chicken or beef saltenas. I have to get them weekly.

🇨🇱Chilean here: These salteñas are unbelievably delicious. I hesitated to try the chicken salteñas because every time there is a chicken version of something that was meant to be carne, the blandness ensues. Not the case here. The salteñas de pollo were, incredibly, just as good as the carne salteñas and just as juicy. How is this possible!? An added bonus is that the salteñas de pollo are not spicy like the carne ones. My 7 year-old daughter loved it and even went as far as saying she preferred it over empanadas Chilenas 😱. She’s now grounded 😂.

To conclude, eat at Luzmila’s. The salteñas are out of this world delicious. And this is coming from a Chileno who drove to Virginia from Maryland just for these salteñas.
