First time diners and what a great surprise. We were seated quickly (party of 4) and our server Alex was engaging and quite efficient. The food was amazing as we had the pork chops, which were huge, salmon which was delicious, club sandwich, and Texas chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Casual atmosphere which was comfortable. A definite recommend.

We were passing through on our way to North Carolina and based on reviews and how close this was off of 81 we decided to try it. Very good!

Such friendly service and the food was hot, fresh and very good and fast! I highly recommend getting the fresh cut fries and
Cobb salad with grilled chicken.

The staff handled our party of 19 wlth warmth and efficacy. The menu was diverse, delicious, and affordable . I ordered three blocked snapper and Killer Carrot cake. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, it felt almost like a family dinner. Dessert was delectable. I highly recommend this amazing gem to anyone, any age, any time.

Great food and nice atmosphere. Service is excellent. Can’t wait to have the homemade coconut cake and cheesecake we took to go.

A small but very popular restaurant. Parking is kind of tight near the building. There is additional parking to the right and on the grass below. All of the wait staff were smiling and friendly. We waited a little while for our food, but it came out nice and hot. The oyster dinner came with a generous amount of food. The oysters were perfectly fried and the sweet potato fries were crispy.

Ribs: huge rack of ribs. Only ate half. Best ribs I’ve ever had. The vinegar based sauce was incredible.
Sweet potato fries: amazing.
Chili: really good.
Blondie brownie: best brownie of any kind I’ve ever had. Just perfect in every way.

In closing, I’ll be eating here every time I visit Roanoke. Probably for lunch and dinner.

An interesting menu and a friendly and hardworking wait staff. It’s been like this for years. I recommend.

This little hidden gem is NOT TO BE MISSED!!! I recently found myself enjoying lunch there and humming the theme song to Cheers as I was thinking of all the things I appreciate about this restaurant. Its a more mature crowd, the staff is always outstandingly friendly and upbeat, and the food is on point! A favorite (to share) is the Deluxe Cheese Fries, with a bowl of vegetable beef soup(with two spoons) and a grilled cheese sandwich(cut in half)
I've not tried anything that I haven't liked yet. Don't forget to try the desserts!
I think I've found a new favorite restaurant! So happy it's close to my workplace!!

Travelling, we stopped for lunch after reading reviews. Great restaurant food was obviously fresh and made to order. Staff was pleasant. Had to try cake, Coconut Cake was "best ever" per my husband and the Chocolate Mousse Cake was. Moist and very tasty! Will definitely stop again next time we pass through. Dinner menu looked great too

We stopped for dinner while traveling rt 81 based on the reviews. The food and service were very good. We were happy with everything we ordered. I had the Shrimp & grits with andouille sausage and even though it was a little spicier than I would have liked, it was outstanding. Great place to eat.

This was recommended from our hotel Tru by Hilton nearby. The coconut shrimp and horseradish cheesy grits were something special. My crab bisque was absolutely delicious and the ribs were amazing. This is like heaven and that southern flair is evident here, so so good. I'm from NJ/NY area, they don't actually do food like this there no matter what they say back east. Our waitress was polite and well mannered, in sharp conrast to NJ/NY manners, they have very little. Nice to be treated well through and through here, definitely recommend.

Stopped here on our way to Massanutten from Charlotte for lunch with two kids and my mother in law. It was just 5 min off I-81. The selection was wide enough for all of us to get something we liked - I got the Cajun Meatloaf. It was excellent! It’s a great family atmosphere and quick, friendly service. Definitely worth a stop!

Traveling south onRoute 81 looking for something to eat and come across Hollywood’s Restaurant &Bakery. We took a chance and it turned out Wonderful. The place is a very local type place. Food and service was spectacular. We were treated like we stop in everyday, and they had us back on the road fast.

Had dinner at Hollywood. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. My meal started with a salad which lacked in presentation, the staff threw salad greens on a plate. The entree was excellent, the shrimp creole was very tasty and full of plenty of large shrimp, so large you had to cut them up to eat them. Worth a return visit.

I returned on 9/23 and had the shrimp creole again and it was just as good as last time.

Have you ever found yourself well into 1400 miles of driving and hotel food and just want a really really really good burger? And then get positively surprised by good fries, not too heavy coleslaw, and, for some reason, perfect tasting diet Dr Pepper? And swift and friendly service? And then you see the brownie list… This place was an oasis for me today.

Excellent in every way. My only wish, that they had Heineken zero on the menu. It’s a great addition for folks who don’t drink.

Wasn’t too sure when I pulled up but so glad we gave it a try. Amazing pork sandwich and burger. Brownie and cheesecake to die for!

Holy. Moly! If we lived here, we would be regulars! Dinner was outstanding!! Pork with caramelized onion and Cabernet, fresh baked rolls were warm and delicious, and looking forward to the carrot cake we got "to go" for back at our hotel. The desserts from the bakery are worth 5 stars alone. The service is worth 5 stars alone. The variety and quality of food is worth 5 stars alone.
For some reason, this little place has remained a secret to me into recently. How I've lived here most of my life and not known about it I will never know. I stumbled across it looking for a new place for lunch.
My son and I went on a Saturday afternoon. It was packed but we were seated almost immediately. Our server was friendly, spot on with her recommendations, and exceptionally efficient at meeting our minimal needs.
The portions are ample - we needed to go boxes and had to take dessert with us.
As one who doesn't care for pimento cheese, I was so disappointed that my grief green tomato appetizer came with it. I needn't have worried. It was to die for!
Everything was delicious beyond expectation. The manager (I can only assume that's who she was) was gracious and everyone seems truly invested in making sure patrons have an excellent experience!
Go. And make sure you feed your fat face with dessert!!!!
