Inova Primary Care - Falls Church

I have been seeing Dr. Alsamara for several (3) years now. She has been a proactive advocate in my health care. She suggested I see a specialist because of family history of a few different conditions and a significant cardiac issue was discovered because of her advice. I'm happy to be aware of this now so I can take proper precautions and follow up. The staff at Inova Primary Care has always been wonderful - they are kind, efficient and caring. I recently moved and now have to spend a little more time on the road to visit Dr. Alsamara but it is well worth the trip.

Dr. Balcha is fabulous. Over the years I've had the pleasure of representing many doctors as their lawyer. I met Dr. Balcha after I retired and moved back to the area where I grew up. He is the most fantastic doctor with whom I've ever dealt. I'd give him an A+ for diagnostic skills, an A+ for bedside manner; and A+ for showing concerns over my various illnesses; an A+ for taking the time to listen to me and to clearly explain what he suggest, and an A+ for helping me.
I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone.

This office and practice function they way a medical office should. I visited in order to establish a new primary care doctor. When I arrived I found the front desk and check out staff to be pleasant, helpful, and informative. The RN who assisted took me back early to check my vitals and give me a room. I saw Dr. Han, who was on-time, very pleasant and thorough, and had an excellent bedside manner. She took the time to obtain a very thorough history and exam, and made sure I understood what she was discussing with me. The lab technician was also very efficient and pleasant. Overall I am very satisfied. Everyone was professional and kind, and clearly enjoy and are good at what they do. I would highly recommend the practice and Dr. Han.

All the staff at Falls Church Inova were friendly, helpful and so great. Although they all had masks on, I could hear the smile in their voices. This was my first time at this location and I was so pleased.

Dr. Balcha was amazing! I was blown away by his kindness and genuine concern for my well-being. He asked all the right questions and really listened to me. I got married 3 months ago and was put on my husband's health insurance. I had Kaiser before so I had to find a whole bunch of new doctor's. Finding a primary care doctor was difficult, but now I don't have to look any further. Dr. Balcha was simply the best.

Everyone at this facility is super nice, from the front desk to the nurse and doctor. That is what patient care is all about .Also their paper work is minimal which is a plus. I am grateful to Dr. John Moynihan for his excellent care and making me feel at ease about my procedure. Thank you!

I came to this particular office because it’s close to my job. It was a great decision. Dr. Han is an awesome provider.

Friendly, knowledgeable medical staff; administrative staff members are courteous as well.

Knowledgeable and personable. Suggested diet and lifestyle changes instead of just prescribing drugs.

I want to start off by saying I had a very negative attitude about seeing my doctor because I’ve never had great care. Dr Balcha changed my attitude. He was very kind and considerate. He listened to my concerns and seemed to genuinely want to help. I was also impressed with Amanda the phlebotomist. She had a positive attitude and made the blood draw quick and as painless as a blood draw can be. I recommend this facility for sure. I gave four stars because, although the service was great, I had to wait for an extended amount of time before being called back to the examination room. They could definitely improve on wait times.

I came here to get some blood work drawn for my rheumatologist. Before booking my appointment here, I looked at all the inova locations that were close to me. The locations closer to my house had very bad reviews (hence why i ended up here). They had a lot of availability for lab work & were flexible when I needed to change my appointment time. I checked in & had about a 10 minute wait before I was called back. The technician I had was very professional.

Stay away from Doc H. Impatient even after I explained I was post concussed, rolls eyes does not let concussed pt get their thought out. Cuts off your sentences. Etc etc

Does dot matter about her med skills. Rude is rude . Not letting patient effectively process their thought just makes it worse. Just bad treatment.

Dr. Han was very nice to work with when I was able to see her. Would not recomend early morning appointments with this place. Make sure to give yourself time to call to confirm the day of since they have some issues with scheduling and make sure you either have a print out of lab work or the doctor will be in the day you are getting it or you may not be able to get it at all.

Visited this office on short notice after a head injury accompanied by symptoms of a concussion. Doctor was very dismissive of my concerns and seemed more annoyed that I was bothering them than with the fact I had a head injury. Had to argue for the chance to get an x-ray order which did find a concussion. While a minor concussion it was still in the best interest of my health to get checked out as I had been dizzy for a day at that point. Was charged >200.00 for a less than fifteen minute appointment where I was ridiculed and made to feel small. Inova as a whole has a problem with cost not being related to quality of care, and while some of their doctors are great people it is a real dice roll.

If you're looking for an institutional type of facility where the front desk person is bossy, rude and condescending, this place if for you. There seem to be 2 to 3 people at the front desk, and one of them is atrocious. She thinks she runs the place and speaks down to you AND the other employees. She has done this to me a few times, and as I was waiting to be seen, it was painful to listen to her treat the other incoming patients in the same manner. Since this is INOVA, she cannot be fired, and it just makes trying to get anything done, very unpleasant for us. She is just a very nasty person.

My particular doctor was good and some of the technicians/nurses were friendly, but after several years our entire family agrees that we need to find another family doctor as this is more of a large institutional type of place. There is nothing personal about this place, and getting into see my doctor takes a month or more. Additionally, when I called in last week to check on something, my call was routed to a call center, and a simple problem has still not been resolved. The other reviews are pretty much spot on--at least the ones pointing out the negative issues with this "practice". After several years, we are looking for a regular family doctor to go to, and will be happy to not have to go back to this place. A point for people reading this and other reviews: The Doctors reviews and the practice reviews may be quite different, as I mentioned my doctor is good and nice...but the doctor is just a part of the practice.

Very bad/subpar experience. From the front desk lady to the nurse practitioner to the check out. The front lady was rude... looked like she was annoyed by people checking in. The nurse practitioner Dr neely was nice but her physical was incomplete. She did not check things like my eyes, ears or throat, she also did not perform a clinical breast exam... all should be part of routine physicals. The checkout lady didn't even check me out properly either she just took my name and said she'd check me out later. What? Very unsatisfied.

Unfortunately I have to give something that is why i put one star, worst primary care ever. Never able to see my mom’s dr. For sick visit they offer you appointment 3-4 days in advance. I asked the lady what i do if i am sick she go to urgent care

Didn’t reply me back at all I called more then 100 times and very rude nurses dr balcha have hes kind good heart ver good doctors

This place doesn't give out vaccines to children or adults. They make you go somewhere else. I was put on hold for 30 mins and never got the receptionist to come back on the phone. I agree with everyone else reviews.
