Have been here for lunch. Natural and special flavors remember me, my little BUBU, and her grandmother. The Borsh was wonderful, and the bread is own maked. Special. Thanks to owners and special to the oldest at the store, she was great serving my petitions. Will came back 100%.

Went in to get some pre-made borscht in a jar but after taking to a nice lady, and trying her homemade borscht I ended up getting that instead.
I was also offered a freshly baked bread but sadly I couldn't wait 20 min for it.

It is very delicious and the price is decent. Definitely try hearing under the coat and sirniki. They are very delicious. My American friend couldn’t wait for me to take a pic and tried everything before and love it. Definitely to come back.

One of my favorite grocery stores. Great place for Eastern European groceries. Very friendly staff and plenty of choices. Plus, if you spend more than $100 they give you 10-20% (20-30% during weekends) discount. Also, they have small Cafe.

My family enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day at this cozy light -filled restaurant. The live violin music was versatile and very appropriate for ambiance. The prices (total $67) and the service were excellent. We all enjoyed the refreshing berry drink called compote. Kids liked meat and cabbage pirozhki as appetizers.
My entree with trout came with choices of two sides (home made potatoes are to die for) and a shredded salad, and I enjoyed the variety of food as well as the presentation. Trout was moist and did not have any bones. My son loved the signature chicken dish. My daughter ordered lamb and rice meal and the generous size portion was enough for her to take half for lunch to school. Very reasonable prices especially taking into consideration the generous portions and quality ingredients.

Great restaurant and grocery store with plenty of Russian and Eastern European items to choose from. Very clean and the atmosphere is cool.

I love that I can find some Moldovan wine, candy and other items as well since the owner is from Moldova. Prices are similar compared to other Russian stores but you get a 30% discount for paying in cash . I love their homemade food, especially black bread.
Happy they now moved even closer to where I live!

Stopped by for a quick lunch today and was impressed. Service is great, food was cooked and delivered to the table very quickly. I had vareniki with cabbage, vinegret salad and had really delicious mors(berry juice) to drink.

I’m an American but I study Russian language at university. I came in to buy some snacks for an end of semester party. There are so many interesting and exciting products to buy here! Do not be intimidated to drop in, I guarantee you’ll find something you like. The staff was so patient and helpful and even helped me pick out the best Russian dishes to bring to my class. Kārums sweet cheese snacks are my favorite. There are also some Laima chocolate from Latvia as well. Also I really like fresh baked bread

I went to buy cooked food to go. Borsch was Kuban style, orange in color and just like my grandma makes. Wonderfuly delicious and well balanced on vegies, thickness of broth, and acidity. Cabbage not overcooked. Just right. Blitzes with cheese were also fantastic. The Creppe was not too thin, soft and buttery with pores. And the farmers cheese filling on the sweet side with a pleasant hint of vanilla. Also, just as the best home made. Worth the cost.

This was my go to place for Russian (and other eastern European) food for the last 3+ years. The selection is fantastic, their deli section is super delicious and the prices are not marked up. A cool fact: every last weekend of each month you get 30% of your entire purchase if you pay in cash, 20% if you use your credit card. The store staff is very nice and welcoming and will give you recommendations if you're not sure what to try. I haven't had the chance to try their adjacent restaurant yet but if it's anything like their deli I imagine it will be great.

Our first time today. It's definitely home-style cooking. Very warm service. Left stuffed for about $20 each for the four of us. Everything was delicious. The tomato-y borscht and stuffed cabbage were particular standouts. Crepes with cheese and potato vareniki were also a hit. Give them a try!

I stumbled across this next to my hotel and decided to check out. The market has loads of interesting and different foods, treats, beer and wine that I’ll be gifting to family and friends. The market offers 30% off if you eat at their restaurant so I checked it out. The food was amazing! I tried the pirozhki which was different but good. I had the stuffed pork chops for my entree and the plate was exceptional - terrific preparation, spices, and enough for a couple of meals!

Good selection of eastern European foods. Has fresh meats cut to order at the counter. Very clean shop with well organized shelves in their new, larger location. Shop offers discount for paying in cash.

I love that the chef is from Russia, it’s really authentic Russian taste! Plus you need to get that Russian imperial stout beer... you won’t regret it!!! And respect for the server, he did a great job! Consider this place just 2-3 months. And I need more stout!

Great restaurant with a unique menu in that it specializes in Russian cuisine. The portions are quite large and the food is very delicious. You won't be disappointed and the prices are very reasonable. They even have a piano with live music on the weekends.

This is probably my favorite Russian grocery store in the DC area. Troika has the best prices, as well as selection of products. I get fresh bread here regularly and enjoy a vast selection of jams (get the sea buckthorn jam to add to your tea, it's the best).

Love the place and people working there! They have almost everything the same I could have bought being in a regular, non-fancy Russian Gastronom back in Moscow. They also have multi-tier discount system, check with store personnel:)
Love the ice cream which they already have but wish for Lakomka to come back. Also, please, bring back Trest B tkemali sauce!
