Safeway

I like this Safeway for the variety of items available and its proximity to other places I frequent in the area. The aisles are typically clean and the shelves are mostly organized. I've needed help reaching items in high places (I'm short, so this is a common issue for me), and the staff have helped me without complaint when I've asked for their assistance. The parking lot is rather large with more than enough parking spaces available at different times during the day I've been there. Last year, they added special charging station parking for electric/hybrid vehicles. Admittedly, some days, I wish they had a Safeway Gas station here too for the rest of us, like some other Safeways in the area do.

First time in a SAFEWAY and I was impressed with the layout, the flow and the prices. Even though they should have more private label items. Customer service was very courteous and helpful when asked. I strongly recommend.

This is probably one of the better, if not best Safeway locations in the area.

The store has ample parking and is in an excellent location in Herndon.

The store itself is really well organized and clean. It's also well stoked with everything and even does a great job with themed items at various times of the year (ie. Christmas stuff in December).

The layout of the store is great too, which makes it super easy to find everything. The deli, bakery, etc. are all along the perimeter walls of the store and also well labeled and staffed.

The pharmacy has a friendly and competent pharmacist who works quickly to help you... Even when she's swamped with customers.

There's even a Starbucks inside if you want a coffee during your shopping trip.

If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Ok, I don't normally review grocery stores in my town. But I tell ya... the last few times I've stopped into this Safeway for odds and ends, the customer service has been fantastic - especially from the meat counter team! The last time I was in a few days ago the gentleman behind the counter seasoned me up a few chicken breasts in fajita seasoning when I couldn't find any in the store. He also went to the back to grab fresher ground beef than what was displayed at the counter. And then a different employee personally walked me up to the front of the store to show me where the fresh guacamole was hiding. Finally, the cashier worked some register magic to make sure I was getting the right price when I said I had grabbed the box of taco shells from the 50% discount rack at the rear of the store. Top notch effort all around. And on top of that, the store is clean, and they have some really fun bread options in the cases in the back left of the store. Don't sleep on this Safeway!

24/7 grocery store with plenty of parking and discounts for Club card users and house brands which are less than national brands.The store has a wide selection of groceries, produce, goods from the bakery, a pharmacy. It's worth opening a Club card to save and takes minutes.

Just a really clean, very nicely maintained grocery store.
This one has a Starbucks right inside the front door to the right.
There are deals similar to Giant.

I really hope Safeway and Giant never close because the customer experience and service at both are outstanding.

It was great - nice, friendly environment! In & out super quick! Of course, I was in there shortly after 7:00 am so their morning rush hadn't hit yet. But they had what I needed, Lucerne cottage cheese (4%) . So I'm a happy girl!! I'm very particular about my cottage cheese and Lucerne is the best. So far, I can only find it at Safeway. The cashier who checked me out was really nice & pleasant as well. I know sometimes I'm not awake in the morning so I run on autopilot. The cashier took the time to say good morning and ask about my day. We exchanged pleasantries as I left too.

This store is clean, spacious, and never crowded. The floral displays are always so bright and appealing. Definitely a go-to for fresh, beautiful flowers.

Customer Services was very nice especially the Deli personnel...the store reminds me of. The Kroger in Hampton.Va.loved it............one customer was giving the Lady Associate a hard time but she was so humble and nice...very gracious......blessings

We used to live in VA and this was my favorite place. They had Starbucks and a small place to sit.

Safeway has a lot of great things they are agood grocery store Quality Meats a lot of different kinds of drinks besides soda. Great prices good sales a grocery store you can trust go see try it

Very very nice Neighborhood grocery story. Fresh food and flower shop as well. There is lots of parking as well.

Love the night management there. I think their names are Elena and Manasic. These ladies are very friendly and quite helpful with knowledge of where things are. A lot has changed for the better...

My go-to Safeway in the Herndon/Reston area. I've found that their fruits and veggies are more expensive than other grocery stores, but they have the best deals on cereals and canned goods. Their pastries and baked goods are very high quality and I really like that they have a self checkout area. Other grocery stores have an on-site sushi chef and I wish that Safeway would start doing that.

I've been here before. Always a pleasurable experience. They have stuff my store either don't carry or always out of stock.

Not a terrible place to shop. So far, I haven't had any issue to complain about. But if you want to shop here, try and get the safeway card. It helps beat down some prices.

I like Safeway I find fresh vegetables, meat and more;, i love they closed more late than others markets; and the prices are good.
