Very quaint and small restaurant, but don't let it's size fool you. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Worth the extra 50 steps past the other restaurants. It is super conveniently located across from the parking garage.

Second time here...more amazing this time. The ham salad croissant was so heavenly. Hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The buttery crispy croissant made the sandwich scrumptious... The turkey wrap with blue cheese spread and walnuts was very yummy too. I'll never forget that ham croissant though! 😍 Love the Yorktown location!

The people are really polite. The food is amazing and at an affordable price. The portion size guarantees you won't be hungry leaving. (I ate the other side of the wrap in the picture) I highly recommend this as a lunch stop if you're coming to the shops or even in the area!

Really enjoyed our lunch. I had a turkey wrap with a side of orzo & spinach salad. The service was great and atmosphere okay. Very small eating area inside. Definitely would go there again.

Overall this place is a must try! The food is authentic, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very simple but cozy (4 stars for only 1 restroom shared for both genders, and table space is small for large parties of 4 or more).

Wonderful little place eat near the Yorktown Beach. Sue is really friendly and the home cooked food is great. Lots of Virginia specialties and some international dishes like Spanakopita. I really recommend the biscuit sandwiches (picture). I had the "Jefferson" which is a locally made biscuit with pimento cheese, Virginia ham and just enough tomato to make me feel like I'm also eating veggies. Great food doesn't have to cost a lot and this place is proof. Highly recommended.

We did a quick take-out from here while walking the Riverwalk and loved it. My wife had the quiche and the carrot cake, and raved about both; I had the roast beef wrap and a brownie, and both were delicious. (I regret I cannot remember the names the dishes had on the menu.) The staff was friendly and service was fast, and I look forward to trying them again the next time we visit Yorktown.

Great local bakery. Carrot cake is their forte as you might guess. Many other desserts. Sandwiches are also great.

Got tuna on wheat with side of marinated carrots. Loved the tomato that came on the sandwich. Wish my pecan bar hadn't been so cold though.

Amazing little cafe and bakery with delicious sandwiches, wraps, and salads! Outdoor patio seating was perfect and the staff were so nice! If you're ever in Yorktown, definitely check this place out. Oh, and try the carrot cake!

The employees are always very friendly. I have been living in the area for most of my childhood and my family and I have always enjoyed the delicious menu options.

I had a chicken salad BLT that was fresh, flavorful and well worth the price. For anyone visiting from out of town or any locals that haven't tried it yet, I would make sure to stop by! Carrot Tree is a staple of Yorktown Beach.

Our food was delicious. The atmosphere was quaint and the wait staff were very helpful and courteous.

Went here with my adult daughter. Lovely location. Food was homemade. My croissant sandwich was excellent. Was definitely pricey, but at least food lived up to it.

The food here is so good! If you like carrot cake, you need to get a piece to-go because if you're anything like us, you'll be too full to eat it there. The dill potato salad is also amazing. Their bread is perfectly toasted but still soft and not so thick that it takes away from what's inside the sandwich. We will definitely be back next time we are in Yorktown!

Ordered take out today to enjoy a picnic lunch after a nice walk in Yorktown and everything was delicious. Very impressed with the quality, flavor and portion of food. Never been before so I wanted to try a few different things. I ordered the biscuit with ham and apples on it, a side of potato salad and a scoop of chicken salad. The biscuit was flaky, soft, buttery and the combination of the apple, cheese and ham were wonderful. The potato salad was really well seasoned with dill, the potatoes cooked perfectly and nicely dressed. The chicken salad scoop was very generous and although it looked like it was going to be kind of plain because it appeared to be just chicken and a little mayo, it was really good, nicely seasoned with great simple flavor.

I don't normally write reviews but this place was above and beyond my expectations today, a real unexpected gem with fresh top quality homemade food. I will definitely be back.

Order take out sit along the waterfront and you may even catch the Coleman Bridge opening like I did if you're lucky.

We went here for lunch. The carrot cake was the best part! Excellent recipe and preparation! When the weather is fine, there is outdoor dining available, and the look is old and charming. Indoors is more utilitarian-looking, but it's still cute in its way. It's a pleasant place to grab some reasonably-priced, deli food, and be sure to get a slice of that carrot cake.

Oh my gosh this is a good place to grab a bite. Our wrap was delicious and the loaded bagel our son had was incredible. You should try the carrot salad, we were pleasantly surprised. Oh, you also cannot leave without a piece of their carrot cake. There is a spice in it that really makes the flavor pop. Eat it and see what you think.
