Great place to celebrate! Food was delicious! Sunday was very busy. They moved us out for the next party so eat and run. We had 10 people. Cost was around $460.00 including tip for 10. 8 adults & 2 children

Came here on a Tuesday Night around 6pm. Made reservation and I’m thankful I did because it was busy!!
Service was attentive and prompt. Food was delicious. I ordered the chicken hibachi. The chef was entertaining and pleasant which is always a plus when being seated with strangers. Ordered the peach soju which I was surprised to get a whole bottle of sake which was delicious and had me a bit buzzed in the end. Would recommend and go back!

This is our go-to place. Food and service are excellent. We chose to eat on the dining side because wife does not like the fire.

First time going and I cannot complain! Food was amazing!! Definitely our favorite sushi/hibachi spot in Newport News!

Great dining, appetizers are "appetizer" size. The ingredients are in plain view and looked and tasted really fresh. The balance of flavors in the sushi rolls is perfect. Cheese and mayo are never overpowering the delicate essence of eel and, salmon and yellow fin tuna. The Mochi for dessert may have been locally made. Being accustomed to Japan and Seattle Asian food environment it was a welcome surprise to find this place in Newport News. in 3 adults we consumed 2 sodas, 1 beer, 2 appetizers, 3 rolls, 1 dessert, with tax and 18% tip the total was just at 100$. I am very satisfied. wait staff was awesome.

Typical hibachi experience! The food was EXCELLENT. We went at lunch time for mine and my coworkers birthday - and the portion was great! The service was excellent and quick. The jokes were funny and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Only went once & first time ordering but my sushi roll was amazing! I honestly have not had such unique shrimp tempura as I did eating the ‘Jonathan’. So tasty.

Update 10/16/23: This is now officially my favorite sushi & hibachi in Newport News/Hampton. My other favorite specialty sushi is the ‘Strawberry’! I dine in, order to go at least once a month if not more. Always great quality and good service.

Enjoyed a lunch on the patio here and it was excellent! We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and told there was a small wait. My son loved watching the fish in the tank up front and we were quickly seated after that. Jake was our server and he was attentive, but not overbearing. We ordered edamame as an app and it was so good! Perfectly salted and hot. Our rolls came out beautifully plated (see photo of my White Dragon roll) and tasted just as good. Portion sizes and price point made sense. We will be back!

Went there with a party of 11.. Food was amazing. Chef was very entertaining and fun. Fast service from our waitress. Kid friendly. Drinks we're good

No complaints about this place. Hibachi is always good. I had sushi for the first time the other day and my rolls were delicious. It was so good I forgot to take a picture until I had 2 pieces left. 😀 Birthday cheesecake was super yummy.

We have been here a few times now and enjoy it every time.
Wait staff it polite and timely.
Restraunt and bathrooms are clean.
Show and food and fun and ejoyable.

We lost 200 dollars cash here, the wait staff found it and we were able to get it back no problems. That feels rare to find these days and if I could give more stars because of this I would.

We will definitely be coming back again.

Brought my daughter here for graduation her and the kids really enjoyed it! Hibachi guys were great! Server's not so much.

It was the best! The Chefs was the entertainment. They play different beat with the spatula, gong and sing. It was fun and the food was great. Thank you, my Grandson enjoyed his 9th birthday! One to remember!!

This place is such a treat! Great for a romantic date night. The food is tasteful and cooked right in front of you (hibachi grill). You get a good amount of food. I have visited twice, once I ordered shrimp hibachi with lobster, secondly I ordered shrimp hibachi . I will be returning sometime soon!

Fantastic as always, food was great and our chef was entertaining. Waitress was very nice, always a good time eating here!

My spouse and I tried to do hibachi here months ago but didn't realize reservations were necessary, so we were able to go for our anniversary recently, and it was definitely worth the wait. Our chef was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Our server was a little slow to bring drinks, and we didn't get our salads until we almost had all our food from the grill, but that didn't overshadow the overall experience. The drinks, by the way, were very effective. I'm looking forward to another celebration here.

While visiting for our son's AIT graduation we stopped here for a celebratory lunch. Very funny, caring & friendly staff. Food was amazing! Our chef put on quite the show. Definitely will come back!

We had a lovely visit to Hayashi Sushi. The hibachi show was very fun to watch and the food was cooked very well and tasted fabulous. We also ordered sushi to share and it was nicely prepared and presented in a very visually appealing manner. My only warning is that the hibachi area can get very loud if multiple chefs begin working, so if you have anyone in your party with sensory issues with loud or sudden noise be aware and bring necessary measures to help cope. Otherwise a great time!

This is our go to place for celebration, the only place we all agree on, from 6 year old to Grandma! Absolutely the best, freshest sashimi we've ever had. Owner and all the staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the trip!

Food is dang awesome! Exceptional quality, but top with amazing service. The 2 bartenders/ servers 7-13, amazing! Very friendly, outgoing, and professional! They need a raise and major kudos! Great space!! 👍
