One of my favorite walking adventures. Trails all throughout and marked. Beautiful area year round. Play grounds are well kept with bathrooms near by. Absolutely love the holiday light festival. Autumn foliage does not disappoint.

One of the best parks to come visit in the Hampton Roads area. Well kept up, Park Rangers are visible. Many trials, large playgrounds for the kids can play. Many shelter’s for family gatherings for rent. Paddle boats and John boats are available for fishing. Really enjoyed my time here at this beautiful park. Located near Fort Eustis nice park. During Christmas they offer a light show for the family one of the best around. Did not disappoint. The trials are not handicap friendly but they have more than enough paved road to move around for wheelchairs, walkers, or anyone with mobility issues. Dog friendly, many restrooms around the park.

I took my kids camping here and it was so much fun for my kids and I. They have a really nice playground and the bathrooms are quite nice that are all in walking distance from the campgrounds. I would highly recommend this campground.

We were there for the Falloween Festival. It's a great place for families.
My daughter and her boyfriend dressed in costumes and gave out candy. She's the clown, and he's the creepy scarecrow. They had a blast.

The light show was very nice, the price was quite fair, although it wouldn't be bad if they added an association with a station related to Christmas music.

NN Park is a wonderful family friendly park with a super easy trail. The cute discovery center allows children to get acquainted with the local animals. The bathrooms in the center are very clean. The main trail, 2.6 miles long, is extremely easy to walk. Definitely worth visiting for a nice hike in the woods.

Really nice quiet city park that is surrounded by trees and nature. Dog friendly for campers but make sure you bring proof of rabies vaccine. It's a little nerve-wracking pulling in because the path getting to your site is kind of narrow if you have a larger rig. They have a really nice playground and a nice dock that you can fish off of. Be prepared to catch turtles though because we caught more turtles than fish. They have lots of nice trails that you can go hiking on that are nice and easy. Check out time is noon which is nice because you don't have to hurry out. It's a really enjoyable park if you're looking to relax and do some hiking.

The hiking trails are great and vary in difficult. Very clean and well kept with very low amount of litter. Park Rangers were very friendly. Just recently moved here from Oklahoma and the quality of this park far exceeds most of the ones down there. Will definitely be returning frequently and utilizing the bike trails. The walking bridge across the water was a very nice perk as well.

Absolutely love this park, my go to place. Different things to do for all age groups, hiking, paddle boating, canoeing. Park offers several play grounds and picnic tables/shelters.

We went for the Christmas Lights. It was lots of fun for the kids and with Covid being in the car was best for that season.
They have lots of display and the ride is very enjoyable.
The only thing I wished they had done better was the music. I wished music was linked to the drive. I went to a Christmas Light in Richmond the year before and that made the experience even better.
But it is still a nice experience.

It's a beautiful area with locations for walking, kids friendly, has restrooms, and several picnic areas. It also has plenty of parking spaces.

Absolutely beautiful park with endless possibilities. You can go hiking, biking and even kayaking for $8 an hour. You can also see a variety of wildlife when you come here— from snakes to millipedes and isopods, to ground squirrels and endless turtles, if you’re looking for a place to bring your family or friends to for an eventful day or even just a casual hangout, I definitely recommend visiting Newport News park.

Made an unplanned stop here and found my way onto the "swamp bridge" trail I believe. I thought I was getting into a 2 mile trail but took a turn and ended up doing 4 miles. The trail was well maintained with light traffic and beautiful views. The entire park was quite impressive to drive through and they were setting up for seasonal lights which I'm sure would be really nice.

Heavily wooded campsites, beautiful hiking/biking trails. Reasonable prices for boat rentals & camp sites. Campers were respectful of quiet hours. Bathrooms were ok. Some campers were just rude and left trash that was not cleaned up, but not horribly bad. Showers were hot and good water pressure. Definitely will visit again!

My fitness group works out here three times a week. There are always active people around the trails, some with stroller and others with dogs. The sunrises are beautiful over the water and from the bridge. There is a lot of wildlife too! Great place, highly recommend!
