I really love this place! The one and only! Like taking a walk back in time! So much to see and do! Don’t forget the candy shop! My absolute favourite!

We miss being able to go here more often, but we bought our own Colonial Virginia house in Nelson County called Bon Aire in Wingina.

The Square was a great place for shopping and great eats. Casually walk around and enjoy the shops and restaurants. real laid-back. Free parking and free bus transportation around Colonial Williamsburg Area. So park it and enjoy the whole area.

We enjoyed our visit to Colonial Williamsburg Merchant's Square! It's a handful of shops a short walk from the main parking lot. The crowds are well managed since the road is closed off. It's really peaceful to just sit. We visited at a great time of year too

As well as the rest of the Colonial Williamsburg the merchant square is a must to visit.
Plenty of shops, anything from bookstores, gift stores, clothing, jewelry to bars and coffees. Cozy street, beautifully maintained town with plenty of benches to relax.

I love the shops here. There is a pewter shop that has lovely things, and a great pedestrian walking area.and benches to relax. In the winter there is an ice skating area. There's a selection of restaurants and clothing shops. We went to the Dog Street Pub, it was by far our favorite place. Great beer selection and nice casual ambiance. Highly recommend walking around here if you're in Williamsburg.

Spent alot of time in Precarious Beer Hall. Food, Games, Beer & big projects for sports. Way more children then I expected so bring yours or if you're not thrilled steer clear.
Walked Merchant's Square for an hour or two, great signs to figure out where you are & how to get back, all the buildings look the same after all.

As a resident, it's a tourist chocked full of amazing things. Tea libraries spaces, restaurants, seafood booze excellent walking spaces. Wonderful way to spend a day or a week or if you got the money maybe the rest of your life.

Merchant Square is one of my favorite places in the world! I love going there often with my family and seeing people out with their family, their friends and their dogs! We have some of the best restaurants and stores in this location and the farmers market and Chrisman Markets cannot be beat! I also have my favorites, of course, and can’t recommend highly enough the Cheese Shop! :-).

There are so many cool shops to check out and restaurants to choose from.
There is definitely something for everyone.
My favorites include Blue Talon Bistro, The Fat Canary, The Cheese Shop, the Spice & Tea Shop, Fat Face, and the Scotland shop.

Delightful historical district and shopping area, with a large number of both ancient locations and modern stores, selling a wide variety of both normal and very unusual merchandise. It’s a great place to just walk through, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells. The locals (at least the ones I met) are very friendly, and happy to talk about the history residing in every corner. Visiting at night is also a fun experience, with a number of fun (if kind of corny) ghost tours, and the nearby university is totally worth a tour as well. You can’t see everything on one trip if you tried, so this is a great destination to come back to, either with family or by yourself.

From just strolling the area for a morning or evening walk, to unique shopping opportunities to my best part is the variety in restaurants and eateries... one of my favorite s in the area is Salad works.. Has a parking garage ohh Henry Street near Saladworks and plenty of 2 hour free parking lots or pay by mobile after that or take a shuttle or bus from the Williamsbug Information center.
Now it also has seasonal attractions like parades, fireworks, Ice skating rink(winter of course🤣🤣) wine bar.. Theater for plays ...and less than a few steps from the Historical William & Mary College... definitely an area to visit if down for one of their games...or a parent day visit...

Pleasant atmosphere to get us in the Christmas spirit. Nice shops. Plenty of places to get a bite to eat. Don't try to park downtown on a busy day; park at the Visitor Center & take the shuttle bus.

What a wonderful place. It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s a Paradise for people who like American History. I didn’t buy tickets but just admired the houses, the Governor’s Palace,
watched the horse ride and many beautiful historical sites. I was surprised that I needed tickets to enter the garden. I really didn’t appreciate how unfriendly the person was that told me I couldn’t come in. I asked her why tickers since it was always free. She took it as arguing. Not very welcoming. I live in Williamsburg since 1991 and it was free. We ate at one of the taverns. I enjoyed the live performance. Friendly employees. All together it’s a beautiful place. Parking is not free.
