AMAZING! Jean Laffite House made my trip even better. This was our second time visiting New Orleans, we have fell in love with the city and wanted to stay in a location that was closer to the French quarter that would allow us to walk there and have parking that would not break the bank. Thankfully, Jean Lafitte house does offer parking if you call in advance, and the location is great. The hotel is beautiful, very old house giving you that New Orleans feel. When we first arrived it was around 2:00 a.m. and the codes that they provided did not work, thankfully, the overnight person that was working provided us with updated codes immediately. When we arrived we were on the third floor, we noticed immediately that the room did not have air conditioning that was working. Again. The overnight person was amazing. He came right out and attempted to fix it but was not able to and quickly placed us into an upgraded room downstairs. He originally told us that we would need to move out of that room the next day as somebody else was coming and had already booked the room but ultimately they were able to move the other individuals reservation and allow us to stay the entire time without an up charge, they also comped our parking for the difficulties we had. I did let them know that normally this would have been a frustrating experience, but the level of service they provided made the minor inconveniences insignificant. I could not recommend this place more, we will definitely be staying here next time we go to New Orleans.

Great location- close enough to everything, but far enough to be away from crowds. Our room was right on the courtyard, but still felt private. All the self-service check-in worked seamlessly. We needed a battery for the smoke/CO2 alarm while we were there and the staff was great help. The only two things I can suggest is to have more lamps/lights in the room- the overhead lights and ceiling fan combination cause a little flickering from the shadow of the fan blades, and I wish we could have used the hot tub, but we didn't know how to operate it and no one was there to ask and no clear signage on use. (It was December, but we're used to much colder Decembers in NYC) .

This is a very hands off hotel, so know that coming in. All phone interactions with the staff were wonderful and they were accommodating with the check-in paperwork, since we arrived late and booked the trip last minute. I would definitely stay here again!

The location is great. Off the main path, so it’s quiet enough, and close enough to not have to drive everywhere. The room was clean, had extra blankets and towels, and was secure.

If you’re a light sleeper I recommend bringing ear plugs or listening to music/tv. It’s a loud city and the older buildings aren’t sound proof.

Haven’t even stayed yet and all ready blow away… fast response to emails… Matt D. Is taking extra steps to insure that my mom 70th and my 40th bday will be extra special. Was highly recommended from a family friend who has stayed with them several times. These touches are the reason we should all ALWAY SUPPORT LOCAL FAMILY OWNED!!! I’m so looking forward to our 5 day stay! Will post again after my stay. I’m simply positive we won’t be disappointed for even a second!

The location is great and reception was super nice. Felt very safe with the lock at the front. Room was pretty clean and we had everything we needed.

Soooo convenient to walking down Bourbon Street but just far enough to be quieter. The style of this building is like a Mediterranean riad with rooms laid around an open central courtyard with a plunge pool. Definitely old (with all that goes along with that). Stairs everywhere so do not come here with a walker or wheelchair. Staff is super-friendly. We checked but our room didn't have a ghost LOL Had a great balcony deck (we had one of the loft rooms street-side). Carpet was so old that it was sunfaded on one third but seemed clean enough for just staying the one night. We'll be back.

Great location with a room that was technically a suite. Updated with modern amenities but still had the charm of a 100 plus year old building.
Service was on point.

The room was clean and quaint with a lot of character. If you want a place that’s clean and quiet to sleep with good value for your money, this is the place to stay. It was about a ten min walking distance from the craziness of bourbon street and five min from Frenchman street.
Also, I left my charm bracelet in the room and they went through the trouble mailing it back to me. WITH THE TRACKING NUMBER. Staff is willing to go the extra mile for you. Thank you Rachel!

Great and cozy old apartment style rooms, like a mini home away, walking distance to everything on the French District and far enough away to get a good quite nights sleep. The rooms are old but really nice and inviting and the pool is perfect to dip in to cool off. 10-10 the place I will stay every visit.

Most affordable place to stay. Right outside of Bourbon St & next to the great Frenchman St. The staff are all super friendly & kind. Our 1BR hotel was bigger/better than expected. Super cheap $ wise. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked this room not realizing it is normally a time share, so the luxury of a stove was nice, even though we didn't make use of it. Room overall was very nice. The manager Jason was cool as the other side the pillow. If you want that real heart of Nola feel and not some generic hotel this is a gem. Plus, short walk to everywhere you want to be.

I have stayed at this place twice now, this time as part of a self-guided ghost tour of New Orleans with my son who was down to visit. If you are interested in hauntings and ghost stories, most any of the old lodgings in New Orleans or the French Quarter will fit the bill, but this establishment is certainly a step above most! I won't get in to a history lesson here but a quick internet search or brief chat with the proprietors will convince you that this is one of the more haunted locations in the area. With that said, it is also a charming inn with a wonderful atmosphere and a friendly staff that seems to revel in going above and beyond. Being several hundred years old, it would be silly to compare this establishment to a high-end chain hotel, but then again, it would also be silly to go to one of those chains and expect the atmosphere and experience that you'll get here! As a bonus, the Jean Lafitte house is situated right on the edge of the French Quarter and only steps away from Bourbon Street, so you can skip a little of the hustle and bustle while still being right near the hot spots! I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be staying there on my next overnight trip to New Orleans!

😁 excellent. Joshua was very friendly I felt I had known him forever. I also felt Wendy was the coolest person ever when it came to talking to her about my hotel needs. It felt like a historical Air b and b and it gave us that hospitality that some corporate hotels fail to deliver. I will get heartache when thinking of the French Quarter because of the latiffe house and Out of 3 different hotels we stayed at , this one was my favorite :)

Had a great stay here. Location could be more perfect. French quarter but far enough away from the loud partying that it stays nice and quiet. Lovely character and charm. My interactions with the staff were few but all very positive and helpful. A little problem with people smoking outside our widows and the smell coming through pretty strongly, but could be avoided by staying on a higher floor I imagine. Noise travels very easily in the courtyard so maybe bring earplugs or noise cancelling headphones. I only had an issue one night I was there and it was a weekend... go figure. :-)
Great hotel! 100% would stay there again. Thanks for a great stay!

Couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. Loved the room. Loved the location. Jason was the absolute best. He recommended a local favorite for breakfast called Horn's and many other suggestions ranging from best live music bars, best sports bar for college football, dinner suggestions, you name it. He even gave me the heads up on the fastest cab company to call (United). And he was right they were fast. Again, great stay and will definitely be back soon. A++++++

This place was so so beautiful has everything you need and the people are wounderful. Pool was just getting done so we didn't get to swim as it hadn't been cleaned yet but the concrete had just drulyed . It was a wounderful stay and so beautiful we will be back for sure. Was scared of the bed at first with how hard it was but give it a chance it was comfortable way more so then I first thought we stayed in #9 and I just can't say enought about it.

Perfect location! Close to all of the wonderful night life on Frenchman Street. The accommodations are great. Wonderful beds, fully stocked kitchen, exposed brick walls, and a balcony! This was our fifth year returning. Jason, on site manager, will answer any questions about the area!
