Salon D NOLA Hair ~ Nail Bar ~ Day Spa

My experience with the staff of Salon D was absolutely outstanding. I scheduled several services--eyelash tint, pedicure, manicure and updo--in preparation for an evening wedding of a relative. Dianna tinted my eyelashes, and Shanna was in the middle of doing my pedicure when I received a text message at 2.30pm that photos were scheduled at the wedding site at 4pm (2 hours before the actual wedding). That meant that once the pedicure was finished, Danielle had approximately a half hour to work on my hair. Danielle consulted with me and looked at a photo of my dress then gave me a beautiful updo in record time, while Shanna worked on my manicure. I was out the door by 3:20 and made it back in time to change and show up for the photos looking gorgeous. I received many compliments on my hair and overall look and I owe that to the expertise and professionalism of Dianna, Shanna, and Danielle. I highly recommend Salon D and look forward to the next time I am in NOLA when I will definitely make an appointment there.

I've been a client for years and Diana was my very first call when I heard the Stay at Home order was being lifted.
I appreciate the lengths she's going to, in order to keep her salon spotless and keep her clients safe. My hair looks terrific and I'm grateful to find such a reliable and consistent stylist.

Alton was hands down amazing! My hair turned out to be perfection and there was a lot of it to handle. (20+ inches and curly) he did the perfect blow out, with a half up for my wedding, with extensions! I was a nervous wreck, and he couldn't have handled it better. Glasses of wine and gently pulling my clutched purse from my grasp during makeup even though I wasn't in his chair. Very sweet and even though my first time here, I felt comfortable due to his friendly demeanor.

Alyssa did a fantastic job on my makeup even with a bit of a rush due to another client. Based on pictures I brought in, she managed to perfect the look I wanted; including perfectly applied lashes. I've been to other salons and found them uncomfortable, but not here! They lasted well through the night, as did my makeup with the somewhat humid weather. I never had to reapply, even with the small batch of lipstick she supplied to keep my look up for photos!

Alton made the day though! Not all heroes wear capes, but some do wield a blow dryer and iron!

Dianna was amazing . I was in town for a Professional Ballroom Dance competition. She was able to fit me in ! She was personable , professional and I got the tan exactly the way I wanted and needed! She also was professional and matter about my attire for my tan which as a male wanting to get a spray tan can be a problem with tanning places . However that was not the case . The salon as a whole was fantastic!!! I couldn’t me more happy or comfortable with the service I received !!! I will be using them again when I am in town !

Dianna is the best hairstylist in New Orleans! She always does an amazing job on my cut and color. She’s a pro at Keratin treatments as well. Her salon is beautiful, clean and comfortable. She cares deeply about her customers. I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Diana is fantastic! She’s been working tirelessly to accommodate clients while following all of the new social distancing guidelines. My wife and I make it a point to make appointments here every time we visit NOLA. They are so great and accommodating, so much so that my wife went a year between haircuts just so that she could go to Diana. Appointments are easy to make when we know we’ll be visiting, and we’re always super happy when we leave. Just got my haircut and beard cleaned up, and waiting for my wife to get hers done, then we’ll make an appointment for next year before we leave!

My daughter and I got our hair done here and it turned out fantastic!!! My makeup never looked better!! Alton did amazing on my stubborn hair and Daisy made my daughter feel like a princess. Alyssa was so gentle with my makeup I have no complaint what so ever! I wish I could give y'all 6 stars!

Alton is AMAZING! I had grown my hair out for about a year so I could put it up for my destination wedding in New Orleans (I'm from Florida). I didn't need any help styling it for my wedding, but I knew I didn't want to go on my honeymoon with the long hair I'd grown. Well... Alton to the rescue! I scheduled an appointment for right after my wedding (literally 3 hours later LOL). I didn't request a particular stylist, but I was SO lucky to have gotten in Alton's chair. I found him to be fun, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He gave me a super cute cut and I have received TONS of compliments already. The salon itself is super cute and the whole staff was wonderful. I'm actually a stylist myself (25 years) and I highly recommend the salon and of course Alton ❤.

Came here for hair and makeup for my wedding day and was extremely happy with results. I told Diana I was nervous because in don’t usually wear any makeup and she made me look natural and beautiful. Wedding pictures came out great and so did my hair! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone having a special event. Thank you Diana!

After the stress and anxiety that covid has brought on it was so nice to get my hair done by such a passionate fun loving individual. Dianna really listened to what I wanted but also needed. After she finished I felt rejuvenated and overall0 better about myself. Self care is so important especially during these trying times. Would highly recommend to any and everyone. Will definitely be going back to see Dianna.

The Salon is inviting and very clean. Dianna is an excellent and experienced hair dresser who knows how to handle many types of hair and styles. I have brown/blonde hair that only needs highlights. She has been the only person so far that has understood how to highlight my hair and make it look natural. I appreciate that a lot.

Dianna is amazing. She came in 2 hrs early to do my hair and make up for a very important event. She did an awesome job in a very timely fashion. And she let me get dressed at her place. I highly recommend her to anyone.

Absolutely a gem. This salon is an oasis when you walk in you know you are going to be taken care of and feel your most beautiful. The level of professionalism and creativity is beyond anything I have ever experienced. My hair has never looked and felt so amazing. Love love love!

And for me, she guided me into a haircut I had wanted for a long time, but was too scared to do. (Shaved most of my hair off! I feel so daring now!) She shaped my hair which made my face look thinner, which is always a plus!
Dianna cares very much about the natural products she uses and is concerned about the effects on her clients.

I called last minute to have a touch up on my eyelash extensions & Amber took me on the spot! She fixed the areas of my lashes that were missing and added to the fullness of the existing lashes. They honestly looked amazing (better than they have ever looked)

Very nice upscale nail salon with an amazing staff. Visiting from out of town with my daughters ages 7&9. The staff was awesome with them. Thanks to Brandy, Liz and Grace we had a nice relaxing afternoon and our nails look awesome!

Great for guys too! Patrick will unleash his hair-cutting superpowers on your head so that you come out of the shop feeling like a million bucks! He's got an eagle's eye for detail, an excellent sense of what style is best for you, and on top of that, he gives a WICKED scalp massage. Both Patrick and Diana, the owner, will treat you with respect and courtesy beyond what is required. This is definitely a place where one-time clients will no doubt leave happy and satisfied, but regulars will get the best experience!
