SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown/Canal Street

I stayed here Nov 12 3023 weekend. I was in town for a wedding! Love love loved it. I was in walking distance of EVERYTHING! This was close enough but far enough from tourists spots. First let me say service here was absolutely fantastic! I was able to check in early, parking attendant was helpful when I had other friends in town come visit, and atmosphere was great. Rooms were great. I’d stay here over and over again. The lady working the front desk was very helpful! I HIGHLY recommend this location!

Decent hotel for the price and the location. Just 5 minutes walk to the downtown. Parking at an additional price ($20/day). Breakfast included (even though it was not mentioned on their website) and it was very good. Friendly staff. Decent rooms. Be careful with the bathroom doors if you have children because the doors are so sliding and the children might get hurt their fingers. Also, there was a slight musky smell when we entered the room and the lights were flickering. Don’t miss their roof top, you can get a nice view.

Fantastic access to trolley on Canal st. Bar in lobby is nice. Roof top near is gorgeous. Parking is a little difficult for over hight vehicles like ours. Rooms have great views. However lots of homeless encampment under the bridge next to hotel.

The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast has a wonderful variety.

The room... ours has a broken hide a bed, the floor in the shower is very slippery, the TV is difficult to operate, and there is only sheer curtains, which the city lights are bright enough for a night light. You can easily hear people in the hallway as well as sirens l all night long. We were on the 4th floor, river side of the hotel. The other side is the freeway.

Otherwise, it's a nice room. Big walk in shower, mini fridge, and is clean.

It's a mile walk to the East end of canal street and North to the park. It's an easy walk, fairly level. Lots of shops, restaurants, and bars.

We stayed 7 nights and we had an amazing time. The rooms were clean and functional, but the star of this hotel is definitely the employees. We received amazing service and hospitality from every employee we encountered but specifically Latonya and Franny went above and beyond to make our stay over the top. Thank you for such a wonderful experience !

I loved my stay here! Hotel was very clean, beds were comfy, rooftop had amazing views. RJ was very knowledgeable on the city/gave us great food recommendations! This was a great location to catch the street car. Breakfast was really good as well. I will stay here again.

Latanya checked us in much earlier than our scheduled arrival and was as sweet and kind as can be! Southern Charm at its finest! Breakfast was good -exactly as advertised, for the price it was perfect for us. Room was very large and very clean, attendant came very other day with fresh towels. Location was about a mile walk to the French Quarter, street car stops out front , but we walked it. EXCELLENT STAY!

We stayed here for 4 nights over NYE. This hotel was clean our rooms were clean. The staff was great. The breakfast was way above average for a Marriott. The bar was cool and has a DJ every Thursday with street bbq. We would definitely stay again when in Nola.

We did not stay here. We stumbled on it looking for a restaurant. We saw the bar and stopped in. Found out there was a rooftop bar and we returned the next night. The view was astounding! Our Bartender, Shawn, was excellent and his drinks were top knotch!

Location was fairly sketch ngl. The price was amazing and so was the room so it was worth it. They had a free breakfast which was convenient, but it did close at 9 each day which I felt was a bit early.

I loved it. Spacious room, free continental bfast, only 15min walk from Bourbon st, adequately bustling. Great value for money

The paid parking lot associated with the hotel being 1.5 blocks away is the only detraction from an otherwise excellent 5 night stay.

The stay at SpringHill was none short of amazing from our hostess Lawanda Barnes Wafer whom made all of our reservations from the staff of Springhill. The bellhop( didn't get his name) showed nothing but hospitality from the time we arrived until the time we left. The room was nothing short of comfortable and the view from our room was everything. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and different than others. It was 19 of us and they accommodated us all with nothing but kindness and made us feel as if were at home. After we left and boarded the train back to Memphis our hostess Lawanda received a call that RM# 206 had left their keys in the drawer of our room. SpringHill went above and beyond to get those keys back to Memphis to us. We Thank You So Much SpringHill Canal For Everything. Our Home Away From Home When In New Orleans!!!!

Though this hotel is a distance from Bourbon Street, it is worth the stay. It's just a few blocks from the streetcar stop, and the $3 daily fare was reasonable for a two-minute ride to Bourbon Street where we dined and walked. Most of the negative reviews regard parking accommodations. Joe, our valet guy, was great. The cost for the valet is $39.99 daily, but all liability is on the valet service provider. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The manager kindly accommodated our slightly early arrival. Francesca at the front desk was also so kind and helpful. The room was clean with modern decor, and the restroom was spacious. The complimentary breakfast was more continental though scrambled eggs and sausage patties were available. Though the biscuits were cold, there were toasters for the bagels. Our only suggestion would be to put ower signage on the building so visitors can more easily identify the hotel. (We passed it twice not seeing that we had arrived.) We look forward to booking our next NOLA visit.

This hotel was great from the time we pulled up from valet service to housekeeping. The Complimentary breakfast was so delicious, so much variety to choose from, everything was great. Will definitely be my go to hotel when I visit New Orleans again

We really enjoyed our stay! There were a few minor issues with the room but we figured it all out. Overall very nice room. Taeshay at the front desk made the stay very pleasant. Her customer service skills are phenomenal and I’d only return because of her hospitality!

The bartender with the beard, didn’t even get his name, was rude and condescending twice, once to myself and once to my husband, so we didn’t spend much time there.

The location was close to many restaurants and to bourbon street.

Kendrick the valet serviceman was so friendly and helpful. Such wonderful customer service. Decent bfast nice location very spacious room comfortable pillows and bed. I would most definitely stay again.
Needs a pool for kids. But otherwise it was really nice. Shout out to Kendrick the Valet guy (sorry if misspelled) thanks for a great experience

Latanya had checked myself and my family of 5 in almost 7 hours early. This was above and beyond our expectations as we showed up that early just to store our luggage so we could walk around for the day in New Orleans. And we ended up with our room and were able to shower and freshen up before our day on the town! Rooms were nice and the rooftop patio is incredible. Best view of New Orleans.

Very nice space. Enjoy the roof top view. Staff were very nice. Couldn't complain! At night viewing the city from the roof top is a site to see if you're from a small town. It was definitely a different experience for me coming from NYC. But a city in a south is a whole different feel and atmosphere then Most places I'm used to in the northeast.

I am thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The rooms look fantastic, they are roomy and well furnished. The hotel lobby area is very artistic and the artwork throughout the hotel is great. The location is also within walking distance of the night life. The roof view from the 14th floor is pretty spectacular, there is a bar up there that is currently being remodeled and once it is done it is done it will be a spot you can’t miss.
