The Goat

THE Goth Bar of NOLA. We went to different places but if ya'll looking for solid goth times this is the answer. Similar to DNA Lounge in SF, Lovecrafts in Portland, and random other places I've been. Find a good night and escape the Quarter a bit.

Smaller venue with a great atmosphere, the bar tender was incredible, the stage area was small but allowed for a really intimate experience watching the bands play. One of the only venues that books metal and hardcore shows so if your goal is to listen to metal and meet like minded people this is your place!

Cool place, first time there for a show seeing some friends playing. Staff seemed friendly , interior decor was gothic and haunting with webs across the ceiling and mixed amongst were old chandeliers to look old and with flaming bulbs , area with booths and tables, long bar , separate room in front of stage area from rest of bar , no smoking, only canned beer and limited variety. Shots of choices were available. Cool load in on side for bands to set up. Really no complaints on my part. Theme of the place is non Christian which adds to the dark decor. I won't detail in full but It was up my alley on decorating. Looked like a choice or so of food across and other clubs up and down the road. Road side parking everywhere. Neighborhood area . I'll be going back for sure. I know long review.

Fair warning if you’re uncomfortable with the occult don’t go. If that’s your vibe you’re gonna have an amazing time. Drinks are great and the live music is even better

Rad place! Bartender was an absolute babe and sweetheart. Came in from Vegas and treated me super well. Saturday around 11pn

great decor, goats all around, superb service, but was a very meh event, later learned the events are nothing special but that it's a cool location for metal bands

This venu was a great end to halloween, my wife and I are in the city down from Ottawa Canada and the vibe hit just right. The Goat-raiser cocktail was absolutely delish.

I’ve been to this bar several times recently & each time, I have had the BEST TIME!!! Couldn’t get better service than there - bartenders so friendly & fast. Never waited for my drink to go empty. Plus the bands….my real favorites. The coolest music venue with not a bad view in the house. Highly recommend! I can see why it’s called THE GOAT!

The bar staff go above and beyond with service and drink quality. The event on Saturday had great DJs. I had a fun Gothy time at The Goat.

Just moved down the street from the Goat a few months ago and this bar has been one of the most accommodating, warm places I've frequented. Lots of great music passes through this place but even on the nights there's nothing going on, the bartenders are great and good music is playing.

Immaculate goth/punk vibes, excellent drink specials and prices, friendly staff. Awesome place to catch a show!

My band played a show here on August 27th. Not only did the staff treat us like royalty, they went above and beyond for the touring band that played with us. Also, they've got the best sound system in the neighborhood. Can't wait to play here again.

Holy goth place! Wow! It's a magically dark place for dark souls. I'm sad I just finally made it, but at least now I know. The problem for me is location location location! It's far. I can't take myself by broom because I don't drink and fly.
If you have a dark heart, check this place out!

I'm definitely not cool enough to review The Goat, but that's never stopped me before! Came here for a Dark Arts Market, and have been back several times. Weirdest scene in New Orleans and that's saying a lot! And during Covid times, too! From the amazing Bridgett Tunnel to bizarre costume contests, the Goat is a memorable ride, even when you're the only one there!

Very VERY interesting decor. I enjoyed the live bands that played there on my visit. If you are open minded, give this place a go!

Wonderful ! Friendly service in a bad ass bar. Dick Jones was there serving up her hot balls. DJ Sliver stop by. My Boi Matt Checkie doing his thing. Ah the GOAT. It should not be missed.
