The best restaurant in Cookeville to celebrate your Valentine's Day sweetheart! The violinist was a very special treat! That you Mauricio's for a fabulous Valentine's experience. If only I could give you 10 stars! You deserve it!

Food was great! My wife had their featured dish, a four cheese stuffed pork loin, perfectly prepared, so tender with a special sauce that made it so flavorful. I had their broccoli and chicken with fettuccine noodles and Alfredo sauce and the chicken was very tender, not overdone... Very good... but I wish I'd have ordered the pork loin. We've been there twice now, the first time we had wine with our meal so this time we tried a mixed drink, and again my wife's was better... She had Mauricio margarita that was so good! She did opt to have the rim dipped in sugar vs. salt.
The charm on the inside with antique photos and decor certainly helped too. Not inexpensive, but you certainly get what you pay for... Excellence.

My husband and I went tonight for the first time for our wedding anniversary, and it was amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful, the decor and character of the house are great eye candy as well as conversation starters. Our server AMANDA was very sweet and gave us great service! We enjoyed our food very much, infact my husband might be more in love with the lobster ravioli than me 😂 We absolutely enjoyed our visit. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be going again. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Five stars!😊

I loved this little tucked away place! The food was delicious! Someone once told me that food made with love (for those being fed or for the love of preparing and cooking the meal) can be tasted through the food. It's prepared with happiness and purpose not just to serve the masses. This place definitely has that!!! The atmosphere was refreshingly intimate, cozy and home-like while also being classy and stylish.

food was amazing. setting was also amazing. off the beaten path in a very romantic historic house. server had several great suggestions and we went with ribeye and fettuccine Alfredo. absolutely delicious , hope to make a return trip soon

For a place like Tennessee to have a little slice of italy such as this, it was very refreshing. The food and service was handled with care with taste to match. The music helped fill the air and while not live, it was very nice, not overbearing, so conversations and thoughts could continue uninterrupted. In particular, the Lobster Bisque was by far my favorite dish i ate.

We absolutely love everything about Mauricio’s! The food is incredible - always full of flavor, with the service being top tier, all served up in quaint cozy atmosphere.

They really serve you up there. Salad and bread comes with your entree. We ordered calamari and caprese as an app. Then we had lobster ravioli and chicken parm and two bottles of wine. Honestly is about 10 percent more expensive than Olive Garden and 100 percent better food

Had lunch delivered to my work place so I don’t have any experience with the service but the food was great. A little pricey but fair for the amount of food you get.

The food is ALWAYS AMAZING! I love this place for special celebrations or just lunch with the girls during the week. I HIGHLY recommend the Seafood Maurico 👍👍❤❤. This also the place I have found for Fresh Veal dishes too YUMMY!!

The service is also wonderful...next you go ..ask to be seated with Whitney she's Great !😊

First things first, you Need a reservation! I wish Google maps was better about letting you know that reservations are required, I did find it in additional details eventually but who looks there when trying to make a quick decision about dinner? Not this kid.

But, if you can get in, do it. The food was fantastic, the marinara and alfredo sauces were flavorful but not overpowering, everything (except the focaccia bread and dip) was delicious, and can choose a smaller portion if you want to.

The restaurant is a house! Or is it the house is a restaurant? Either way, it's quaint, and presents a nice atmosphere. The service was great. Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and are more than happy to interact with tables they're not responsible for.

Also notable, military discount for the service member's main meal.

Family visiting from out of state wanted to treat my husband and I to a nice italian dinner. I knew exactly where we needed to go. I made a reservation yesterday and explained one member of our party had mobility issues. Upon our arrival we were promptly seated in a very nice room which was easy to traverse. Our waite staff, Chelsea, was attentive, polite and had a smile. The food was presented as a gift....appealing to the eye and taste buds. Have a special occasion or just want to treat someone to a special location. This is the place.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! My father is from New York and Italian, and I cant wait to bring him here when he comes to visit me. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is so charming, as it's in a renovated house, that has so many small touches that make it a hidden gem and the staff go out of their way to make it an experience to remember. They don't do take out so they can focus on the diners that come in. If youd like to go, definitely make reservations because the locals know how special this place is!

Ps. If you like Bruschetta, theirs is the best I have ever had. Also, I've included a picture of a cocktail as it's the only photo I really took, but they only have those on special occasions like Valentine's Day. They serve wine for every day occasions.

The only negative is the parking. There are spots on the street around it, but that's about it, so if it's a busy night, expect a bit of a walk. It's worth it though!

Been in the area a couple of months. This was the best meal we have had. The ambiance is fantastic. The food was awesome, and our server Andrew did a fantastic job.

This restaurant is extra special to me as it is where my husband took me on our first date. Mauricio's is a beautiful 1900's home made into a restaurant. The restaurant has a lovely outside veranda where guest may eat and each room inside is unique with high ceilings and 30's, 40's feel. They also play music from the 30's and 40's during your dining experience. 3 of the dining rooms have fireplaces. Italian food is excellent and service is always wonderful. Bread with olive oil and parmesan is served before meal. Guest bathrooms available and wheelchair friendly entrance to restaurant. If you want a unique dining experience that is romantic, delicious, and fun then you MUST eat here. Be sure to reserve your seating. Cannot recommend enough!

We were traveling and hoping for a non-fast food option for dinner. The online reviews looked good, so we took a chance and stopped by. They were kind to accommodate us (make a reservation!) and the experience was exceptional.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and the food will be talked about for a long time. I loved how they paced our meal, made us feel relaxed after the hustle of traveling and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. I upgraded to the best caesar salad of my life (which is random, but also, it was beautiful and perfect) and thoroughly enjoyed more lobster ravioli than I should have eaten. It was just SO GOOD. Everyone in our small party had an incredible meal and an absolutely lovely evening at Mauricio's!

Excellent food!! Our waitress was very pleasant and fast bringing us our drinks, entrees and dessert. Definitely we will be back.

Everytime I have come here, it is always consistent. The atmosphere is so relaxing. The food is always delicious! We LOVE Chelsea! We will not have anyone else serve us but her. She takes such great care of us, EVERY TIME. She is always so friendly and attentive and helpful! My family has dietary restrictions and she is so accommodating. She always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She is a breath of fresh air! It is rare you find someone that truly loves their job and she does! You see it in her eyes. She has a passion for what she does and rightfully so! She is amazing! Go see her!

Every single bite was magnificent. I enjoyed: toasted ravioli appetizer, lobster ravioli in garlic cream, salad with fresh bread, and crème brûlée -- the photo of the empty bowl was the crème brûlée 😄
