Amazing hidden gem! Incredible staff & super fun atmosphere! They've got live music (sometimes) and all the simultaneous vibes of being tucked away in the woods, having drinks on the back deck, or stepping inside to the greatest dive bar around. You'll do yourself a disservice if you don't stop!!

Classic west Austin dive cold beer friendly folks and if you want to hear real Austin music, artists show up and play. Heard great two groups last night. Great lyrics by a performer and the other group was fantastic.

A true Austin experience. Dry Creek Cafe is right by Mount Bonnell, hidden away on a residential road. Cheap beer, cash only and good conversation with locals and friends.

Absolutely spend a day drinking can beer at this iconic bar off Mt. Bonnel Road. Cash only! And bring your cans back!

The owners are so wonderful and friendly! Make sure to have cash on you though. We happened on this place by chance and instantly fell in love. It's got a great patio to hang out and chill with friends and have a drink. The food and drink is inexpensive but there are quite a few options to choose from. Definitely recommend!

This place is fantastic! The own was friendly, and the patrons were welcoming and warm. The upstairs back deck was a fun spot to watch the sunset, and the vinyl juckbox playing classic country made the moment perfect!

Charm from another time. This hidden gem reminds me of simpler times; like back in High school, when all you needed to end a long week, was a cold beer tucked inside your dad's old coozie, and solid group of friends. There's an old jukebox, filled with classic outlaw country tracks, accompanied by the sole pool table, on the first floor. Upstairs is a quiet covered hall filled with folding chairs and tables, and a deck that overs looks that old dry creek.

It's not a cafe. There's no creek. There's also no boat launch. There's a jukebox with only pre-1990's country, Lone Star in a can, and a upstairs deck that's a little crooked. If you're reading Google reviews of bars, you're probably not the kind of person that will like this place. If you're writing Google reviews, it's because you want that 1tb of Google Drive space for free, and you like having Johnny Bond on the jukebox and drinking Lone Stars on a crooked deck.

Was great in the late 1960's and early 1970's
What a place to enjoy college friends, drink beer
and watch the stars!
Judging from the picture it has not changed much
Good memories!

Went out withTommy Wester on a Sunday. He played his guitar and sang. Absolutely a cozy and most welcoming establishment. Brenda is a sweetheart. The regular patrons were very hospitable and with a Texas downhome feel. A Texas gem.

Found this spot one Mother's Day on a country cruise and fell in love with the simplicity. Drank a few shiners and played a game of pool while listening to Willie. My kind of place!

Took my 24 year old daughter her when visiting from California. Its just as I remember from 1972, except there were Zero (0) houses on Mount Bonnell or the River. The only thing missing was Martha

Beer bar. Old school. The way Austin used to be. 1 pool table, a juke box loaded with old country. Awesome.
