Sweet Basil Café of Springfield

Immediately when we walked in it felt cozy and very comfortable. The atmosphere is very welcoming and food is incredible. I paid 18 dollars for an omlette and i got the delicious monstrosity shown below. My wife got nutella stuffed french toast and she is a very picky and slow eater. Ive never seen her devour anything the way she did that. Billie was amazing always making sure we were taken care of. 12/10 would dine again

Great food and service! French toast, omelets, and mozzarella sticks were all amazing.

However, I do not recommend the Huevos Rancheros. The pork was bland like it had been boiled and was definitely thawed. 🫠

I absolutely love this place. My partner and I go often. We have yet to order a dish that wasn’t up to par. Prices are extremely reasonable for the portions you receive. Has a wide variety of options on the menu. The employees are always kind and respectful. It is clean and lastly the location is away from the hustle and bustle of Springfield.

Another great place, you definitely get your money worth. The food I had was great, I had the Chicken and Waffles 🧇. The other pic is Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries.

This is a great restaurant for someone with a good appetite. The portions are huge and the food is great. Our server, Gage was such a nice young man. He was so attentive to his customers and extremely friendly. I think this restaurant is lucky to have him as an employee. I highly recommend this restaurant. They actually fresh squeeze their orange juice! Give it a try.

The portion sizes here are a little wild. When you get a breakfast skillet, they offer toast or pancakes on the side. The "side pancakes" could easily be their own meal.

I also included a picture of my daughter with her pancake meal ordered from the kid's menu. There was zero chance that she was going to eat any more than 20% of what she was given. Without exaggeration, my 4 kids could have split one meal and been totally content. We'll probably do that in the future.

It was a Saturday morning when we visited. We had a party of 9, and it was pretty busy, so understandably, there was a bit of a wait. In general though, the service was good, and we'll likely be back.

Portions were large and good! Great for you to take home and eat later. Definitely get your money’s worth. Waitress was also very nice and fast with the orders.

Their menu is freaking huge. Massive portions and super tasty. Just like my old lady!

I had a blast at breakfast the other day and I had to share the great food and service we had at this restaurant. I was visiting in town and had a craving for gluten free pancakes, based on earlier reviews we decided to give them a try. I am SO glad we did!! The walls were hand painted very well and the décor was very inviting. The menu was extensive with a nice selection of items to choose from. Our waitress was friendly and helped us decide what to order. The booth we were sitting in was clean and my friend said the coffee tasted fresh. Our food didn't take long to arrive and it was cooked perfect as ordered. The size of the pancakes were very generous and tasted amazing. Everything tasted fresh and I had plenty to take home for meal #2. My friend said my gluten free pancakes tasted better than the regular pancakes, which is hard to accomplish because usually GF food doesn't taste as good as the "normal thing" They didn't rush us out and it was nice that they explained on the bill the difference between the cash and credit card total. Next time we plan on also grabbing a loaf of banana bread from the great big display case they have at the front. This is a must stop!

Gage was a wonderful server, had amazing recommendations and a wonderful table manner. Very polite and considerate, did a wonderful job taking care of us and telling us about a few local events. We come every now and again but he definitely made this trip stand out. Thank you so much!

Went for lunch while shopping nearby. Not very busy, lots of open tables. Had ordered a couple of meals and they brought out one incorrect meal. We mentioned it and our server insisted on replacing it with something else. As any good service would do. Huge portions of food. The burgers fries looked light by our server's opinion, so she brought us a whole plate of fries Great flavors, great service. Recommend

WoW!!!!!!!!!! This place has tons of options to choose from breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert! First of all it is extremely clean and very nice inside. The outdoor patio is very nice addition to an already amazing place. On to the food, the food is very very good and the serving sizes of the meals are HUGE. There is also a healthy option salads and more. I highly recommend this place to EVERYBODY, so go get yourselves some Sweet Basil Cafe now!!

I would give this place a thousand stars if I could!! First of all, our server Kristy, was awesome!! She was so nice and accommodating. Truly made the experience so much better!
But the food!! It was out of this world! Large portions, huge selection and everything we had was delicious. We will definitely be coming back here, and bringing friends!!!

Passing through, our family with young children were looking for a breakfast stop with gluten free options. The restaurant offers gluten free pancakes and waffles. Egg is one of the ingredients. No gluten free toast was available. I had off the bone ham steak and my wife had oatmeal with strawberries and bananas. The food portions were HUGE. There is a $3 upcharge for gluten-free. One stack (4) of gluten-free pancakes was split between three kids (all under 9) and we had plenty of leftovers. The pancakes were so large that each kid only had half of a pancake and some of it was not finished. Out of the four pancakes we are going home with two and a half. Each pancake is huge and plate sized. The off the bone ham steak was delicious. The bowl of oatmeal was large and overflowing with all of the fruit toppings. We were definitely pleased with the portion sizes. The price of each dish reflected the size of the meals. The coffee was pretty average and I'll probably skip it next time. Overall, we are very pleased with the breakfast. Our server Bart, was very friendly and helpful as we navigated our allergen list.

Absolutely fabulous!!!! It is great food, huge portions and friendly staff! Lots of seating options for big or small tables/parties. Make sure you go hungry!

Been a couple times been great food. Wife loves the strawberry stuffed french toast. Portions are pretty good. Breakfast food is definitely the best.

My new fave. They have EVERYTHING, so whatever your family is craving, they will be able to find something. Clear out some room in your fridge for leftovers, because you WILL have boxes. The only thing I have finished here is the Fajita salad. My favorite item so far is the jambalaya omelette. Be advised that the avocado mash contains raw onions.

Friendly service, food came surprisingly fast and everything was delicious. Maybe a touch pricey but they have a huge menu of about anything you can think of and portions are very generous!

Gage was an excellent host, very attentive to details made me feel very comfortable and at ease with ordering. I will be returning with another group of friends I hope Gage will be my waiter. Kudos to you Gage thank you so much!
