Called for an award letter for my aunt to do some paperwork. Sherry was so happy, kind and helpful. She had everything she needed from me already and was able to get the letter out in the mail in just a couple minutes time. Thanks again for your help!

I’ve never had less than first class, professional treatment in all my dealings with the employees of SERS!

I've both called and been at SRS and talked with Aaron about my retirement. He couldn't have been more helpful. I also attended a retirement class at SRS and picked up several pointers. Everyone I've dealt with there has been courteous and professional.

I have had the great pleasure dealing with two individuals in the State of Illinois Aetna retirement system. The first one, Sarah H., In Tennessee and the second one Keyshia, in Mississippi, have both gone way out of there way to straighten out a simple prescription that my local CVS Pharmacy, on Center Place, Greeley, Colorado, can not or will not get to me yesterday when my doctor, herself, called it in because I need to start it immediately. Four hours and 18 minutes later, 18 minutes after CVS closed, I get a message that it will NOT be filled because they have to order it to be delivered NEXT WEEK. CVS Greeley a
Said it would be ready at 5:56. Then 5:57 pm , with the store closing at 6:00 pm. Then the message at 6:18 pm that it was not available until next week.. surprisingly, this is the second time they have pulled this trick in just over two months. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVEN TRYING TO USE THIS Pharmacy. If you want to call it that.
Sarah and Keyshia, Aetna State of Illinois Retired Employees, both deserve s pat on the back for their efforts in straightening out the Greeley, Colorado, CVS Non-PHARMACY !

They have always been great at helping me. When I had to go on disability they helped me with any problems. And now that I'm retired they have been awesome. Getting my papers together was a disaster for me, but I stopped in and they had me organized and the papers turned in in a short period of time. Just stop in and ask for help. They're great!

I have visited SERS twice. I was treated with respect, received answers to all my questions and found the personnel very helpful. Also I have always received a return call when I left message. They are few and we are many.

The communications I have had with several of the employees that work within these walls has been nothing but helpful in me getting what I needed done to retire from the employment with the State of IL, countless emails and phone calls back and forth , me asking stupid questions, them giving professional answers back. I believe these people need a raise for what they go through!

I attended the retirement planning sessions for at least three years in their STEPS TO RETIREMENT program. I did not expect to come out early with injuries from working my job, but staff at SERS assisted with paperwork... including the option for temporary disability prior to retirement from state employment. Though the disability rep at the department where I worked failed to produce a proper signature, SERS corrected her error to make for a softer landing out the back door! Now ask about IWCC😐😑

Most of the time, you get good service, but it is the employees responsibility to ensure your records are correct. Do not wait until the last year to check your retirement totals....! And never go in asking for assistance at 4:15 pm!!!

Called for details of my disability claim and although the rep was courteous, I still got no conclusive answer about any forthcoming payment. I have been off work 2 months and no income for almost 6 weeks. Documentation complete. Come on people!

After my mom died, I was notified she owed $500 for death overpayment. I Went to the office, spent more than 30 minutes waiting - although there was no one in the waiting room except me, I met with a woman who was obviously distracted. She informed me that she couldn’t take a check, but offered no other options. I returned the next day with cash and was informed that they do not take cash! After 10 minutes and 2 other people getting involved the problem was finally resolved. Seriously, if this simple problem causes this much confusion, either the training is severely lacking or the office is just flat out incompetent.

How was your experience with your retirement processing…..Don’t know how to rate them ….Why are they so slow with processing retirements applications it’s terrible and some of the reps are so rude and careless no sympathy for people livelihood

Sherry on the phone was incredibly unhelpful. I called to talk about my options with the funds in my SERS account and she told me that they would not give me an appointment because I was no longer an employee, that they only meet with people who are about to retire, and that she wouldn’t give me any information because by the time I retire (2063), the world may end. Sherry, I hope you get to retire before the world ends.
