Wild Oats Bakery & Café

Traveling with a colleague who has dietary restrictions- this place was a gold mine! They were THRILLED bybthe options. I was thrilled with my Chutney Chicken Salad sandwich! They atmosphere was bright and spacious, yet had a great community vibe! Love!

Wild Oats is great. They have a great variety of items like soups and sandwiches, but their baked goods are amazing.
We got a selection of cupcakes, a lemon bar, and the star of the show, a homemade Swiss roll. So good!!

I ordered 3 different vegan/gf whoopie pies! SO good. The gf granola has been excellent as well. Would love to go back and try more goodies! So great to have so many GF and DF options!

Wow, what can I say? Wild Oats has so many yummy options!
We timed our visit for mid afternoon when they mark down some of their baked goods. We got some Pecan Sandies and Everything cookies. They were very large and very flavorful.

Wild Oats is very large with a bakery, prepared food and seating area.

They have sandwiches, wraps and paninis, $10.95-$12.95. They have many varieties of soups and prepared meals.

All the employees I observed were friendly and remained on task.

I will come back to Wild Oats when I am in the area. Next time I will try their bread and a whoopie pie.

Don’t stop here if you have little willpower! 😂 Everything in the bakery case looks in need of taste testing. We stuck to healthier fare, of which there are LOTS of options, and enjoyed sandwiches and wraps. The seating area can accommodate big families or groups of friends. The menu options for healthy food are delicious, and include options for vegetarians or gluten-free palates. There is a great selection of Maine themed items for gifting or taking home, drinks, coffee, pastries, cupcakes, cakes, pies, mousse, cookies, snacks … and on and on 😍

8/2/2021 Updated for the new location. I thought it might be risky for Wild Oats to move from the heart of downtown to a larger spot near the Brunswick Airport but it seems that it was a great move for them. If anything they are able to accomodate more customers faster than before. There's lots of space in the new location and they have worked hard to make it possible to find what you want and get through the checkout line. They have an online order site that can further minimize contact. At lunch time the checkout line can get long and social distancing is not possible. At least for now I'd wear a mask at the busier times of the day. The food is excellent and my wife and I shared a BLT that was the best.

Stopped for a great cinnamon roll and coffee. This is a true local place with terrific, reasonably priced food. I've included several pictures from the cases. Everything looks good.

Cafeteria style stations of pies, made to order, coffee and cupcakes, breads, soups, and sweets. They literally have one of everything here and it all looks delicious. Go in and pick what you would like from the various stations and grab your silverware, pay, then have a seat. I really enjoyed the maple sausage and apple quiche. The mint chocolate cupcake may be the best cupcake I’ve ever had. We want to go back for the soup bar. All of them smell amazing.

This is serious, for years I have been craving food, good food, quality ingredients cooked with love and compassion. Not just for the flavor and fame of being the best, but also for the well being of the eater. Thank you wild oats, you have brought real food back. Please spread all over the nation and show the USA real food is still within reach, and at reasonable prices.

We love Wild Oats! They have everything, and it's all fresh & local. Sandwiches, soups, and drinks are delicious. We always bring home a few bags of their granola too!

Awesome place! I thought because of all the cars in the parking lot on a Sunday that there would be a wait.. wrong! The cafe is so spacious, wasn’t even an issue. The food is great and the building is really cool! Will be going back often!

Wild Oats is a staple of Brunswick, I have been coming here for 20+ years and would highly recommend it. Food is great, vibe is great, and it’s a nice place to sit and get some work done. 10/10 would recommend

Tons of food options for lunch! They have an amazing deli with all fresh ingredients. The espresso bar was a great touch as well to grab your latte!

It’s advertised as ‘all hand-made from scratch’ baking. All that care in preparation translates into one fine product - Impressive taste and freshness. All this goodness is a bit pricey, but it’s money well spent and your taste buds will be grateful.

Service is always great at Wild Oats. Everything they make is incredible and great quality. It’s truly amazing to see the vast array of options they have for all different patrons, no matter your dietary restrictions (or lack there of). I am vegan and have never been disappointed with their vegan choices and don’t feel like I’m missing out. For gluten free folks, all vegan items are also always made gluten free.

Great place to go for your cheat day. There are so many pastries to choose from that it's overwhelming. Their pastrychefs are the best.

We showed up just 30 minutes before close expecting to only be able to do a quick grab and go. Everyone was extremely friendly and there was still tons of selection left.

We opted for a few cookies. Hopefully we can come back for lunch sometime soon. The cookies were phenomenal. The Nutella was my favorite.

What a delight! We were visiting from out of town and it was such a treat to visit Wild Oats! From the delicious food, refreshing drinks (loved the smoothie!) to the amazing gifts - it was one of the highlights of our trip! I’m gluten-free and I was blown away by the selection. We also adore that they are a family business; it’s certainly something special!
