Taste of Maine Restaurant

Visited Taste of Maine around 12pm on a Sunday - a great choice! We were seated right away, and was met with such friendly service! Service was overall very fast & attentive.

We ordered the World’s Largest Lobster Roll, which came with two slices of watermelon, French fries, and a pickle. While the sides were just okay, the lobster roll itself was phenomenal! It was MASSIVE. Two feet of packed lobster. We also ordered the bread pudding and the featured pie, which was a pineapple pie with coconut shavings on top. Super tasty!!

Definitely recommend this restaurant - great service, great views, great food!

Lobster stew was so full of tail and claw meat. Lobster and crab (Mixed) roll was amazing.. Aunt got the lazy man’s lobster and couldn’t even finish it ( that’s how much lobster it was). I wish I got the server’s name (sept 1st at around 2) she was super friendly and attentive!

We stopped in because of the giant lobster on top of the building. Great ploy to pull guests in. Lots of dining room space inside and out. Good view of the water. The food came out quickly and we had good service. Everything was tasty.

On a Diamond tour bus tour of 45. Diamond Tours also had other tour from other parts of the country. The staff was incredible. Most of our group had lobster. The staff was incredibly helpful to us teaching us how to crack open the shells.

Firts time visiting and we were not dissapointed. The atmosphere is awesome. We choose outdoor seating because the views are breathtaking.
The food was delicious and our server Danny was amazing. Super fun and answered all our questions.
We tried the famous longest lobster roll and we loved it. The clam chowder was also so tastefull.
We will be going back again when we visit Maine next year!

Home of the World’s Longest Lobster roll pretty much says it all. The beast is two feet long. But the restaurant offers more than that: a very kitsch experience overlooking a beautiful river. The menu is actually pretty extensive and portions are large. And you can’t miss the giant lobster on the roof. We had a really fun time.

I didn't get photos of our meal. We were too busy enjoying the food and the view. I do not like lobster but The lobster macaroni & cheese is blended so well that I tried some of the lobster dish and it's not over powering the Mac & cheese. Amazing how it tasted. All of their pasta dishes are amazing. They have THE VERY best fries in Maine, even cold they crunch and are still delicious. The left over of everything is still delicious the next day, especially pasta. No matter what you try, you will be impressed. Staff and atmosphere are awesome and there's a beautiful scenic view. They also have patio dining with even better views.

Mom and I stopped in for lunch and it was perfect. Literally had the best Chicken Alfredo of my life! The potato skins were amazing, and Jamie our server was great. He made sure we had everything and was super quick!! All around great place.

Fun place with lots of Swag to look at. Service is amazing drinks are great! We got there for an early dinner and there was no problem getting seated. I believe if you got here at a proper dinner time you might have to wait a little bit. Great views.

We spent a week in the area and this was our group’s favorite night of food. We had the seafood casserole, stuffed scallops, “young at heart” baked haddock and shrimp. my brother in law raved about the Lobster red ale.

This place is truly unique and one of a kind. The decor is interesting and historic. The lobster roll is an experience, two foot in length and comprised of nearly six pounds of the freshest Maine lobster. Our server Noah was personable and relaxed. Don't hesitate, this place is worth the trip. Definitely a bucket list item! Incredible "Wow!" factor. WILL BE BACK.

My wife and I showed up around 12:30 pm. We were seated immediately on the deck with a beautiful view of the water. We went there for one thing only. The worlds largest lobster roll. We got half cold and half hot & buttered.

It did not disappoint! It was the freshest lobster meat I’ve had in a restaurant ever! I’m not a lobster roll guy but my wife loves them.

The roll was home made and really toasted well. It was hollowed out like a canoe. They pack that meat all the way down and it is over flowing on the top. Hands down worth every penny. We will be back for sure.

Oh I almost forgot about our waitress, Megan. She was good, but it seemed like she was being pulled in ten directions at once. No complaints regarding her customer service.

After a 13 month deployment and seeing this lobster roll on Facebook almost every day I had to make the 5hr trip to see for myself what it was all about....OMG it was so good! I ordered the warm lobster roll. It was so fresh and clean. That roll is 2 feet long which is about 4 regular lobster rolls. It has 1.5 pounds of meat that is 24oz for $160. And I did finish the whole thing but a small portion of the roll. One more thing, I had to get the sweet tooth something too, a strawberry shortcake with ice cream. Some people might ask is it worth it? I say HELL YA! People who know me know I LOVE my lobster. I could eat it almost every day. The lobster stew in the pictures was really flavorful I thought it would be a bit thicker but I never have a lobster stew before so I did not know what to go by. It is definitely worth trying. Last but not least I posted their current menu. There really is a lot to choose from and try. I would totally go back and take passengers too. P.S. had to get a selfie with Mr. Lobster himself...lol

The lobster bisque is heavenly. The drinks are large and well made. The burger... well what's to be said... juicy, cooked perfectly, flavorful and hugh. Sweet potato fries were cooked within an inch of their perfect state. I love this place. Bartender was very welcoming and has a great attitude. 5 of 5 forks.

Sat with a window view of the water, great waiter, was very friendly. Didn't feel like the tables were crowded like at other places. We ordered our favorite, fried scallops and fried clam baskets. They were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the novelty giant lobster roll and it was also perfectly made. It was about the size of 5 average length, overstuffed, lobster rolls. We brought home food for family. Great experience.

First timers. Fish chowder to start was the best I’ve eaten. Husband got steamers and I had Lobster Mac & Cheese, delicious. Atmosphere, waitress, service was top notch. Can’t wait to go back

Such a fun and scenic place! A little pricey but worth it at least once. Loved the live piano music.

Prompt service. Great food. The desserts. Do NOT skip dessert. Very fun atmosphere. Would have loved to be there during daylight. We were there during closing and they were not pushy about us leaving. Even stopped to help us take a picture by their large statue people.

Saw the place as I was driving between Boothbay and Brunswick on an overnight get away pulled in on a whim at 6:30pm on a Friday got seated next to a large party (it’s holiday time so likely a staff party) loved the decor there was live music and he was good. The waiter was attentive despite also taking care of the large party beside us. We had mozzarella sticks to start they were yummy though nothing special. I had the boiled lobster it was perfect and sweet. He had the prime rib cooked perfect medium. We were very pleased and would return again.

Worth the drive wherever you are! From decor to food, this place comes highly recommended! Anything you order is going to be extremely delicious, but I'm biased towards the lobster casserole! Very kid friendly and a family favorite we come back to again and again! Recommend asking for a table by the windows - you never know what you might see!
