I adopted Luna Mae from having spent her first 6 months with the rest of her litter in a Florida kill shelter. She is exquisite; so shy and timid but jacked and strong and smart and fast and deliriously happy. Thanks to Dr. Cowan and his stellar staff, top shelf facility, and great vibes, Luna Mae continues to thrive... and she LOVES going to the vet!

Sorry this is soooo long… but it all started before becoming a patient!

We just became patients at your practice and are very happy! We recently lost one of our baby girls. A beautiful lilac point Siamese! The vet we previously went to was going to put her down when she was diagnosed with kidney disease. We got a 2nd then 3rd opinion and we then continued quality of life care and had her for 1 1/2 years longer than we would have if we weren’t persistent. Our experience with your practice was when I asked around for help with Sassy and a friend of mine messaged me and introduced us to Shana who was a life saver and helped us with Sassy the last few days of Sassy’s life! With no hesitation and with open arms(not even knowing anything about her). Long story short after our girl passed we were not sending her sister back to our original vet. And Shana referred us to Brunswick Vet. So we made an appointment for Gabbie because she was having a difficult time without her biological sister.

My first impression was positive! We arrived and they immediately brought us into a room(we didn’t stay in lobby) that happened the 2nd time as well. (To avoid being around dogs?) maybe? It looks like they have specific rooms for cats and dogs? I really like that. It’s clean and welcoming. The room is colorful and it’s not just an exam room.

I want to thank everyone there! So far you’ve been caring and want the best for Gabbie!! We are also very happy to have our original Vet. back too!! Thank you so much!!! Keep it up!!

Went here for the first time with our new rescue dog. All the staff was helpful. Saw Dr. Cowan - he was great with our dog and answered all our questions. I hope not to need to see them often, but will be going here when needed.

Very friendly staff, compassionate and real people! All my cats have been going here for many years - whether an annual check-up, a health concern or the gut-wrenching decisions, Dr. Parthum and all the staff are there for us. And they are always on time!

The office staff listened to my concerns and was able to schedule my dog ASAP, as a new patient. Everyone was kind and friendly. Dr Cowen was great and took the time to educate me on the issue. Thank you all!

We are SO fortunate to have a place like the Bruswick Veterinary Clinic so close. When you go in with your fur baby...they care for him/her AS MUCH as you do! They are kind, empathetic, helpful and patient. We have a Berner and he means SO MUCH to us..there is NO PLACE else we would take him! I love my Bernese Mountain Dog..and he is with me 24/7. His care is of the upmost importance to me...and everyone at the Brunswick Veterinary Clinic feels the same.

Yesterday my Mother and I made the hardest choice to ever make to put down our beloved Angie. She was in my life since I was 7 years old and had the greatest experience of having to grow up with her. She was the best girl and always had infinite love to give during her 16 years. I’ve never been more heart broken in my life but Dr. Hayhurst and Shana made the experience as peaceful as it could have been. The two of them were incredibly professional, caring, and so kind. My mother and I felt so supported during one of the most difficult times in our life. I would recommend to anyone who has a pet to take them to Brunswick Veterinary Clinic. Thank you to Dr. Hayhurst, Shana, and to all of the staff for all you do every single day.

We adopted a new puppy and his little stomach was upset. I called this clinic the next morning in distress - luckily, they just happened to have a cancellation and squeezed us in. Everyone was kind and professional, from the person who answered the phone to the actual vet we ended up seeing (sorry I can’t remember his name, he was outstanding) and the tech who explained the fees and offered additional advice and explanations. Our little nervous puppy trusted them, received his shot without incident, and, as it turns out - loves Cheerios as a special treat. Fees were more than reasonable, and we left feeling heard and that our new family member was in great hands.

So happy to have found our veterinary clinic right away, and if we could give 10 stars we would. Thank you!

Dr. Molly Berberich DVM was very kind and professional. She and her assistant handled our cat well. I recommend the B.V.C.

We lost our sweet girl Hope on Friday. Dr. Parthum had been caring for her for years and taking excellent care of her as she did her late sister Sheila and her lab brother Toby. Hope would have been 19 next month so I knew it would happen eventually but Dr. Parthum helped us do what was best for Hope in a very humane and peaceful experience. I highly recommend her clinic. If I ever get another fur baby I will most definitely be back. We have had three losses since 2017. Thank you for caring for my babies and treating them so very well.

As a dog breeder, trainer and competitor the vet clinic is a critical component. As not only do I rely on there ability to diagnose and treat my dogs but also that of my clients based on my referral. Thank you 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

I can’t express the gratitude I feel to the staff and to Dr. Parthum for seeing my girl and me on such short notice. Although the outcome was not what any family wants to hear, their kindness and empathy shines through.

Murray seriously injured his leg on the second day of our vacation. The team at Brunswick Veterinary Clinic saw him same day of my call and provided prompt, thorough, compassionate service with clear explanations and follow through with Murray’s home vet. I couldn’t have asked for better care for my tail-wagging family member!

I have been in perhaps 6 or 8 clinics in the past few years. I also see way too many vet shows, with teens glued to this genre. Brunswick VET Clinic's team has made this clinic into a cutting- edge facility. At the open house, we saw so much to impress. Dental room, OR, tech area, all very well laid out. Better still they have friendly and knowledgeable techs. We were super impressed.

I have a new to me cat and would not even adopt her without asking Dr. Parthum to be her vet. I was so thankful she agreed and she took her right in for an exam and a special diet prescription. This is my fourth pet that I’ve taken here. I would not have her go anywhere else. Sierra loved the staff there as much as I do. I look forward to a long relationship with the best provider in Maine. They take amazing care of their patients and clients alike! Thank you.

We just relocated to Harpswell from Turner and our top priority was finding a new veterinary home for our two dogs. I was thrilled to see that BVC is still independently owned (as was our previous vet office). This makes such a difference from the quality of service you get from a corporate owned office. Both veterinary technicians, Phoebe and Melissa, were absolutely delightful during our initial appointment for Gunnar, and even more importantly provided me with lots of helpful pet sitting resources (another challenging task that comes with moving). The check out process was done in our room (some very smart person really thought about the usual logistics that are involved during a waiting room checkout when trying to unwind a leash from around your legs, unzip your wallet to pay, and get the calendar open to schedule the next appointment because there's another dog in the waiting room who just needs to be sniffed). So glad to be supporting a locally owned, independent business who clearly have the interests of the animals over the interests of a national corporation.

They really care about your pets and understand how much we love them.

I brought my dog Rosie, who is reactive to other dogs and men. They were great at making sure it was an easy walk in and out to make her comfortable. Dr. Parthum and Grace were great with her and so sweet. She has a couple small lumps I was worried about and they didn't hesitate to take a sample and explain what was found and what our next steps should be. Quick to call back with test results so we can get her on the mend. Very happy to have found them!

It’s been a long span since we’ve had a pet and we chose to find a new veterinary practice. This place is lovely, love having information at my fingertips on the app. The staff and vets are super friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.
