I went to Once Upon a Child today to get rid of some things that my daughter doesn’t use. I have sold there in the past and I honestly wasn’t too impressed. I wasn’t expecting to receive much but was hoping to get rid of the majority of her things. I shop there all the time but every time I’ve sold it was not really a great experience and I honestly felt like it was just enough to get items I shopped around there for. After today, I am SO impressed with what I received and the items that were taken off my hands. From the second I walked in, the staff was welcoming and you could tell the manager was making sure each employee was stationed at the appropriate place (ie: registers, floor, and inventory/sorting clothes/items). It is a holiday weekend and you could tell she really wanted to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. When I dropped off my items, 3 people were ahead of me and it still only took 45 minutes! With these employees working, I will come back every time just given how efficient and worthwhile my trip was since I came from Illinois. Thanks for making it such a better selling experience for me! 5/5 stars and definitely returning!

Great selection, but get there early! This place gets crazy bit the clothes are super reasonable and loved everything there.

I drove over 30 minutes to check this location out and it was totally worth it! This is hands down the best kids consignment store that I’ve been to. I brought my clothes in for them to buy, and the staff was super informative and friendly. They had a really good, fast system for buying and selling. The store was super clean, the clothes were extremely organized by color, size, type of clothing, etc. They had a great selection of everything and nothing felt picked over. I could have bought the baby I’m expecting and my five year old a whole wardrobe! I got a ton of clothes for an amazing price. I think this location in particular has clothing for much more reasonably priced compared to other similar stores. I will always make the drive to this store from now on! I look forward to buying and sell even more in the future. Good job on keeping up such a nice store.

I had such a great experience today. The store was so busy with a ton of buys. I dropped mine off and ran an errand. When I returned, I shopped around a little and found some black socks for my boys, but was looking for them in navy blue. Ella checked me out and I asked her if they had any in navy and she said that she thought there might have been a shipment of socks and she would go look in the back. The store was so busy and all of the employees were working so hard, so for her to take time and check the back for me was definitely going above and beyond. She found navy socks and I bought all of them. Thank you Ella for helping me today, I really appreciate it!

I came in with a over 140 items today. Left with a VERY happy offer!
I even got my kids a few items from the store. Store is always very clean and organized. You can always find what you are looking for. The prices are AMAZING!
Looking forward to coming back. The 30 minute drive is so worth it

Genuinely awesome experience at the Once Upon A Child in Kenosha. The store was clean. The racks of clothes were very well organized. The employees were all very kind and bubbly. I will absolutely be back. Even with the cost of inflation, I can afford to get nice things for my niece and nephews.

I LOVE Once Upon a Child. The staff is very welcoming, and always greets everyone who walks in even if they are busy! I take my son's clothing there, get a good price for most of what I brought, and then I usually turn around and spend that money in the store!!!

There is no way any child in this town should have to go without being dressed appropriate. This store is the place to shop for almost brand new clothing items, shoes, boots, slippers, toys and so much more at unbelievable prices.

I feel bad that people have so many negative reviews. The owners are honest hardworking people who love their job and love the people who come into their store. I have been there several times, and have had nothing less than a wonderful experience. What negative reviews aren't saying is that when you sell Items they do pay cash yes, but also if you use it as in store credit you also get 10% off what you buy that same day (usable only once). It meets beyond my expectations. My only wish is that it was bigger so they were able to have larger items like furniture, etc.

I love this place !! My three year old as well. Fondly known as the "kids store " we come here often. Huge perk when you live so close. Always friendly staff that know me by name. There is always something new and exciting to see. The prices are great
and the store is always clean and kept well. Organized and easy to find sizes I buy all if my kids stuff here. I would highly recommend this store to any parent looking to save money!

P.s. Mallory the store owner always brightens my day when she chats and asks me about my kids.

the only friendly location I've encountered. really a huge difference from the other stores I've been. they didn't offer me much but I didn't expect much from my rummage sale leftovers. I didn't have time to shop, but the store appeared clean and organized not overly cluttered.

It's a great place to buy second hand clothes for little ones. Huge variety and most of the stuff is decently priced. You definitely don't get a lot of money when selling with them, but it's better than getting nothing or storing un-used stuff around the house. I'd say if each item was just $1 less than what they have it priced at, I'd probably buy 10x more. Either way, I'm glad to have the store in town as an additional option.

What a wonderful little find! This place has quality clothes for cheap and they buy back certain high quality used items. Would highly recommend.

I love this store! They have a great selection of clothes, shoes, and other child paraphilia. Their prices are amazing. I don't know if my children would have any clothes if not for Once Upon a Child. I love getting quality clothing for a great price! The ladies at the checkout are always super friendly and helpful. The store is clean, open, and bright.

I brought some stuff from my toddler to sell and was not disappointed. While I waited for them to sort the clothes I had brought, I had the chance to to pick other stuff for him and I was happy with the variety of clothes they have. The location is very clean and organized. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I would come back here and I recommend to friends as well.

I cannot believe i am seeing anything less than 5 stars for this store. I believe that everything is priced just right, sometimes even better than what you'd get at any thrift/resale shop. Not only is the clothing clean and free of any tears, stains, etc., the store alone is spotless!

I have nothing but great things to say about this store.

I have been a regular shopper since December 2018. The staff takes the time to greet you as you walk in, the manger is wonderful and they answer any question that you have Pronto! Every time i stop in, they are going through tons of clothing/toys and there are ALWAYS new clothes on the racks.

I really enjoy all the different events they have, including the coat sale, Halloween costume sale and 10 for $10 bodysuits! As if this wasn't enough to get you in the store, they also have an exclusive new parents club (if you are expecting or know someone who is definitely stop in and ask about it).
And don't forget to check those shoe bins, you'd be surprised of the amount of brand new/almost new shoes they get in.

Even though this is a franchise, it is a wonderfully ran family business and I absolutely love how involved they are in our community!!

The store is small but they fit a lot of great finds into it. I’ve found good quality clothes at reasonable prices for all of my kids each time I’ve gone there. I’ve even found great deals on leotards and winter boots. I’ve been able to sell some items here as well which is awesome. Staff have also been friendly when I’ve visited.

I have only been to this store a handful of times, but every time I have been here, it’s been a wonderful experience. My kids have been there to see Santa and the Grinch and had a great time. I have purchased and sold items here which were both super convenient! The staff has always been welcoming and friendly. I have already recommended that friends and family shop here. I will most definitely be returning.

Awesome kids place! Very clean, very organized. Used kids clothing, toys, shoes, electronics in perfect condition with VERY reasonable prices. Some brand new toys and school supplies. Easy to find what you need! You can also sell your perfect conditioned used kids supplies. Great place! The best I've seen so far!
