If you happen to visit the New York Historical Society, Storico located inside the New York Historical Society Building is a convenient place to have a simple lunch. Service is prompt, and the tables are well spaced out. We had their "I"ll Have What She's Having" menu. The Hot Pastrami Ruben Sandwich and Matzo Ball Soup were very decent and value for money. Reservations are recommended as the cafe can get crowded during lunch time.

A real opportunity to go through an experience of flavors that is unique in the New York outlook. The chef's ability to express himself through such interesting combinations of ingredients and extract happiness onto your plate is extraordinary. For us the biggest star was the creamy polenta which is a must if you attend.

Amazing lunch and service at Storico! So thrilled to see the new menu and addition of the outdoor seating. Fresh, seasonal flavors!

We were visiting the New York Historical Society to see the Jewish Deli exhibition, and stop here for a Lunch. As former residents of New York City, we had enjoyed their Cuisine many times in the past. The Waitstaff were pleasant and helpful, and all the Foods were absolutely delicious! Consider the NYCHS Museum & Storico Restaurant both as "must-do" places!

Our meal was absolutely delicious! The picture shown is of our appetizer which was homemade flatbread with Delicata, Pepitas, arugula and Manchego. The entire meal was absolutely superb and I had the opportunity to chat with the new chef who is incredibly talented. the service could not have been better! I wish they were open 6 days a week!!

We stopped in for a light dinner after visiting the museum. We had the most delicious ricotta gnocchi which our delightful server told us was a new dish on the menu. That and everything else we had was delicious, and the service was great.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Pricey. But worth it. Kevin served us and was just the nicest guy. Bagel and lox is delicious and the chicken parm. Order the Harlem blue beer 👍🏽

I was blown away by this restaurant and I’m picky (having worked front and back of house). The food is excellent, most of it farm-to-table style healthy and imaginative. The braised oxtail tagliatelle is great (though pricey at $26, and I’d like to see it elevated with a good pappardelle instead). The sticky toffee pudding is great (it would want to be fur $14 - that’s steep, please make it bigger). The Autumn panazella ($18) is lovely also a bit on the small side for the price, it should be dinner sized for vegetarians, and when the ingredients are not expensive, you can afford to be more generous (this restaurant should take a leaf from the “find out what people want and give them lots of it” school). Ask for the brilliant celery root purée side ($9) with crackers as an appetizer. It’s luscious. The only drawback is the setting. It does close early (8pm) so the lighting is more of a cafeteria-like lunching-lady setting. Drop the lights and bring in candles and get on the Seated app for more traffic at night. It was oddly empty on a Friday night when a place with this quality of food - despite the prices - should be full.

This was my favorite restaurant in NYC. Seriously. I came here spontaneously for lunch after my visit to the Historical Society (go!) and loved every moment. So much so that I stayed for 1.5 hours - as a solo diner. The waiter was so sweet; had one of the BEST cocktails with actual lavender in it; and the food was delicious. The environment is calm, cool, and quiet. I'd even call it elegant. The decor is lovely. You just can't be in a hurry. I was fueled up enough and rested afterwards to brave the natural history museum afterwards across the street. This is a real treat. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I was so surprised at how delicious everything was here! This has become one of my favorite restaurants.
I know previous reviews have said the staff was rude but that was not my experience at all! Everyone was so nice and courteous to us and we had a really enjoyable experience.
First off, the drinks were amazing and beautifully presented.
We went to dinner and picked out a few things to eat. My favorite appetizer was definitely the tuna tartare. My boyfriend really like the carmelized onion tart but if you are not a blue cheese fan I would skip.
For entree I got the octopus and my bf got the homemade campanelle. I would highly recommend the campanelle!! Literally the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. The octopus was great but I have had better octopus before. I definitely want to come back and try other entrees on the menu!
For dessert we got tiramisu and pavlova. Both delicious and yummy!! Can’t complain. I have actually been recommending this restaurant to all my friends to try! You won’t regret it

Easily the cutest restaurant atmosphere on the UWS, and amazing brunch! (My only wish is that their pancakes came with a gf option!) will be back!

Hats off to the chef! Best shrimp scampi I've ever had. Incredible sweet potato soup. Chicken meatballs were absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS. Salads that made me actually excited to eat salad. I'll be back for sure!

We had dinner here after visiting the American Museum of Natural History. We had reservations and our table was ready for us. The drinks we had were unique and very well made. The food was outstanding as was the service. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. There is something for everyone's taste. We had the tenderloin which was perfectly cooked. Had a hard time deciding whether to get the fish or meat because both looked so good.

Wonderful food and exceptional service. We went here with family and friends after getting married at city hall. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming - they brought us some prosecco and comped our dishes as the married couple. Beyond the service we had some delicious salads, fantastic mains (the chicken was my favorite) and decent desserts. Great spot in the Central Park / museum area for a slightly upscale lunch.

We stopped by here on a recent Sunday when we were touring Central Park. We had make reservations which was a good choice. We were quickly seated and the brunch menu looked really good. The restaurant looks really nice and although it is 1 space it is definately not loud or inconvenient. Food came out quickly and it was delicious. Good flavours and portion. After a coffee to finish things up we were ready to hit Central Park again. Great place for lunch / brunch with good service!

I went here after a Friday evening visit to the New York Historical Society. We didn't have a reservation but got right in. The space is stunning. It's perfectly decorated. Very, very beautiful. The food was great too. We kind of over did it with the ordering and got appetizers, pastas, a side, and dessert, but everything I tasted was very good. They have a great wine selection too. I will definitely be returning.

This was an exceptional experience!!! The food was prepared, just so, with an abundance of flavors. I had the organic chicken with potatoes cooked in duck fat. For dessert my husband truly enjoyed the made from scratch cannoli's. It was nothing short of a true culinary experience!!!
