West Coast Cafe

We had dinner here after reading some positive reviews. We would never have walked in just from walking past as it doesn't look much from the outside or even inside but it was a lovely restaurant. It is a no-frills type place. Our waiter Larry serving us was very attentive and had a great personality, he was making us laugh a lot. He let us sample some of the wines before making our order. We ordered bolognese and spaghetti carbonara, both were lovely and tasted very authentic. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, we were made to feel really welcome for the whole duration of our visit and would definitely return!

Here for NYE, had reservation. Place has nice atmosphere, great service ( Lorenzo) and awesome food!

West Coast Cafe is restaurant where we celebrate special occasions like birthdays. We've been here a few times. Bonus points for accommodating large parties in their back area. Our group was eleven. Everyone was happy with their appetizers, drinks and entrees. Service was excellent. They let us have a taste of the wine before committing to bottles. There are daily specials, so pay attention when the waitress is announcing them. I was really in the mood for pesto and it was not listed on the menu or the specials. The waitress was nice enough to talk to the chef to make me a pesto fettuccine with chicken. Great job everyone at West Coast Cafe.

My first Italian food in SF since 2020, this restaurant really make me happy! The food quality is very good,
1. Bruschetta is excellent, the bread is crispy and the tomato mix with oliver oil has refreshing taste.
2. West coast salad surprised me with a lot of calamari in the toppings.
3. Mixed Seafood spaghetti taste just right. I saw a lot of table ordering this one.
4. Veal with mozzarella cheese on top. I like the meat, tender. There is a piece of ham on top of the mozzarella cheese. I found the ham is a little salty for me.
5. Special tonight, grilled pork chop, big portion and the taste is excellent
The servers are very nice and friend, excellent service and they smile all the time.

This is a very cozy and local Italian place but all the staffs are very friendly. We checked out this place by accident but it ends up we really enjoyed the meal. Food was delicious.

Speciality Italian restaurant serving variety of foods for all palate.
I tried the Linguine Tuttomare (pictured). It was a perfect delicious combination of fresh clams, prawns, scallops & generously spread calamari in a pomodoro sauce. They also ask for shredded parmesan cheese to be sprinkled on the pasta.

Next day tried Lamb Chops (pictured). Mouth watering, delicious, had perfect ingredients and cooked well.

Food did come on time, and they serve appetizer bread when you are seated.
Taste was amazing and fulfilling.
Restaurant has comfortable atmosphere and lot of seating space.

Owner and servers take care for good experience.

We came here with a very large group of people. One of our servers was Larry. That dude was funny he was just himself and it was hilarious. He was great. Food and drinks were great! I never had to sit there and wait for refills or anything! They were extremely accommodating. One of the owners even personally took care of us and he was also a super cool funny down to earth guy! Overall 10/10 I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. The pasta and salmon and tiramisu was amazing! Give these guys a shot they’re awesome!

My husband & I arrived 1/2 hr before closing. The owner was so gracious & told us to have a seat. The caesar salad was delicious, the chicken parm was outstanding & the bolognese was wonderful. Wait staff/servers friendly & efficient

Very nice Italian food. I really enjoyed their angel hair pasta and kind/ attentive service. Nice family atmosphere and traditional looking Italian design that is warm.

Only complaint is if you want more sauce, they charge $5!

Were in San Bruno for a night transit before flying home. What a surprise to find this so nice restaurant! Food was excellent, the service very cordial and nice atmosphere with tablecloths, nice wine glasses etc...Very good price/qualité. I highly recommend it 😃

Great experience . My sister and I came here for the first time initially looking for a café like restaurant. Were both surprised to find such a cute italian place when we walked in. The food was great but the service was amazing.

A meal to remember!!

What a nice little find during my recent trip to the Bay Area. It was my first time in San Bruno, The West Coast Cafe was recommended by the Crown Plaza San Fran Airport staff, they were not wrong as this is an amazing restaurant! I was solo that night, and the owner came to my table to chat and recommend dishes. That's​ class!

My first course was the infamous West Coast Salad with Grilled and marinated seafood on a bed of fresh salad, absolutely delicious!! The ownerAnastasios​' recommendation. My second course was the Vitello Saltimbocca, a wonderfully made dish, finally, I ended my meal with an old favourite Creme Brulee. If you are ever in SanBruno, stop in you won't be disappointed!! The staff and the owner treated me like royalty from the moment​ I walked in !!!

Not too many places have caused me to go in the search for the owner of a place. This time it had me to tears, their lamb chop dish, as it was exquisite. It brought up a core memory of my childhood, it had me transported back to my childhood when my grandfather would share his lamb dish with me. As soon as the smell and flavors hit my taste buds it was a whole childhood trip. Last night I was blessed to have my Mom along for the ride and she agreed, it was the best moments of our lives. The gnocchi was just as exquisite! Creamy, soft delicious gnocchi. Will for sure be back for some more. This is a must try place!!!!

Not a fancy looking restaurant from the outside but inside is a warm, cozy Italian restaurant with great food and staff. Perfect place to dine near SFO!

One of our favourite italian restaurant. Love the west coast salad very much and we always go there.

The food was amazing. The ambience was like a proper old school Italian restaurant. I had the gnocchi with red sauce with the Caprese salad as a starter. Note that the dinner portions are just right for one person if you are also having appetizers and dessert, don't expect to be going home with a box. I always judge a place by their creme brulee and they came through!!!

Fantastic service and delicious, well-proportioned food! Can't wait to visit again in the future.

Great old school Italian restaurant. White table cloths, old paintings and everything. Had the special, fresh clams and prawns over spinach linguini with vodka sauce. Very delicious. Service was quick and very friendly. Highly recommend.
