My husband had surgery here today (November 21,2023). The staff is so amazing. From the doctors, nurses, anesthesiologist, and even the transport volunteer, Jim. Jim and I got to have some wonderful conversations today, as I shared his table so I could color while my husband was in surgery. I have to say, he was the highlight of my day. I really enjoy getting to have random conversations with strangers when the opportunity arises, and today I got to have several. It helped pass the time, and keep me distracted while waiting, and I was given a small glimpse into his life. Moments like this can be so good for the soul. Jim, if you ever get to read this, thank you for being a part of my day today. People like you play such an important role at the hospital, and I'm grateful for you! To the rest of the staff, thank you for your kindness and wonderful treatment of my husband, James. You are all so wonderful!

Edited: my husband had a second surgery on January 25th, 2024. I just wanted to add, that I've never had such a great waiting room experience as I have had at upper valley. This time, Stan was the volunteer that made my day brighter. Jim and Stan are both wonderful, kind souls, and any hospital would be blessed to have their presence there helping out. Stan, if you ever get to read this, thank you for your amazing efforts to welcome people like they are family, and to treat them like best friends. You know how to make surgery days a lot easier, and I am grateful for you. Thank you to the whole staff for being so kind and compassionate! And, thank you for allowing me to take over corners of the waiting room to color! I would give you 10 stars if I could, and multiple reviews! 😊

I went to the ER yesterday while having pain in my upper right side of my torso. I was concerned about a problem with my heart. I could not have had a better experience from the admission desk to check out. Everyone was very friendly, kind, and professional. They had a few tests to run and they all went smoothly and timely. The whole staff deserves kudos and a special shout out to the techs, nurses and Dr. Babienco! I will always use UVMC!

I was induced and delivered a baby boy here last Wednesday and I would give my experience 100 stars if I could! The entire process from my admission to my release was flawless. My nurses the first day, Kylie, Stephanie, and Rochelle, were phenomenal. Dr. Murphy I would take for delivery again in a heartbeat. If you choose this place to deliver your baby I promise you will not regret it!

After having the worst experience at Wilson i took my son here to the emergency department on 10/23/2023 Dr.Reynolds and his crew were amazing. Treated us with respect and listened to me unlike wilson

My son had a procedure done last month, his first time being under anesthesia and I was very nervous. However every person involved in his care came in and introduced themselves, explained the process and their part in his care to my husband and I. I wasn’t sure how equipped the hospital was for toddlers/children but they went above and beyond to keep him occupied, happy, and were all in all amazing with him. I can’t say enough good things about the care we received thank you Dr.Tauley and her team for an amazing experience !!!!

I am blessed to have been an inpatient at UVMC! I have had the best care from my entire team. My nurses, Linda, Roy, and Marion, to name a few were kind, professional and above all caring and attentive. My techs, Anna, She a and the others were all very attentive and caring. Your respiratory therapists, Sarah, Doug, and Brandon were extremely professional and helpful. Your physical and occupational therapists spent a great amount of time getting me ready to go home to my family. Last but not least, Larissa in housekeeping was very professional and kept my room looking and smelling clean with a pleasant smile and always a kind word. Your food is delicious, served by nice staff. I love UVMC!

Our daughter needed stitches, we brought her to UVMC she was well taken care of, her stitches were beautifuly done. I applaud the staff over and over for the love and care they showed my baby.

I was diagnosed with cancer in October 2021 the first hospital I went to did not want to help me this hospital is helping me . They are not judgemental .

I don't ever trust ER's. As a matter of fact, I was extremely skeptical, because I never go to a different ER the next day after one disappoints me. Tuesday evening, I went to Soin medical center and they did absolutely NOTHING for me. Said they couldn't find anything and sent me home with nothing but a lidocaine patch. I ended up getting so mad, I took my own IV out and left. The pain WOULD NOT STOP! As a matter of fact, it got 100 times worse that I couldn't breathe right. I was so desperate to go to another hospital that I chose this one. Best decision I ever made. I cannot remember my doctors name. Think the last name was Moore. I am SO THANKFUL for him. I told him that I wouldn't leave the ER until I got answers because I'm so tired of my pain being ignored. Even though the cat scan showed nothing, he went off a limb and diagnosed me based on what my symptoms were and I can say he is incredibly intelligent because I fully believe he was right. He sent 3 prescriptions in for me, and it's now Friday. Two days later and I'm completely pain free. Sometimes all it takes is one doctor to finally believe you. I have been disappointed by many and I'm so thankful for him. I can go back to work and live a normal life pain free. I highly recommend this hospital. Don't ever let this doctor go Upper Valley. He is one of the best!

I came into the ED yesterday evening after leaving Kettering hospital because of poor treatment & the attitudes I received. I had a swollen throat & fever. I went an seen two different doctors previously for treatment. I go into the ED an no less than 5 mins I was diagnosed with the correct treatment an given the medication that was needed. Today I feel so much better! I appreciate the Doctor an nurse that took care of me. I was in an out in no time.

Had our baby girl delivered this weekend, experience overall was great. Our nurse Kylie was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, caring, and put us at ease during the process. Went above and beyond our entire labor. Thank you so much to the staff at UVMC Maternity!

Since this location opened I've been admitted here well over a dozen times and I've also been admitted to Miami Valley, Good Samaritan, Sycamore, and both Stouder and Piqua Memorial hospitals when they were open, as well as 3 different military hospitals, and of all those I can honestly say that this one has the best staff overall, especially it's nursing staff. You'd think at some point you'd just have to run into a nurse or doctor that was having a bad day or something similar but I've never had a crabby nurse, not even once. Compared to other facilities I have used, this one is the best as far as the friendliness of the staff - especially it's nurses, the overall outcome of my stay, and the food's not too bad either...not that I'd make a reservation to eat here. I have Crohn's disease and the damage left from 3 brain and a dozen spinal cord tumors so I frequently visit here and provided I don't ask them to do things obviously beyond their capabilities, such as digging around in my spinal column, they do a very good job every time. As much as a person can look forward to being at a hospital, if I have to go to one, then this is the one I trust to take care of me.

I had a very good experience with hernia surgery with doctor Daniel Taylor and staff.
However before my surgery they told me I could get 5% off if I paid the bill right then. My insurance had already told me it would be close to $1700 they told me it was 3350. I told them that was double what my insurance said but I reluctantly paid it to get my 5% off which was $3211. While I went into surgery my wife checked with insurance and they said it should be 1669 cost that I should pay. Upper Valley charged me 3211 and 1669 on my Visa card which has been there for a week. They did not give me 5% off the 1669 as discussed. I have since had my Visa Contest both charges and will wait for them to bill me Correctly.

Best experience I’ve ever had at a healthcare facility. Every single staff member I came in contact with was professional, respectful, kind and patient with me. All of them deserve awards for their job well done. Thank you!

Best place to go if you need to figure some things out about your life. Or even if you're just feeling down they will get you back up and running. It's like a break from life. You're having a mental breakdown just go to the uvmc ER and tell them what's going on. You'll be there only as long as it takes to get better. Just tell them the truth and nothing but the truth and they will help you figure out what the root of the problem is.

Recently was admitted with pneumonia. Both ER and patient care were
exceptional in their thoroughness, and their attention to my care.
When I was released, I personally thanked all those who were
involved. Can’t say enough about their professionalism!

have been through Er and stayed in hospital several times since 2012. Could not ask for better people in a time of crisis when I'm out of it with pain, willing to explain why they do things or don't do things like giving extra pain meds or why they need certain tests. Better yet willing to work you making payments.

We were very pleased with the care my husband got after his stroke. All the staff were attentive and friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend UVMC.

My nurses will awesome and very caring! Abby and Cameron took extra care with me and always will to get me anything that I needed.

On my most recent visit, the entire staff was very friendly, proficient, professional, and helpful! They found the issue quickly in the ER, admitted me, and scheduled my needed surgery the next morning. Dr. Larreategui was FANTASTIC! TOP-NOTCH care from start to home! #thanks
