I called around for a last minute move and was quoted a price that I was able to do. I had been quoted a little higher with another company but this one was closer. Being almost 9 months pregnant I was really tight on money, so a few hundred dollars really made a difference. We had everything that we wanted moved packed up and were moving things towards the front door. My boyfriend helped with moving things since we're charged based on time, and again we were really tight on money. We opted out of a lot of the things offered to save money and ended up with a lot of broken things in response. Though polite one of the movers dragged his feet the whole time in the hour and half it took to move everything. Taking tons of breaks while the older mover and my boyfriend were moving heavier things without breaks.

The main complaint i have is the quoted price was nowhere close to the ending cost. For 3 hours I was quoted $390, this was my first time paying for movers so I didn't know that it was too good to be true, ended up paying closer to $550. Even though I was moving down the street with double time charge it was almost 2 1/5 hours of travel time that was charged before they even started moving anything. I wish they were more transparent when quoting me, I asked multiple times while on the phone what the costs would be given the addresses and everything. The other company I had contacted was $400 and they were giving me the opportunity to pay before to secure that price. That's what I get for trying to save $10 though.
